Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
Midori pulled the zipper to mid-chest level and then reached in between her...divine attributes. -"What? Don't you want this?'- she inquired a bit confused. "What do you mean "This?!" the wolf was obviously distraught somehow as the former Silvermyth kept digging into her bossom. She then began to huff, as if making some effort. Wof set a hand over his eyes. "You have GOT to be kidding me!" his ears drawing back now. -"So you don't want them?"- she asked again, even more dazzled than before. "I’d rather pass!" The wolf was having a hard time figuring the human species out. -"Alright then."- she replied at the time she pulled out a small bag of golden coins from within her chest, swung it a bit in front of her face, and then placed it back away into her hiding spot. "Y-you did that on purpose!" he pointed an accusing finger. "You meant to make it ....Gah!, " the wolf then spun around and walked off to go find something more pleaseing to do. -"Waaaaaait a minute."- she said at the time she pulled him by the collar of his shirt and dragging him out -"You're coming with me to the Dutchman, seeing as how you've apparently finished breakfast already."- "Abwha ha ha ha.....why?" His last word came in a squeek as he was dragged off by Midori.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
Should've seen that coming... It seemed like the end for Victor as he was hurled towards the spikes with too much force to alter his course through the air. As he waited for what may well be his last moments, a voice, a faint voice in the back of his head, echoed through his mind. He found himself speaking for the voice, and his words resonated through the entire mansion as if the walls themselves were speaking. "They can run, they can hide... but they will never escape the creatures of the night." Suddenly, Victor's body burst into a mass of blood droplets which scattered just before he hit the spikes. They reformed some distance away in a new shape; a humanoid wearing a charcoal suit, leather riding boots, matching gloves and a long red trench coat. Jet black hair spilled down his back to the base of his spine. Blood red eyes stared daggers at the brute, standing out against deathly pale skin. But the biggest change was the wings. Huge, leathery, black wings furled behind the creature. Victor had spoken his power phrase, and this was his true form. Cracking his neck, Victor extended his left hand and beckoned to his adversary. "Bring it on, chump. I'm just getting started."

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
As Kiyo finished his rather modest breakfast of beef stew and rye bread, he felt an unusual warmth against his chest. He reached under his collar and retrieved the source of the disturbance; it was the shrine maiden's emerald pendant again, flashing a series of alarmingly bright green lights. "What the-" he started before a loud cry of distress rang inside his mind. "The boy! Save him!" the priestess's voice cried before it faded away along with the light from the pendant. "How does the Shrine Maiden know about Siegbert?" Without warning, a sudden "jolt" coursed through Kiyo's spine and a strong sinking feeling overcame his head. His vision rapidly flashed and changed, as though someone was switching channels in his eyes. The mansion's dining hall quickly "faded" out in a reddish haze, and the sight of the Flying Dutchman's front deck "faded" in with a similar fashion. Through this new red spectacle, Kiyo bore witness to the gruesome death of Might in a storm of lightning. And all he could hear was a rapid heart beat and fast, anxious breathing. "Enough!" Kiyo violently shook his head around and blinked uncontrollably until his sight slowly refocused back to normal. Small streams of blood flowed down from his eyes as he looked around to see the familiar sight of the mansion's interior. "Sensei..." Kiyo whispered as he wiped the blood from his face. -Damnit! Why did you leave the boy on the ship?!- Kintoki's voice suddenly berated. "Sensei, what just happened?" -If a person from the House of Suzaku is in dire distress, he can share his sight with another of the same House through the Immortal Eyes of the Vermilion Phoenix, but only if he's close enough.- "Which means-" -The boy is in danger, you fool! Get up and save him!" Without reply, Kiyo sprung up to his feet, nearly toppling over his chair. "Excuse me..." he muttered to the other Silvermyths who remained at the table before he promptly stormed out of the dining hall. As he neared the entrance of the mansion, he spotted the blonde Silvermyth from earlier, dragging her wolfish companion along by the collar. The woman appeared to be heading in the same direction as Kiyo. Right when they both neared the front doors, Kiyo slowed his pace and walked closer to the odd pair. "I hope I'm wrong, but I have a bad feeling that tells me that another Silvermyth was murdered aboard the Dutchman." Kiyo whispered to the woman before opening the door to see yet another ghastly sight. Standing in a dazed stupor before him was Sieg. The poor kid looked like he literally went through Hell and back. On his ash-splotched face was a look of traumatizing terror. His lips were trembling, but he wasn't crying. From head to toe, the boy was covered in pitch black char marks and his hair and clothes were singed at the edges. But surprisingly, none of Sieg's skin appeared to suffer any burns. What really alarmed Kiyo was the large amount of residual magic flowing from the edges of Sieg's body. "M-m-m-monster...k-k-Kiyo....w-we have to s-s-s-top the monster...." Sieg whimpered. Kiyo quickly looked around before kneeling down to Sieg's height.
