I've heard rumors about the decline of PS2 games. Is it true that they are going to wrap up PS2 game production with a FF:VII Advent Children game?

If there is such a game then I almost suspect that they might. I haven't read or heard anything about it so I cannot confirm, but I dare say that they will stop the production of PS2 games in quite a long while to come.

as long as ps3 sales continue to suck, there will be ps2 games.

Wow. I've been here for over a year. :]

I heard the last year they will be officially supporting Ps2 made games is 2009. After that will be focused on Ps3 and PsP and so on. So hopefully they will make a handful of badass games, and go out with a big bang.
