I think you did help him get into art more lol. I told him he should make his own art thread.
Dark Alley's
Here I am in this dark
part of what seems like a city.
Far off in the distance I hear sirens
and a dog's non-stop bark.
This city-these dark, tall alleyways
are dull and stark.
This place is decayed and falling apart.
There's no telling what dangers might lurk.
The walls reach up seemingly to the sky.
I saw all these things
in a dream, I won't lie.
And I can never see beyond these walls.
Can't find my way out of these walls.
Now sounds echo off
off these narrow alley halls.
Sweat beads pour down my face.
Hit the floor like bullets,
and echo throughout this vast,
never-ending place.
I run, trying to find an exit.
No one around, not a soul to help me.
My heart pounds and I start to freak
and I can't help it.
Sitting on a trash can,
is a fat black cat.
Perched up arrogantly on the lid it sat.
It opened it's mouth but the sound that
came out was that of a lion's.
Above me I hear the flutter of wings from a bat.
At the sound of bat wings ring,
I look up but don't see a thing.
Now I hear the sound of my feet
beat against the concrete.
It feels as if I'm running in slow motion.
*Thud*.....*Thud* pounds my feet
against the deserted and broken street.
Trapped in a maze, I felt like a rat.
Running around in a daze,
lost in all of this confusing haze.
Garbage and trash, in the street
scattered about it lays.
Which way do I go?
There are so many different ways.
I turn left, I turn right.
Sky black as night.
Eyes darting left and right with fright.
The sun is out, though there's no sunlight in sight.
This doesn't make any sense.
Now every muscle and nerve is so tense.
Damn, another dead end.
This horrid place of twisted
imagination and pretend.
Loud,booming laughter now
echo's off the walls.
In a panic I dart down another alley.
Only to run into a brickwall.
And onto the cold, dirty ground I fall.
I try to stagger back up and crawl.
I look up at the wall,
it's intimidating because it stands so tall.
There are many different colors on the wall.
And they seem to swirl together to make a face.
I hear the bat wings flutter again.
I look hard and see the image of this horrible place.
The cat, bat, long empty halls, tall brick walls.
All join together to make this huge face.
I hear sirens in the distance,
I hear a dog bark and a child cryin'.
And this face opens it's mouth
and lets out the roar of a lion.
