They wouldn't kill off Vergil, it would be a VERY stupid move.

 

 All I'm going to say (again) is that Dante whiped Vergils ass at the end of DMC3 and Vergil was stuck in the demon world, possibly dead, but a cutscene shows he IS alive, and about to fight Mundus. Supposedlt, he lost against him and Mundus used him as a puppet later when Dante came to the island with Trish. Dante, of course, didn't know that the strange armoured warrior named Nelo Angelo was actually his twin brother, and fought him 3 different times. On the last time, he defeats him, but Nelo Angelo only retreats, it's very unlikely he is dead, and when Dante discovers he's actually fought his brother again, anf WON again, well, he must fell kinda bad, but what I think is that maybe Vergil was banished back to the Demon World, no longer of use to Mundus, and possibly another demon summoner like Agnus summoned Vergils soul and somehow put it into Neros arm, explaining why Nero's 'demon gaurdian' looks like Nelo Angelo and needs Yamato to be released, but the question still remains, why Nero? Is he somehow a relation to Sparda?

But thats pretty much all I know. Correct me on anything if I'm wrong.

 

O, btw, also wat i thnk is dat if deyr making a dmc5, they shud make it dedicated to vergil, nt Dante r Nero. It only seems fair.

u r right about dante not knowing that vergil was nelo angelo until their last battle when he saw the amulet.....also i dont believe vergil is completely gone...if u recall after dante won against nelo angelo the 3rd tym....mundus told trish" VERGIL HAS BEEN DEFEATED"....been defeated and been killed are two different concepts..i can only conlude that dante destroyed the influence of nelo angelo on vergil....and vergil might be stuck somwere in d demon world biding his tym...
