This will not be tolerated.  You will recieve three warnings from this behavior then I will ban you for a week, you get back on after that week and start causing more problems, Ill ban you for a month, and if that didnt learn ya then I will make it permanent.  Just by making your posts higher holds no ranking of any sort on this site.  We post to talk and discuss up coming events and stuff like that.  Not to make our posts higher.  If you want to do that I am sure there are more forums out there for that and this isnt the site for you.  Here on SoS we dont tolerate people like that you can call us a tightly knit family here, we look out for one another and like things calm and every now and again a heated debate.  Other than that we dont like ugly behavior. I am sure no one here is going to disagree with me on this one...

Agreed. I have been a member since March and I think I have a little over 500 posts,you can look through them and you will not see a post with only one or two pointless words. I also dont' get why people want their post count high anyways. I just post in the threads that interest me,not just post in areas where it doesn't belong. I do remember seeing a couple people post stuff where it doesn't belong though....He/she acted like it was a chat room or something.

I have noticed that to.  Most of my posts came from the chat room and from various posts.  I dont understand if its where people cant read or if its because they choose not to understand...

Well just because you were not a mod, didn't mean you couldn't do anything. You could've always reported it or something. Mods can't do everything.<_< We still need the help of our fellow members to help us make the site better...... I really hoped I didn't take the thread to off-topic.

Wow. I've been here for over a year. :]

I would just like to say that I have seen a lot of this, especially with the New Members and they have been told to Use the Edit button, and what not, but yet they are still doing it. There has been a lot of cases of this and it is playing on my nerves, and I think that the Term and concept of Power Posting is like going through all the Old Threads and then quoting a Person saying I agree and what not, just to get their posts up. Mods, do you think this concept counts as Power Posting?

I mean they just go to an Old Thread, that say Lobuk for one has commented on and said a Lot of in depth stuff, and has been debating and then the Newbs go there and say:

Newb:

I agree

And this is bugging me, I really hate that they do this, sure if they were going to write an in Depth passage then, perhaps I wouldn't say as much. You know what I mean?

And I would just like to Remind everybody:

It is not about Quantity (meaning number of posts) It is about Quality (meaning what you say in your posts and the amount of Depth)

Anyway, the point is that this would require a new rule and every time we add a new rule people start complaining.

I can make some rules right now that will make this forum a lot more mature. But then again, people would just start complaining.

Talking about Rules, you should Write them out or copy and paste and then Lock the Thread. But as you said people will start complaining because this Forum has been so easy going, hasn't it, but I think it would work better just my opinion. Though I know.
