Hi. Dont have much to say that Im an okay player at the game I first got devil may cry 3 then the first one then the second and so far they are great games. Only thing is that im pretty much bad at advice but if need be I will help. Also Im going to play devil may cry 2 in a while but I heard that it wasnt that great can anyone tell me why? one thing I will say is that DMC2 wasn't all that good, but you can play through it if you want to. Capcom is basically pretending it never happened, so you're not missing anything storywise. But it can be fun sometimes.

Gilver? wasnt that the name that Vergil used in the devil may cry novel? The novel confused me though as in one of the parts explains how Dante got Ebony and Ivory and the novel was before DMC 1 but not before DMC 3 and DMC 3 was before the original but in DMC 3 Dante has Ebony and Ivory, I guess that the writer didnt notice this.

Yep, Gilver was Vergil's alias.

I love the novel, and I even wrote a script on it, reconciling it with DMC canon. Its before DMC3.
