Alastor appears only in DMC 1. It is never used in DMC 2. Alastor allowed Dante to turn into the Alastor demon whenever he Devil Triggered.

Rebellion is a plain standard sword for Dante, but it is also the materialization of Dante's true power. Therefore, the Rebellion would be a much more powerful sword for Dante than the Alastor would have.

    Anything else?

But, in a web of DMC... I read that Alastor is the sword that Sparda left for Dante...

As far as I know, it's Rebellion that a memento from Sparda...

the one that wrote it hasnt even play dmc1.

dante finds alastor on a wall n then gets stabbed by it(smt like a test of the sword/demon to see if dante is worthy of its help).after that he starts usin it.the explanation for not havin this sword in the next games is at the game viewtiful joe.there alastor as a demon is not pleased with dante cuz he is not usin it anymore n leaves him.

the sword in dmc2 is rebellion with bad design.

i think force edge is more powerful than rebellion(it was sparda's main sword) or at least dante thought so.but if he hadnt taken it with him, then how would he be able to make sparda sword?Stick out tongue aslo in the end of dmc3 we can see dante havin force edge next to him(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRoy47yFJvg).so its not that weird to use it istead of rebellion.

Hm... Yeah, I already watch the ending when I finished the DMC3...

    I mean, I didn't see Rebellion anywhere in Dante's office in DMC1...

I juz saw Force Edge hanged on...

well dante has many swords around that we dont see him usin in the games (like the ones seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39Tjfe1Asp8) n even if it was in there none could recognise it,as its even "unrecognisable" in dmc2.also maybe dante holds his really strong devil arms in some other place, hidden from the eyes of the customers.

    I see...

But the most used weapon is Rebellion...

I saw the second form of Force Edge in DMC1 when the amulets already united after Dante defeated Nero Angelo...

    It's pretty cool!

Is there Force Edge in DMC4?
