i think dante knows vergil is in the DB. remember when he hit nero on the arm with the rebellion....it was kinda weird why the DB responded to the rebellion and released its true potentials. Beside that while nero was punching the hell out of dante,,,,his hand was kinnda of changing to its demon form state, but dante controlled it...i think his demon blood was responding to the DB. When dante left the scene of their first fight he said "although i suspect you carry something different from the others..........u will get to know the meaning soon enough but right now business beckons"   so i think he is aware of vergil presence.

hold that thought there joe, think about it. Not everything is a reaction to the DB. Sure its important in the game but, a half demon (especially one as expeirenced as Dante with his DT) would be able to control it. The glitching change could just be a natural instict of the DT to take place when dante is in need of it because, well, lets face it, Dante wasnt prepared for a beating from a young adult like Nero, especially a person in a sling! To Dante, Nero was just a brat with an attitude issue and a gun. That might make Dante's control of his DT less because he didnt think he would need it. And if he was aware of a Demonic presence in Nero there isnt much that he can tell that it would be Virgil. After the fight DEFINATLY, before the fight no way... im not bashing your theory im just putting out evidence. And theres no way you can say that Rebbelion made the DB unlock its potential.

ok...maybe u r right about dante not been aware of vergils presence...but u cant deny the fact dat the rebellion had somethin to do with neros DB activation.....it seems dat the rebellion has a unique way of bringing bck or awaking sleeping souls. for example dantes DT was unlocked by the rebellion in dmc3 wen vergil impaled him with it. so it is not wrong to say that neros DB was unlocked by the rebellion as well....vergil sword(yamato) was the main tool throughout dmc4..so i guess rebellion has a part to play in dmc5, probably.

Ok. That is so wrong. Agnus didn't put the soul in Nero's arm. That would explain the surprise. And the sword in the first game was Force Edge which is Sparda. Dante acquired it at the end of the third game after defeating Vergil. That was the sword Vergil tried to defeat Dante with, you know the big one. Without the amulets, the sword can't achieve its true form which is Sparda. Rebellion is the sword that Sparda gave Dante and Yamato is the sword given to Vergil. I don't know where you got your crazy theories from. Have you played the third game?

i guess reading the comic or something might have twisted things a bit for some ppl.

There is still some truth in what Ch@oZ wrote. Agnus collected powerful Devil Arms and souls of formidable demons. He used fragments of Nelo Angelo's shattered soul to create some of the demons you fight in DMC4 like all the Angelo's. And what was left in Yamato got into Nero's Devil Bringer.

But as Kobayashi stated, Vergil is not dead, only his physical form is destroyed. Who knows what can happen if his soul is released from the Devil Bringer some day.

ok here is what i think it is let us know your thoughts i believe that nero is vergil son it says nero was an auwfin from a young age and vergil did die early so explaines why hes an auwfin i also believe that when dante defeated his brothers soul in dmc1 it was set free and latched on to his son and is realised when he goes into devil trigger mode that would explane how he could resurect the sword but the main reason i believe this is because when dante was about to fight vergil in dmc3 vergil said these words a voice ecohd inside my head give me power give me more power its the exact same words that nero says when he resurects the sword and the devil trigger is unleased for the first time i believe that its vergil talking then ok thats my theoy anyway like to know what you think of it

1) When the hell did Vergil have a change to make children with someone? He bacame Nelo Angelo right after the events of DMC3.

2) At the time of events in DMC4 Vergil wouldn't be nearly old enough to be Nero's father.

3) Vergil NEVER said those words in DMC3.

Dude they would have to be out of there minds to discontinue the series.  Its one of the best selling games out there.  Capcom would have to be f***ed up in the head not to keep the thing going.  I'd like to see it continue as long as Final Fantasy has been going.  That would make me a very happy little man.

ok sorry to burst ur bubble but ur point number three is wrong. vergil indeed said the same words that nero said when he resurrected yamato. In DMC3 before dante and vergil final battle, vergil said this to dante " UNFORTUNATELY OUR SOULS ARE AT ODDS BROTHER..I NEED MORE POWER". Nero also said dis when he resurrected yamato " FROM THAT DAY FORTH MY ARM CHANGED AND A VOICE ECHOED..POWER, I NEED MORE POWER". Looking at this i m free to say JACKPOT
