So, our illustrious administrator fails at installing a mod for profiles, and somehow only destroys the RP section. No big loss I guess. I'm sure we all remember where we are.

Anyway, The only real improvement I see is compressing a few sections (all the game sections and the art/graphics). That was one idea I voted for in the begining that most of the forum opposed. Strange to see you and rage like it now.

The tacky names for all the sections I think will just make things harder for new people and more confusing for the rest of us... Until we get use to them. Not that we get a whole lot of new users anyway.

Also, you removed the gender thing, not that it was a large improvement/downgrade.



No surprises here, another all-flash-no-substance update that looked better on paper than in practice. Although the loss of the posts in the RP section wasn't THAT big of a deal, I will say it wasn't worth the minor "improvements" made to the site.

You have to start looking at the site as a user, Steven. We want to be able to easily navigate the forum and post with ease. Things like letting members lock and unlock their own topics, etc. You may think gimmicks like new forum names and more complex profiles gives the site a draw, but I assure you it just makes navigation harder and more time consuming.

I don't think the new names will make things harder on anyone. You see the little note under the forum names? That will tell people what that forum is for. So whether you're new or an oldie you shouldn't have a problem figuring out what goes where.

About the Rp section, that is unfortunate indeed. Like you said however, you guys know where you left off. So no biggie

Kinda sucks, now that I'm finally starting to put the pressure off this site, it gets all patched up. Here on in, I'll be on if i get an e-mail about a new private message, but other than that, just be around about once a week. You guys got my msn though.

And not to stray off topic, the improvements look pretty nifty. lol I almost feel like I influenced something.

Now, for the Site! Its nice to see that the DMC boared has been moved up to draw more attention on to it!, at first I wondered why the hell I had to go down so much to find the other boards, but now it makes perfect sence.

The new names adds a little DMC wit, even if its slightly confusing any one who adores the DMC charm should enjoy this.

This is kind of my problem.

It's like when you walk into a restaurant and they have clever names for everything. Sure, give all the specials and favorites fancy names, but please don't call a plain ol' hamburger a strange name so that it's harder to spot. And for the love of god, you may think it's crafty to have names for the men's and lady's rooms, but I've actually gone into a lady's room accidentally because of stuff like that.

And for what? just so that an enthusiast will give off a cute chuckle before placing their order for the first time?

Sure, call the "spam" section devil's in, or the "gaming" section stylish gaming. But
The Devil's Doodles? Orders from the Sword? What the hell are you smoking!?!?!? I WANT SOME!!!

EDIT: Okay, it really isn't that bad. I just think some of the names are overly tacky, and it could still confuse some people. but I digress...

I have to admit, I really like the new forum names. They make the place feel more like a DMC site. I know they may cause some confusion for people who haven't played the DMC games, but hell, this is a site for DMC fans, and they surely realize what the names mean.

I'm intermediate.

I can't say I'm all that fond of the new names. I can get you or someone else putting them up as, obviously, this is a Devil May Cry board. But Break does have a point that not everything need be done up. I think giving the rules and DMC devoted sections, that's well and fine, let 'em have DMC titles.

But I'll just be honest, if I clicked onto a site that had stylish gaming for a thread, I'd think it's run by either some seriously hardcore fans or fruitbaskets. Not that there's anything wrong with me and thee loving DMC, but let's try not to deter noobs too much.
