Some interesting info about Final Fantasy Verses XIII that you may or may not know. I have to admitt, I've always been interested in the game, but this new info is REALLy interesting.

The usual good news for FInal Fantasy games, Tetsuya Nomura is on board for not only his ussual concept and character design, but is also is acting as director for the game. He says the main themes of the game will be "Good and evil don't actually exsist, and are just differing opinions", and bonding.

The story is going to be one of the most tragic in all video game history (coming from the guy who created FFVII and Aerith's death, this should be interesting) and upon completeion will have the player depressed for days. But, that said, he's also saying that the player won't feel so bad that they wished they never played the game in the first place.

Now, for even more interesting stuff. As said, the character designer and concept (story) is Nomura, but also making an apparence is the Kingdom Hearts team and Advent Children teams. The Advent Children team deisgned the trailer that was released not long ago, and are in charge of making the cinima's, graphics, etc... The Kingdom Hearts team will be handling the gameplay (Versus is an action game and not a RPG).

 

 

I gotta say, Normua doing the story and the character design, Advent Children team doing the cinima's and graphics, and the Kingdom Hearts team in charge of the gameplay, Sqaure-Enix is really pulling out all the stops. If these three can work as good as they did alone (well... Normua was involed in both KH and AC...) then this game could be unbeleiveable. I'm still more intersted in seeing and playing DMC4, mostly 'cause I know that one well rock, but I have to say, should DMC4 some-how have it's production haulted and be canceled, I'd still buy a PS3 just for Versus.

I'm really interested in the game. This sound really impressive. One more reason to buy a PS3.

its the only reason im getting a ps3 as well, so i can get ff7 (the new one) and dmc4 i would say ff7 has affected me for many years ever since i first played on it when i was like 7 or something i wasnt too good then but i still play on it now and im 16 ,17 this year though! (happy new year) thats like a decade of final fantasy worshiping dmc followed on the next gen of the playstation that was my fav ps2 game if not for these too games which i played on through out my summer holidays i would never have been a serious gamer, i can never get bored of ff7 i LOVE IT and dmc of course ,,,LONG LIVE CLOUD STRIFE, and dante

I feel sorry for Square (for once, not often I feel sorry for a gaming company). Just once they made a trailer as a gift to the fans to show what FFVII MIGHT look like if it was made for the PS3. Now, even three years later, the rumor that FFVII is being re-made for the PS3 is still alive and going strong.

There is no Final Fantasy VII (7) coming out for the PS3. It was just concept to advertise the PS3 and how good the graphics were. Sqaure-Enix has said at least 10 dozen times that there will be NO plans in the close future to remake FFVII for the PS3, and, as of right now, there is no plans for a new Compliation of FFVII title for the PS3 either.

Lobuk, I am sorry but I disagree entirely with what you just said. Simply because I do not think that Square Soft/Square Enix would give a multi million idea away and say they were making this... I do believe that they will be making it sometime in the Future, but hec, this is just my opinion, what does it matter?

If they even hinted at it they would get so much attention for the next 5 years or how long it would take to make that they'd probably never have to worry about money again. Sqaure-Enix has gone on record time and time again and said there will be NO remake as long as Sony's consules are backwards compatiable, i.e. you can still play the orional.

I love Final Fantasy VII, no one here would dare say otherwise, and I'm one fan that would love to play a re-make with new graphics. But the fact is, it isn't happening. I mean, you're whole reason to beleive they're making it is because they're denying it? Think about that. Secondly think about all the confirmed projects Sqaure, and more importantly, Noruma has right now. Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, the new Kingdom Hearts DS, Final Fantasy XII Relavent Wings, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Verus XIII, Final Fantasy Agito XIII, the supposed Final Fantasy X movie, and many many more. Where in there do you think they have time to make a Final Fantasy VII remake?

There may very well be a FFVII remake one day, but the fact remains they aren't making it right now.

lol i seen that video of the fake ps3 ff7 AND IT DOES SAY PS3 TECH DEMO!  but tha is no reason sqaure soft/enix wouldnt make a ff7 remake who wouldnt buy it!!!!
