shadow of the colossus is an awsum game unlike any other, its an awsum game.

You have a starting point and u have to horse ride, climb, swim what ever it takes to reach a Colossi. One of the 16 Massive Collosi

After u kill the Collosi u r back 2 the starting point ready 2 go 2 another Collossi. You continue to do this until the very last one. There r no other pesky monsters 2 kill, no lvl ups, no weapons but your sword and bow and they dont lvl up either. The only things that increases is your health and Stamina.

What makes this game so cool is that what u have 2 kill are the largest monsters on Earth.  You are so miesly and small to some of them u easily fit in the palm of their hands!! others are elephant size, the smallest one is elephant size!!

If you havn't played this game go rent it and try it out now, its an awsum gaming experience.

yeah i rented the game and i clocked i think twice. Then i started to do time attack and i beat 6 collosi on normal time attack. then i had 2 return it . . . but its the enxt game i'm gonna buy 4 sure

I thought this game kicked ass, really one of a kind.  I did have a few problems with it, the game engine itself wasn't perfect, sometimes climbing and jumping was a pain, and not due to a lack of skill, it's just a bit frantic and the camera makes it seems like everything's okay, but then you jump and for some reason he just doesn't grab what he's meant to and falls and catches something else etc.  Also, sometimes you do everything right, but the colossus just shakes 4 times in a row or something, meaning that if you are in the wrong place, you literally cannot do it and you have to start again.  Also the last colossus is badly designed IMO, having to climb for such a long way if you *** up, is not interesting.  Other than that, really a brilliant game, one of my favourites!

Did you know there's a 17th Colossus? You need to complete the game on all difficulty levels, then go round the back of the temple you start at. Round the outside, that is. There's a series of ledges and climbable vines you must use to ascend to the garden at the top of the temple, where the 17th Colossus awaits...

yeah i know that, but i dont think you have to clock the game on all dificulties, u only need MASVE STAMINA!!! like crazy stamina when the circle doesn't even fit on the screen, sum of the right side is cut off. thast how big it has 2 be, i havnt even gotten close to that much, i wish i culd climb it tho, so much to explore in there, and another colosssi, awesome.

i still havnt beat Time Attack on Hard mode, i just cant do it, i can beat all my favourites, but sum of the harder ones, are to hard simple!... it would be good if you were able to do them with your current health and stamina bars.

BTW have you plated ICO? its another game made b4 SOTC byt he same guys. another master piece.

Reign Of Fire

It is a pretty good game,but I kinda hate the fact that you don't upgrade your weapons or get to kill other monsters.It makes me think the game is kinda empty,if you know what I mean.Didn't finish it yet,got boored.But I killed about 8 of them or 12.

I really have to disagree with you on this one. Upgrading your weapons and killing other monsters would completely destroy the atmosphere and the whole idea of the game. Those things doesn't fit to the style of Shadow of the Colossus.

And now to the point. Shadow of the Colossus is one of the best games I have ever played and will surely always be. It is original, unique, atmospheric and breathtaking in almost every aspect. Like the creator of this thread said: It is a gaming experience unlike any other. I love the story, because it leaves lots of room for your own imagination. The encounters with the colossi are unforgottable and there is really a feel of a great adventure when you ride alone with your horse in the vast deserted lands.

One final word: If you own a PS2 you should definitely give a shot for this game. It will surely not please everyone, but for me it was one of the greatest gaming experiences ever.

And yes, I have played ICO. It is a masterpiece as well, but I like SotC even more.

I got boored from this game!I don't quite reccomend it,buy it only if you have patience...and money of course.Of course the encounters with the Colloses is great,but,it's not that good.You have to discover their weak spot and then climb on then and kill them.If you hang around a period of time,a hint will appear.I agree it is a gaming experience like any other,because all you have to do is to ride a horse from 1 place to another.Nothing else.You can't fall in a cliff and die,if you run with the horse and heading for a cliff,he will stop.The only way to die is to get killed by a collosus.The only 1 that actualy killed me was the bull collosus.the rest of them barely touched me.From a scale of 1-10,I give this game a not-so-fair 7,because I like the gameplay.No other game that I played was this empty...I wonder what files are on the DvD that are even taking up the space...

This game is one the best for PS2, the reason its so damn good is that its Original, it is a gaming experience unlike any other. In the game your a young man that had stolen a magical sword, and rode off to an ancient temple where a great demon lays trapped by the seal of the stone Colossi. he tells you  that bring back your love ( the girl ) you must ride out and slay the incarnations of these stone Colossi. This game isn't empty its a masterpiece. as the game progresses the effects of slaying the colossi slowely start to take effect on the boy but he doesn't give in and keeps fighting to save her. the landscapes are beautiful, visuals and movments are superb. When you finally find a Colossi, how you defeat them changes for every colossi, it isn't as simple as climbing them to stab at their head. No other game has boss fights like this.. this game is god damn awesome, and you are a dumb ass.

Most people that have played this game and seen it for what it is would agree with me.
