Though Devil's Never Cry is the best song in any DMC game, I didn't understand some parts of it, such as

"Crown me with the

Pure green leaf"

or

"Praise to my father

Blessed by the water"

Can someone help me out?

Let's see, the writers were kinda lazy with the music in DMC3 that has lyrics. Songs like "Devils Never Cry" (it is DNC, it was only thought to be "Devil's Cry" during the first little while before the soundtack was released because all we had to go by was the lyrics to find a name, the offical soundtrack and site of the singer both call the song "Devil's Never Cry") and "Taste the Blood" are remixed a dozen times over through-out DMC3. That's why it's hard to get the offical version.

Contary to popular beleive, the offical version is NOT that which appeared in the first E3 Trailer. That was an edited version that was made to inculde the "Dark Choir" song as well. The real version of the song goes straight into the rock music and skips the choir part. The easiest way to tell if you have the real version is to check when the "We are falling" clean lyrics start. Most edited remixes on the game/soundtrack has the clean lyrics shortened quite a bit, the longer the clean lyrics are, the better the chances are you have the full version.

the part where dante and vergil fight the first time and at the end dante transforms for the first time into his devil form cause he screams for his life..

It's ment to mean something along the lines of....

Force Edge is my father, the blood of my brother is the water.

When Dante and Vergil fought at the end Vergil surrendered Force Edge after he took a massive hit from rebellion, his blood shed seemed to inspire Dante in Devil May Cry one to hunt down Mundus.

Well, the lyrics are hard to figure out...but I saw someone putting in the lyrics and they were wrong about some of the parts, so I will post the lyrics...but remember that this is the trailor version, not the unedited version. I looked at both of the versions of the song but neither of them was the way one person posted it.

this part isn't like this. and there are 3 or 4 different versions of the song (Devils Never Cry) with extra/less lyrics, mixed lyrics etc. anw, here's the right lyrics. it is guarrantee bec it's from Shootie HG's site (www.shootiehg.com)