"What monster? Is it Storm Crow?" the Kiyo asked. But Sieg never replied. His eyes dimmed, his legs quivered and gave out, and his body fell forward as consciousness faded away. The boy's fall was swiftly halted as Kiyo caught him by the shoulders. "Well sh*t..." Kiyo silently cursed.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
Gail and Marauder stared in awe at
Victor after he transformed, but then quickly regained there composure.
“well, you know your power word… it’ll take more than
that to top me boy!” The brute charged towards his advisary, kicking up dust
like a race horse. He pointed his shoulder. "25 seconds in!"
Mary dragged
Killrock with her down a flight of stairs into what appeared to be a
laboratory. to be more precise, it looked like the place they created
Frankenstein’s monster. "I'd like you to lay down on that table, so that
we can start having fun!" she clapped her hands together as a wheelchair
with various tools mounted to it rolled up behind her. "It won't hurt a
bit, I just noticed some things I'd like to fix before we send you off
again."
"Fix?" Killrock didn’t like
how this sounded at all....
"I’m already perfect thank you very
much!" he crossed his arms and looked for the exit, which threw the maze
of Gizmo's was rather hard to spot.
"oh, don't be such a baby!" a
huge metallic arm smacked into Killrock and placed him on the table. iron bonds
then came out of the table and held his wrists and ankles in place. "now,
one of my robots spotted that your one of the newer hucast models, and as such,
you have embarrassing pink photon daggers, as well as a anti-network unit that
should be removed!" Mary slapped on goggles, despite being blind, and
wheeled her way over to Killrock’s side. "but I won't operate if you don't
want me to, but it's a typical procedure here."
"...Anti....networking?,
whaaaa?" The news was new to the Hucast, he didn’t have a problem scraping
the Photon daggers, but what else was she removing?
"It prevents you from contacting
other computers via wireless network that aren't secured by the manufacturer.
In other words, once I'm done, you'll be able to talk with computers, and even
robots, with a wireless internet connection." She smiled as she
anticipated the droids answer.
"oh.... Well, that just sounds
Dandy!" the thought actually intrigued Killrock, and he than began to
process why they would add such a silly feature to him to actually Hinder his
communication skills.
"just as I suspected." the
woman then picked up what looked like a soldering iron and started to poke
around his weaponry. "oh, there it is!" she swiftly ripped the
daggers from the droids weapon holder, ripped off the "do not open"
lids on the base of the blades, and tacked the inside of them, the blades then
started to glow a dark green hew.
The hucast was amazed at how the blind
woman could work so well on machinery. "... I wont lie, I'm a bit leery
with a blind person poking that soldering gun around... how do you work like
that?"
"these
goggles aren't actually goggles, there a robot just like you, they speak to
me." She pulled what appeared to be a hearing aid out of her ear.
"And with this, I can perform maintenance seamlessly!" after slapping
the bottoms of the daggers back on, she slid them back into the droid's holster
and removed his chest plate. "ah, there's the monster!." with a small
tug, the procedure was complete. the hardware was removed and Killrock was now
once again in one piece. "now you should have no problem talking to my
other robots, or even ones outside here who speak the same way." the table
released Killrock as he stood up.
"Wow, Thanks!" he rubbed his
chest to be sure it wouldn’t fall off or anything. "Thanks a bundle!"
"It's the least I could do for my
little mechanical friend! well, we'd better go back upstairs..."
"Agreed!"
