This thread has actually woken up. And of all people it was Break
. Well I'm glad you finally posted another one. It's good to see this place running again.
But about your poem: It wasnt bad. Is this poem about your thoughts or is this a fictional person in your story? I dont really get where the paranoia comes into play though. He says things he believes and doesnt believe in a lot. But nothing strikes me as sounding paranoid.
Beware the Moon
Beware the moon, have you heard of it?
The time of night when the darkness
takes on strange features,
and unleashes horrifying creatures.
Beware the werewolf,
when the full moon looms in the sky
casting shadows of gloom across the ground,
foreshadowing certain doom.
A violent beast,
with an unrelenting hunger
for flesh, bone, and terror.
A never ending feast.
You'll hear it's howl then it starts to growl.
Bares it's fangs,
it snarles and bears it's razor sharp teeth beneath.
Behold this monstrostiy.
full of anger, hate, and animosity.
A vicious foreboding beast,
that should never be unleashed on society.
With gigantic paws, piercing claws and powerful jaws.
Full of think dingy hair.
if you stumble into their lair
and your eyes meet their stare,
you'll wish it were a nightmare.
Go ahead, run if you dare.
You won't escape,
you're only hope is a silver bullet.
Put your finger on the trigger and pull it.
You'd better just pray you dont miss it.
Beware the Vampire.
Known for their insatiable lust for blood.
The only food thats good to them.
Stepping out from behind a drape,
wearing a dark hood and long black cape.
Evil beings of mythical lore.
Don't bother to lock the door,
they'll pour in like smoke from the floor.
A member of the undead, eyes beet red.
With just one glare,
they will instill fear into your heart.
Going straight for the neck,
they nibble, bite, and tear.
You're life literally in their jaws,
they can feast at leisure or tear it apart.
Known for their cunning in seduction,
once you look into their eyes
your mind, body and soul are theirs for exploitation.
On the night of the blood red moon,
they will conspire to transpire.
Only holy water will save you from the slaughter.
Or a cross to keep them at bay,
it will keep you safe for another day.
Beware the Witches
Flying on their broomstick.
Casting spells that make you sick.
Crafting their plagues and curses,
all the while laughing and cackling.
Creating concoctions consisting
of a black cat, wing of a bat, and a hairless rat.
Portions of different magical potions.
Dispensing a spell
straight from the depths of hell.
The likes of which no mortal can repel.
Beware the Moon,
now you've heard of it.
The time of night when the darkness
takes on strange features.
And unleashes horrifying creatures.
I know this one's not so good. Still working on 3. So thought I would post something for now.
