Dun backed off from the window as the countless infected attempted to break into their car.

-"Alright, whatever, let's just get out of here!"- he yelled at the time he shifted seats with Isa and took control of the wheel. He then floored the accelerator and they were off.

-"Have you tried going to an airport?"- he inquired at the time he checked if they were not being followed.

    Re: 28 Days Later:Revolution

"I tried to go in a station but all the trains were blocked then I went to Heathrow Airport, and it was the same with the planes...But we can also try to go to Gatwick airport. It's the closest"

An airport? When she went to Heathrow, she returned immediatly to her car, there were riots everywhere.People trampled on  persons who had fallen down cause of  jostles. The soldiers had orders:nobody could leave London rich or not, infected or non infected. Then the zombies came in and attacked people, the virus spread in few minuts. The soldiers had begun to shoot on people, killing everybody until they were infected themselves. It was just horrible.

Isa brought back her knees against her bosom and leaned on the window and then looked at Dun with curiosity.

"....By the way,you fell asleep before I could ask, what's your story?Do you live in London?"

    Re: 28 Days Later:Revolution

Dun drove a bit nervously as she asked for his past. His eyes were fixed on the road ahead; both front lights brightening the incoming asphalt. Somehow, it was not his life as a thief which embarassed him, but the events that had followed during those 28 days...what he'd done.

-"I have to go to the bathroom..."- he said at the time he stopped the car. Somehow, they'd managed to drive all the way to a location near the London Bridge. As such, the River Thames was visible in the distance, its shimmering surface reflectig the only source of nocturnal light left in London, pale and round up high in the sky -"I won't take long, but if anything happens, just start the car and get the hell out of here. You don't have to worry about me, I've had my fair share of chases with these guys, so under any circumstances, do not leave the vehicle."-

Dun checked that there were no infected ones around and opened the door to exit. He didn't really have to go to the bathroom, he just wanted to get as far away from Isa as he could in that instant...far away from telling the truth. He didn't know why, but he couldn't bring himself to lie to her, tell her that he was a waiter coursing through college or some sort of made-out bull$hit like that. Maybe it was because she reminded him of her...that girl...

Accessing through a locale's shambled entrance, Dun accessed a fancy store where all sorts of elegant articles were being sold. He wasn't worried about the possibility of zombies being there, almost as if he didn't care about an impending death. He finally came across then men's department section.

-"I should change. Being in my undies in front of a girl is not exactly my cup of tea..."-

The images of the first time he'd set eyes upon Isa rushed back into his mind; how he'd sometimes look at her through the corner of his eye when she wasn't watching.
Reminiscing such things made his heart skip a beat as he felt himself flushing a bit. He shook the feeling off and pressed both of his temples with the tips of his index and middle fingers.

-"Now's not the time for that, I should hurry..."- he thought to himself.

    "WAIT!"

Does he hide something? Why is he so pleased....Anyway...

Isa looked around her, everything was peaceful. The reflection of the moon on the River Thames was wonderful, she had never seen London without any lights, any sounds, this was so different.

She descended from the car and stood in front of the river

"Do not leave the vehicle"gnagnagna...!Arf,i react like a little girl...WHY DID HE FLEE?AND IF INFECTED COME,WHAT COULD I DO?I CAN'T LEAVE WITHOUT HIM!"

She was worried about him and that made her nervous. She tried to refloat this feeling but it doesn't want to disappear...Her stomach started to make her suffer. It was really strange, ordinary she was so cold towards people, was she....no.

    Arf,this is unfair....

She started to walk around the car to forget the pain

    Pffff,C'mon hurry up...

Once he was done changing, Dun pulled back his dark lank hair into a small ponytail.

-"There, looking good..."- he said to himself as he stared at the image in the mirror. He now wore an expensive black suit with white button shirt, though oddly enough he kept his worn out sneakers on -"Guess I'll stick to these for good luck."-

Moments later Dun came out of the store, looking at how Isa circled around the vehicle.

-"Hey there."- he greeted casually -"I thought I'd told you it was safer back in the car."-

    Re: 28 Days Later:Revolution

When she heard his voice, the pain disappeared, she heaved a long sigh.

"You know if I die or if I'm infected it's not your problem...."

The sick humour an other way to defend herself then she wink at him and said

"Your suit is classy! But it's really strange to see you...with a trousers..."

She smiled to Dun and went in the car on the back seat

    She waited and joked

"If you're a serial killer, that's fine just try not to kill me,OK?"

    Then said with serious

"If you don't want to tell me your past,It doesn't matter,it's...past.I don't mind...

Well,I'm gonna get some sleep, wake me up if something happens"

She laid on the seat, putting her feet on the window and closed her eyes.In fact she wasn't really tired but her heart was beatting too fast:

    I'm surely stressed,yeah i'm stressed.Calm down....

She was thinking of and him that made her heart beatting faster

    No,no,no!No way!

She took her Ipod which was in her bag,the battery was almost empty.

    The Beatles - Don't Let me down,The Rolling Stones - Angie,Supertramp - Dreamer,Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit.....AH,Nirvana - The man who sold the world.

The beats of her heart slowed down little by little.

John snuck around the back end of the bus and quietly walked over to a small apartment complex. Many of the windows were boarded up, but light was able to sneak through the small cracks. John walked into the building gun at the ready, and looked around. There was light, artificial. Could there be survivors in this building? John cautiously walked over to the lighted room. John opened the door very slowly so as not to alert the infected, then the unexpected happened. John tripped over the room's clutter and fell face first into the floor. He could hear footsteps coming in his direction, just before everything went black/

    Re: 28 Days Later:Revolution

Isa was running through a grey corridor, her face was livid and bent by terror. She turned right but an iron door stopped her,she turned back and ran in the opposite direction. The lights were softened and a disinfectant smell floated in the air.She heard steps on the floor and screams,he was running after her,all became white and a horrible face came up from nowhere....