Killrock spun and began marching towards the stair way.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
"I hope I'm wrong, but I have a bad feeling that tells me that another Silvermyth was murdered aboard the Dutchman." Midori turned her eyes towards Kiyo as he spoke, never releasing her grasp on Wolf. Before she could even speak a word, Sieg had already accessed Mary's manor in such a ravaged state. -"Take the boy away for medical treatment and inform Gail about the situation."- she instructed at the time the blonde huntress approached the entrance -"Wolf, I think it's time you showed me the entireness of your repertoire...things might get rough further ahead..."-

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
Cracking an arrogant smile, Victor waited for Marauder to get close before unfurling his wings - which turned out to be a massive 6 metres tip to tip - and, with a single mighty beat, launched himself into the air over his opponent's head. As soon as his feet left the ground he twisted in the air, his wings folding up, so he was upside down when Marauder came along below him. The dhampir reached out, gripped Marauder by the head and let his momentum carry him along as he wrenched the guy's neck in an attempt to bring him to the floor. If he could keep Marauder on the floor and stop him throwing his weight around so much, he could use the opportunity to lay a quick beating on the guy before he regained his offensive momentum.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
"This boy...he couldn't have..." Kiyo muttered as he inspected the numerous black char marks that covered Sieg's body. The abnormal amounts of residual magic that flowed from the boy had piqued Kiyo's curiosity. -You think the boy did...that?- Kintoki murmured. "There's only one way to be sure." Kiyo turned Sieg over and checked his back. His doubts were instantly cast away; two long, vertical, crimson scorch marks streaked down Sieg's back. The discovery unsettled Kiyo so much that a momentary twitch of the eyebrows managed to break through his normally emotionless facade. "Impossible! This talentless waif pulled off a full Phoenix Assimilation?!" -That's a top ranked technique that even you had trouble mastering.- "Just what the hell is this kid?" "Take the boy away for medical treatment and inform Gail about the situation." the blonde Silvermyth ordered. Kiyo suddenly snapped out of his train of thought and glanced huntress who caught up to him. "This kid is in no danger. If my suspicions are correct, then most of his wounds are inadvertently....self inflicted." the burly Suzaku replied. "He might actually prove useful to us after all..." Kiyo thought to himself as he rose to his feet and hoisted Sieg over his shoulder. "Gail is still in the basement with Victor. So that leaves Akasuki. The last time I saw her, she was in the hospital wing." At the mention of the hospital wing, one of the nearby maid-bots approached Kiyo and made a beckoning gesture. "So, you're going to show me the way? Very well. But do so with haste. We're short on time." Kiyo said, staring at the automated servant. After a series of beeps and blares, the droid spun around and hurried off up the stairs with remarkable speed. "Well at least these odd contraptions follow orders right down to the word..." Kiyo thought as he sprinted off after his mechanical guide. After a series of twists and turns through the mansion's elaborate hallways, Kiyo finally ended up in front of a large set of double doors that had a Red-Cross neon sign over it. "Thanks. I can find my way from here." Kiyo muttered to the maid-bot. The robot blared out a series of acknowledging high-pitched bleeps before turning around and returning to its daily chores. Upon pushing through the doors and strolling through a series of empty medical beds, Kiyo finally located Akasuki, who stood watch over a bed-ridden Silvermyth. The brawny man carefully set Sieg down on a nearby bed before approaching Akasuki.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
"What the!? let go of my head!!" The overseer flailed his arms around as he tried to find Victor. he was much faster now, and could actually compensate for Marauder's longer limbs. he twirled about, and tried to punch his opponent off of himself, but it wasn't too long before the dhampir pulled his foe to the ground. "DAMN IT!" Victor would have to act fast however, he was only getting more aggressive as time went on, and he wouldn't be on the ground for long. "a minute in, you've got plenty of time vic." Gail smiled as he drank from a glass of milk. The android led Kiyo right to akasuki, who was still trying to piece together her sword inside the medical wing. unlike the rest of the house, this place looked very up to date. it would actually pass as a real hospital. "Hello Kiyo." Akasuki was casually leaning up against a wall, looking over at Afonos, who layed there motionless. "It's ashame, I don't know how much longer he's going to live, after being corrupted by Vega, you're said not to last very long. I wonder if he knows that, he'd probubly be better of spending the rest of his days some place fun, not here, spending the last few days of his life fighting for a world he soon won't be a part of." Akasuki looked back over at Kiyo, impassive as she spoke. "but I know that's not what you rushed in here for. what happened?"

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
"There was an attack on the Dutchman last night and Might was killed in action. I suspect that it was the work of Storm Crow." Kiyo replied, delivering the grim news with his usual, impassive expression. He then observed the bed-ridden Silvermyth. Unlike Sieg, he was in critical condition and was hanging on by a mere thread. -Maybe we should cleanse his system with...- Kintoki offered before Kiyo cut him off. "He is not of the House of Suzaku. His body wouldn't be able to handle the stress of Suzaku 'purification' fire." Kiyo whispered mentally. -If only we had Raikoh's Bell of Cleansing....- "Even if he's barely older than a child, he's still a warrior. And all warriors who enter battle must acknowledge the fact that they might not return alive. To do otherwise would be naive." A few seconds of silence passed by before Kiyo spoke again. "Akasuki, the mansion will probably be next. I can help you fuse your sword back together if needed, but we must prepare for attack. Storm Crow could strike at any moment."

