@ Spick: I see where you're getting at. But I dont think water is the key to his invulnerability. You gotta remember the setting of MGS2 was Big Shell. They are surrounded by water. It's everywhere. But think back to when he got capped by Raiden the first time and Fortune was holding him, when he awoke he said something like "Dont worry I already died once. I cant die twice." So that means he died once before that. And it's not confirmed the first time involved water.

Got some bad news though. Apparently you can only pick up a copy of the Limited Editon from Gamestop.
And the LE will include a soundtrack from the game, 2 blu ray discs containing "making of MGS4" and interview with Hideo Kojima.
