I thought both were pretty easy, but the first one only took me a couple of days to beat all the difficulties... I mean, yeah Dante was slow, but all the battles were way too easy once you get the hang of their pattern, same goes for the boss battles. In DMC 3, there seemed to me, a wider variety of not only boss battles, but regular ones as well. I don't mean that there were more enemies in DMC 3, I'm just saying that you didn't just have one or two types of enemies coming at you like in DMC 1, but a varied assortment, that caused you to try to figure out which ones you needed to take out first, and which ones could do the most damage left unattended. So, in my opinion, none of them were that hard, but DMC 3 caused you to strategize a little more than the first...that's just my opinion.