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
Akasuki smiled and looked down at Kiyo's hand, or more appropriately, his ring. "aww, it's nice to see a piece of steel like yourself can at least care for people, but you see, his condition is actually stable, it's just the curse that does the killing, if he was completely healthy, he would still die. there is a cure... but I fear it would take too long to get, and it would take many lives in it's harvest, and even then it's a little risky." Akasuki returned her gaze to Kiyo himself. "I saw no evidence of an attack, no any sign of a struggle. I suppose it was one of your visions? at any rate, Might is indeed missing, so it's highly plausible he was killed." She brushed her hair as she continued speaking. "I had a talk with Mary early this morning, and she said it would take several weeks to fix the Dutchmen. Gail and I decided this was too long to wait, so We're going to travel on foot to the Industrial Trinity once he's done helping out Mary with her cargo problem. Mary offered to lend us a dessert hopper. it's small, but it's more than we can ask of her kindness. If storm crow is out there, he will likely follow us. if he doesn't... well... I hope the robot's hold up..." Storm Crow looked into the medicle
wing from the window. “How was my brother overcome by such fools?” shakeing his
head, he truged away froom the window, wondering what to do next.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
Now that I've gotten you down... Shifting so he was on top of Marauder, Victor proceeded to test his newfound strength by bombarding his opponent with a ceaseless barrage of punches to the face. He knew he was taking a risk by leaving himself completely open in terms of defense, but opportunities like this seemed to be the only chances Vic would get to weaken Marauder. Hopefully, if this transformation was temporary, it would last until Vic had this fight won, 'cause he was in major trouble if he returned to normal while Marauder could still take him down...

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
*Wack *
*Crunch *
The overseer’s helmet cracked in
two under the stress of victors attacks.
His face was the next target of Vic’s brutal assault. However, to his
astonishment, Marauder’s face wasn’t bruising as he landed the crashing blows.
“Gragh!” The overseer gave victor a shove with his hand, and then once he was
off of his chest, he kicked him the rest of the way off and stood up.
Marauder grabbed at his face. It had, as far as he could remember,
never been seen in combat. He didn’t have the kind of face you’d expect to see
under a mask. He had a large jaw, and jet black hair that swooped over his left
eye. “Ah, you are definitely one of the stronger foes I’ve faced. No one has
ever seen my face under these conditions.” He continued to feel his own face as
he stood up the rest of the way. He knew that Victor’s power word would only
keep working for a while longer, then he’d have a window of opportunity to
inflict some real pain before/if he transformed back. But he couldn’t risk
waiting that long. If he got off another attack like that last one, he’d be in
serious trouble. In fact, he wasn’t quite sure if he could hold up against Gail
after an assault like that.
The time to use his power word was
now.
“But, you know, despite how good
you where, you’ll only find success… through the fire and flames!”
Once again, a seemingly endless
army of flaming dragons immerged from the overseer’s palm. They slowly grew to
adequate size as the prepared to kamikaze Victor. Perhaps he would have dodged
the incoming assault, perhaps he would have survived every dragon that hit him,
or maybe it would all be too much and it would just fry him like fast food, but
nobody would ever know. The overseer wasn’t the only one who decided to use his
power word…
Before colliding with Victor, the
dragons stopped in mid air. As they hovered, there flame turned from a hot red
to a deep blue, but the color wasn’t the only thing to change, so was the
intended target. The dragon’s redirected there assault back onto Marauder
himself.
“Gail…damn you and your power wor…”
The end of the overseer’s sentence
was muffled by the sound of exploding dragons.
“Well that was fun. Sorry for
ending the battle for you Vic, but we have a Demon to catch. On the up side,
you clocked in at a minute and thirty seconds, so here’s twenty.” After paying
up, Gail approached Marauder with his scythe out, and rested his foot on the
overseer’s chest. “You cheated! Those weren’t the rules!” “I suppose not, but I
did you a favor when I didn’t tell Vic you where a highlander. Had he realized
how easy it would be to tear your head off rather than pummeled it, you
wouldn’t be here b****ing right now. So, tell your friend to let the midget go
and we’ll get out of here.” He didn’t
have to, Jam let Smally go on the spot. “Thanks guys!” he said in his squeaky
voice before departing upstairs. “Now dude, you know we can’t let you go that
easy mode of transportation would be nice…” “…For crying out loud Gail, just
ask for the keys to the sand shark!”
