Dante is stronger so far. Vergil's stronest level so far is Nelo Angelo. Dante beat him in DMC1 and moved on to beat Nelo's master, Mundus. After that he further goes on to get the Deperate Devil Trigger in DMC2 which seems like a slightly less powerful Sparda Trigger that doesn't require the Sparda Sword to transform.

As it stands Dante is far stronger at his highest then Vergil is at his. But in DMC4 I suspect things to even out a bit more.

emmm dude i dont really think dat b/w dante and vergil no one is stronger than the other.For cryin out loud they are twins(identical for that matter),and as i m a twin myself i m not stronger than my brother rather is my bro stronger than me.They r both evenly matched.
