Re: Why did Dante ditch Rebellion?

The Rebellion from part 3 and part 2 look totally different. I dont know if they are the same or not but judging from the looks of them, they look like 2 totally different swords. Part 3 it is a thick blade with the tip having concave indentions and then pointing out. In part 2 it is a thinner blade, no concave indentions at tip, and different handle. If it is the same sword then they need to explain what the h*** happened to it, cuz it is way different. But i agree with Beo on this that it doesnt look like the same sword.

    Lobuk:

Saying why doesn't Dante keep his weapons is like saying, Why doesn't Meagaman keep all his powers? Why doesn't Link keep all his equipment? Why doesn't Samus keep all her upgrades? Why doesn't Sora keep all his skills? Why doesn't Snake keep all his Camo's?

It's just how video games work, they aren't going to give you your characters at the super-pwerful level they were at the end of the last game at the beginning of the next. It makes the game too boring. Besides, remember, when it comes to why Capcom didn't give DMC1 his DMC3 weapons, is because at the time DMC1 was released DMC3 and it's weapons didn't exsist. They never knew there'd be a prequal.

KA: You are right about that Lobuk but you never said I was right about DOS.... *pouts* tee hee I jumped in your box....

i know, thats exactly what i was saying before.  that is a common video game thing.

about rebellion, there are only a few changes, but like i said waaaaaaaay earlier, that doesn't make it a completely different weapon.  rebellion looks a little different in the DMC4 videos, does that make it a different weapon too?

Rebellion looks like a bunch of aluminum foiled scrunch together in DMC 2.

Re: Why did Dante ditch Rebellion?

Capcom could've at least tried to make the Rebellion in DMC 3 look similar to the one in DMC 2.

...Oh, no, hang on! That would have made sense, right? They don't want that!

And the Rebellion looks exactly the same in DMC 4 like in DMC 3!

    That's just my opinion, anyway...

but you still agree that it is the same sword right?  sure they changed it, but i think it looks so much better in DMC3 anyway, so i think its a welcome change

    Alright!

So I had to actually take pictures from the game with a digital camera cause I couldn’t find ANY pictures... so yeah...

Now, before I start I want to mention ONE thing cause apparently a lot of people didn’t notice...

When Dante FINALLY gets his Devil Trigger for the FIRST time in DMC3, when his sword is in him it transforms, the skulls mouth opens and the sides extend! Now if you don’t believe me... Go watch it in the movie browser.

    This is DMC2 sword:

    This is DMC3 sword:

You’ll notice they are about the same, really, the only diff is one’s more thicker and the concave intention’s at the tip are more inward in DMC3 then they are in DMC2, but, there still there, overall they are the same sword.

Ya, rebellion was the best and most improved weapon installment ever in the DMC series later on.

Ok, i just have one question. If they are overall the same sword then why did they change it at all? If its the same sword why would they even change the way it looks in the first place?
