UPDATE: The information was indeed false, as I suspected. The japanese text didn't line up with the supposed "translation"
In other news, I had one of our awesome japanese speaking IGN users translate some of the profiles on the official site, which I am sure you will all find interesting: (note these are DIRECT translations, so use broken english)
Red Queen:
A sword was developed by the Bureau of the Arts* of the Order of the Sword. Part of the handle is like the accelerator of a bike, and if it is twisted, propellant is discharged from a jet nozzle at the peak**. Due to the thrust of the propellant, even weak people can perform powerful attacks.
-- that was the concept, but with Nero's sword this has been taken and remodelled to the limit, and it is no longer something that could be used by a weak human.
* Art as in technique.
** It literally says 'peak' as in on a mountain. Not sure exactly what part of the sword that's referring to.
Blue Rose:
An existing six-barrelled, large calibre revolver that Nero has remodelled himself. Having forcibly made a second barrel, it is possible to fire two bullets at almost the same time. Thanks to this, the gun is now able to hold its own against multiple demons, or when firmly surrounded by demons.
To the Order of the Sword, swords are the most valued weapons, and there is a tendency to look down on guns, so Nero is the only one who uses a gun even though he's part of the Order.
Kyrie:
Born and raised in Fortuna, the kind-hearted woman Kyrie*
With the leader of the Order of the Sword as her older brother, her duty is to be the songstress in the big festival called the "Demon Sword Festival". Due to circumstances she has come to see the orphan Nero as being like family, and to Nero she exists as something like an older sister or a mother.
*The pronunciation of her name has three syllables, kee-ree-ay, according to the way it's written in Japanese.
She is also working on translating the other character profiles, and might do a few of the newer diary entries.
And obviously, all this new stuff will soon be added to the main DMC4 HQ post, but in a slightly clearer straightforward way lol
