Mr.Solid i just got a pretty good idea. What if DMC5 continues DMC2 with a story like this.
Like for instance, Nero might hold the power of Sparda. And becuase of Vergil wanting all the power he can get sumhow transfers his soul in Nero. The reason y Vergil would do that would be becuase Vergil want's full power and he sumhow hears that Nero holds the power of Sparda. So Vergil posseses Nero, but the main reason Vergil wants power is to try and recover from wat happened when he fought Mundus, he wants more power to sumhow try to avenge his mother. And the only way to avenge his mother would be to destroy Mundus, but Dante allready did that. So Vergil decides to take fall control of Nero, and then opens a huge hell gate to get in hell and find Dante. Becuase Dante is still stuck in hell, and the reason why Vergil wants to fing Dante is so he can kill him for taking away the only thing Vergil ever wanted to do in he's life, and that was to kill Mundus and avenge his mother. And the lady and trish here about this so they team up with the other lady from DMC2 (forgot her name) anyway that could explain who was on the motorbike after the credits in DMC2. And then the three woman team up to save Dante from the non-stoppable Vergill who now posseses the power of Sparda. But wait theres more Kiera (i think thats her name) from DMC4 becomes the leader of Fortuna, and becuase now she is incharge means she is going to send an hole army of knights to try and resue Nero and destroy Vergil. But the army is also ordered to kill trish, the lady, and the lady from DMC2, and Dante, becuase they all want to kill Vergil the old way, but doing that will kill Nero. And it will be like a final showdown when all the characters reunite.
If Capcom do sumthing like this then they can make a Devil May Cry that explains everything.