Marauder tossed a remote control into the half demon’s waiting hand. “
Ah, control of the Marauder’s famous sand submarine. Room for 20, and the only
thing on kabrakia that’s faster than my Dutchmen.” “when it has it’s props on.”
the old duo chuckled at the comment.
“just remember Gail, it only works in the sand, you’ll have to get out
at Valhalla and travel the rest of the way to the industrial trinity from
there. I’d also prefer you mail the remote back to me when your done with her…
It took me five years to build that thing.”
“I perfectly understand, Let’s go
round everyone up victor, we’ve got ourselves a new ride!”
“…And you!” The overseer pointed at
Victor. “I will be looking forward to fighting you again once your duty is
over…we can use weapons too.” Marauder smiled as he quickly sprinted up the
stairs with his companion, not waiting for his previous adversary’s reply.
“Anyway, that’s a nice power word
ya got there. I haven’t seen too many transformation phrases, but the ones I
have seen don’t last very long. On the up side, you don’t have to wait too long
to use it again.”
Just as Gail got upstairs, he witnessed Smally being
picked up and carried away by a Chinese dragon. “wow… I didn’t drink that much
this morning did I?”

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
Clutching his winnings, Victor watched the proceedings with a look of satisfaction and mild amusement. He gave Marauder a nod of acknowledgement, impressed by his immense physical strength, and turned to follow Gail when his body suddenly exploded into the familiar mass of blood droplets. They reformed on the spot into the original Victor, who stumbled a little and shook his head slightly, feeling a little disoriented. The first ever use of his power word hadn't taken as big a toll as he thought it would. In fact, he felt physically fine; he was just really thirsty, and that was what made him feel exhausted. Adjusting his shades, the dhampir headed back upstairs to the dining room to grab a few blood pouches. Downing a coupla those would soon restore his strength. Upon reaching the almost deserted room, he noticed the absence of Wolf.
"Where'd the wolf guy get to? I believe he owes me a knife."

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)
Epsilon knelt behind a stack of goods and studied the darkened silhouette of the ship. He sensed an unspeakable evil, and an unforgivable weakness emanating from the vessel. “Too late.” He thought. But even as these thoughts went through his head he rose from his place and quickly glided up the ramp to enter the hold of the ship. A sharp ionized smell hit him as he entered the crew quarters. The air in the confined space almost crackled with electricity. It was, however, the sense of loss, of evil winning over weakness that left an indelible mark. Epsilon’s forte, his strength, was to move people, to make changes. Here there was nothing for him to do in the aftermath. Yet something told him that there was a reason for his visit. Epsilon entered the hallway, which ran down the center of the ship. The vacant space took on an almost haunted air. He felt a bead of sweat form at his temple and glide down his face. Slowly he made his way down the hall. A faint, almost imperceptible noise caught his attention. The hairs stood up on Epsilon’s neck as he realized that the sound was emanating within a few inches of his ear. Startled, he jumped back only to see a dimly lit painting hanging on the wall. Perplexed he closed on the image to get a better look. Despite himself Epsilon could not help but smile. There hanging on the wall was DaVinci’s Ritratto di Cecilia Gallerani. A portrait of a beautiful woman holding what appears to be a shrew in her arms. The style was unmistakable. Only the master could combine such opposing elements so tactfully. Even here the image took his breath away. Suddenly, the maiden turned to face Epsilon. Before he could react, her face changed from quiet contemplation to a mixture of horror and pain. Looking down Epsilon felt the bile rise up into his throat . There in the young girl’s arm the shrew was boring into her flesh with fierce thrusts of his razor like claws. Bone became exposed along with ruined muscle and tendon. Before he could react the shrew looked up and seemed to notice Epsilon for the first time. He drew back his ears and opened his mouth to show aggressively large fangs With an insane rage the shrew leapt off of the canvass and appeared to easily transform from a two dimensional to three dimensional vengance. Epsilon threw up his arms in shock, still not believing what he had seen. He waited for the sharp claw, the hideous snout to come boring in . Instead….nothing. Only the hollow thump of something hitting the floor. Slowly he lowered his arms. There hanging before him the lady and her shrew. Serenity. Bending down he picked up a battered flute. “Might’s flute.” He thought. He pondered what he had just seen. What he had felt. Slowly he turned on his heal and gently dropped the flute in his pocket. He thought he heard a deranged laugh as he left the confines of the ship and entered the world of sunlight.
