I don't think that they are going to put it on x-box. X box games have all been those get-shot-between-one-and-three-times--and-your-dead type games. Name one game for the x-box that isn't like that.

-From Nero's perpective, Dante is just strange old geezer coming out of nowhere killing off his comrades in his cult. (again, he doesn't know who Dante is)
-The devil arm system is to add more variations to the combo system.
-The strange handle on the sword has other special uses. (I would guess it has something to do with acceleration)
-The circular meter thing beside the stamina gauge is based on a motorcycle's speedometer.( again, based in that previously mentioned "acceleration" thing)
-Cutscenes will be real time (duh, I saw that one coming last year)

okay, here's my 2 cents... send in your damn complaint letters to capcom now. I am not even joking. If Dante is not the main character, at least in the US version of the game (different versions anyone?) then the series is basically lost on US audiences. At the very least, capcom could listen to the fans and make 2 versions of the game or 2 disc or something. I would gladly pay double the price to have Dante return. As for this *** guy, wtf? If your going to do a game with a new character there are some rules that should be followed. 1. make it a side story or make the character a side character. 2. DO NOT under ne circumstances REPLACE the main character. Capcom should well have learned this one by now. Samanoske to Jubei? no good. Cody to Kyle? no good. Samanoske to Soki? no good!!! everytime capcom has made a new character the main character of a game, especially and action adventure game, IT HAS SUCKED!!!!!! I am sick of this new trend of "new main characters for kick ass series." I am even more pissed about MGS because they want to KILL snake. If capcom takes that direction I say we all band together and but the rights to DMC from capcom because dammit, the fans deserve better. listen to the people capcom. dammit listen to the people. I fear that this game will sink to levels of suckiness that even DMC 2 did not touch, because at least Dante was Dante. I'm gonna buy it, no doubt there. at least then I can rightfully write capcom a letter. I really hope this is all just some sick joke or maybe like megaman x 6 where you regain Dante part way through. I would honestly rather switch each mission than have to stick with this new *** all the way through the game. but look at the unexplored. If Dante is a hidden character, beat the game with the damn main character to get Dante. If Dante does not have his own story, cut scenes, and missions, then send all your complaints and even hate mail to capcom because that is the gayest s*** ever.

some of this new stuff sounds kinda cool, but they've made a few too many story related changes.  but i'll probably still end up gettin' it because i'm a DMC fan.  who knows, it might blow all the other games away.  we'll have to wait and see

Right, I am officially not giving up on this game yet!  (He's CRAZY! I hear you say) Well.... maybe.  However after talking to a few reliable sources (and I mean VERY reliable) it would appear that this may not be quite such a DMC4 after all.  So I officially revoke my original opinion until I have more source material to view, until then, I am still going to live in hope that Capcom are smarter than that. (And according to my source...they are.) So I guess there's only one thing left to say...

Again, I say giving Vergil a gun doesn't kill anything... except demons. If it does kill his character you all must hate him twice over now becuase he's used guns twice before. Seriously, how can you call yourself a fan of a character if you have such a low liking of him that him using a weapon you're not used to seeing him with is enough for you to adandom him?

Vergil holding a gun doesn't change or kill anything about him, if he still acts the same it's still Vergil. It might be weird to see him with a gun, but if he acts the same that's all that matters.

I'm the guy who most people think hate Vergil, remember? If you guys like Vergil half as much as you keep claiming then realise a gun changes *** all about him. It's supposed to be him you like, right? Looks to me like it's the lack of a gun most people seem to like.

Vergils choice of fighting style and weaponry is a huge chunk of his personality. The fact he abstains from using guns is related to the inate code of honour Vergil holds himself to. To change that, is to shatter who he is at a much deeper level than just equipment. Changing sword type is bad enough, but using guns is a whole different story. How you can't recognise that, is quite shocking.

 That is of course assuming Nero even IS Vergil...

No, Vergil not using guns is not make up any part of his personality. It's because of his beliefs that he chooses not to use guns. Beliefs help to shape your personality, but again, it's your past that determines who you are and what your personality is.

Although I will admit, after further thought on it I was wrong that Vergil not using guns won't affect his character. It would his character, but I still stand firm that it will have no effect on his personality. In the end the personality and the actions of the character is usually what makes them likable or not. I still say anyone who would dis-own Vergil just because he touched a gun without a personality change has no right to call themselves a Vergil fan in the first place.

Look at Dante fans like Shinigami. They followed Dante through DMC1 and DMC3. Although Dante's personality traits remain the same, but their proportions change allot. Almost, although not quite enough, to the point to making him a new character. And yet they still support him. And SOME of you are telling me that you wouldn't follow Vergil if such a trivial matter of him using guns came up?

I didn't mean anything about Vergil using guns, I'm fine with that I was just replying to the response on Dante not being in the game or being an unlockable character and then such.