Isa woke up,trembling and sweating.Everything was black, she surely fell asleep few hours ago.The hum of the motor was the only sound that she was hearing.

I wonder if one day,I'll be able to forget it...

It was hot,She put off her jacket and stretched. Then undertook to go on the passenger's seat.Discreetly,She observed Dun then watched the road. There were papers all along the street and sometimes there were cars which had been left by their owner.

An awkward silence reigned in the car.She took a preserve which was behind the driver's seat and opened it

"Mix of several fruits which had been specially selected for you"

She took a formless thing which had the taste of a necterine,

    Vitamins...

Her belly roared,It was good to eat....

Then proposed to Dun with a honeyed voice, like if she was trying to sell something to him.

    "Hum...You want some?"

    Re: 28 Days Later:Revolution

John groaned, his nose was hurting, but strangely enough his ribs felt fine.

"I patched up those ribs of yours, but your nose is broken. I hope I did an adequate job." said a deep male voice.

John opened his eyes, he was in a very uncomfortable chair hunched over. He looked up and could see fluorescent lights. He couldn't remember what had happened or who he was.

"Your backpack and gun are safe."

"Huh? Gun? Why do I have a gun?"

Wait. It was coming back to him, he was a college student.

"Why wouldn't you have a gun? These are dangerous times."

     Dangerous times, why?

"Did something happen at the school?"

"School? I think I understand now. This explains the ID and backpack." the man whispered to himself.

    "Where am I?"

The man laughed, amnesia he thought. "You are in London. To be more specific, you are in the Happy Homes apartment complex. Now I ought to let you know there are many cannibalistic humans about. A virus is the cause of this and know that Britain is pretty much in a post-apocalyptic state."

"Wow, so much for "the sun never sets on the British empire" huh?"

The man motioned for John to be quiet. He slowly opened the door, then was tackled to the floor by a panting man. "John! Help!" screamed the man

    "S**t s**t s**t! I'll be right there!"

John scanned the room for two seconds and found his backpack. The man was still in a struggle with the infected one. He was just about to get bitten when he shoved his hand in the thing's face. The infected one bit the man and took a big chunk out of his hand.

The man screamed. "F***king A! Shoot! Shoot me! I want to die as a human!"

John didn't know what to do. The virus decided what to do for him, the man had transformed into an infected and got to his feet. Soon, the two were upon John, and John would have died if he didn't leap out the window. John had no idea how high he was, it didn't matter, he would rather die this way than his other choice. He finally hit something, but it wasn't the ground. It was a car, a moving one at least until he fell on it. John could see the driver, it was a beautiful young woman. She looked at him with a surprised countenance.

    "Open the door! Please! Hurry!"

The woman obediently opened the passenger side door and started to drive. Seconds later the two infected men fell onto the black asphalt and painted it red.

    The end is near.

    *************

Staggering, Ruth tried to collect her equilibrium amidst the groggy effects of the Thorazine injected in her bloodstream god knows how long ago.

She shook her head a couple of times, blinking hard.

"*** them all."she whispered. "I'm not schizophrenic, for heaven's sake."

She noticed that she was in a tightly tied straitjacket, and the familiar white cushioned walls reminded her that she, again, is now in the special isolation room. With groggy eyes she looked around and saw the door was opened wide for a split second.

    "Wait."

    The door is wide open.

"I must've gone really crazy here. Stop delusioning, Ruth," she slammed her head to the floor.

Looking back up, she knew this is not a delusion. The door is open.

Dun glanced at Isa for a moment and then at the fruity goodies she was offering him. With a smile, he extended his hand forward and into the package, taking hold of one of the treats.

-"Thanks..."- he said at the time he stared at Isa's eyes. They were somehow...mesmerizing. She appeared like such a free spirit, a good willed person who was both beautiful on the outside and inside. Dun knew he was no slouch himself, but he was far from being a good person. He'd hurt more people than he could ever remember. It was all he'd been taught since he was a child. Even now, if he was the individual he used to be, he'd probably hurt Isa and get what he needed from her, then be on his way.
But it was loneliness which impeded him from doing so; truly knowing what death looked like in the face. He had to understand the extent of the damage he caused through suffering the same damage in return.

Dun deviated his gaze from hers as such thoughts crossed his mind. He didn't want to hurt Isa, probably the only thinking human being left in the graveyard called London...the only one in such a world that made him feel human again.

A smile illuminated the angelic face of Isa,her eyes became blue like the ocean. She radiated then joked

"Why are you so distant with me?Am I so horrible?"

I am....Her face became sad again, she was thinking about what she had done.Is this going to follow her all time?It wasn't her fault after all!But she left him and she couldn't forgive herself. His devasted face...His voice teared by the pain.If she didn't undertake to do this thing, nothing would happened...She was angry with herself,so much this was destroying her.She appeared happy, futile and innocent, she had learned to hide the truth.

I really deserve to be here....

She looked at the road and took an other fruit. The sun was starting to appear:

"We are almost arrived,I can see the airport's roof"

Dun appeared affected by her question.

    -"No, it's not that! It's..."-

    *SCREECH*

It was then that it happened; his distraction had caused him to overlook an abandoned Pick-Up in the middle of the road. He had tried to avoid it in the last second, but that only resulted in the car flipping into a roll until finally stopping upside down in the middle of the road.
