"Dante & Vergil" Has got a point...

I think DMC1 was the hardest game because

it was the first time for anyone to play this

difficult a game...

If you didn't beat it on DMD! then you have no place to claim DMC1 was easy if you're skipping the hardest difficulty. That would be like saying Royal Gaurd is the worst style without acctually trying it or learning how to use it.

Posts like this really hurt yourself and your own points then they do us. Resulting to pity insults and name calling is never a good way to argue a point. I'm not saying I'm better at DMC than you, I am coffident and cocky enough to say I'm much better than the average DMC player, but I fully realise there are many people better than me, and will probably always be. But I still don't beleive you found DMD! to be easy, and based on what you said, you didn't.

Dante & Vergil:

Just calm down guys. DMC1 was pretty damn hard especially since I'm on hard and still can't beat Nelo Angelo the FIRST F***ING TIME AROUND!!! But I might not be as good as mostly every one on this site, and mabe he did beat the game with ease, I mean it may be hard to belive but you guys can't say anything until you actually see him do it. 

I'm sorry if you thought my origonal post was heated or tempered, it really wasn't, I wa simply dissagreeing with him, as I didn't beleive him. I do realise everyone is different, and some games are hard to some and easy for others, but DMD was obviously designed to be as hard as it can be without being impossible. But at the same time, he really can't claim he easily beat DMD!, because firstly, he admitted he didn't inculde it, secondly, we have every right to state our opinons if we don't beleive him. You're right we can't be 100% sure it's a lie without seeing it, but we also can't really beleive it without proof.

I'm not saying DMC1 was the hardest, nor that DMC3 is the hardest. It comes down to the gamer's skill, some will find DMC1 harder, others won't. It's a matter of opinion. Again, I'm sorry if it seems like I'm being mean to Vergil#1, I really am trying to be as kind as I can, while still expressing my opinions and my disbeleif of his earlier post.

One thing I will say in conculsion is, this should be based on how hard the game was on each difficulty on your first playthough of the game, not now after your used to it. On my first play through of DMC3, Vergil 3 kicked my ass probably 5 times on normal before I beat him. Now I can beat Vergil 3 on DMD! without getting hit (and without cheating, in other words without Super Dante AND without Quicksilver, just normal Dante and Swordmaster), does that mean DMC3 DMD! is easy? Does it mean DMC1 is harder? No, it just means I've grown allot and gained allot of skill, it was a pain in the ass the first time, but as I went through I got better. Which is why I think this should mostly be based on first playthroughs.

Lobuk makes a good point, that it should be based on the first playthrough of the game and on all difficulty levels, for me DMC1 was the hardest because it was the first time I had played a game like that! Now that doesn't mean I don't find DMC3 any easier, but after DMC1 I had a little more experience to the situation!

I'm not trying to start an flame war here, as I just posted in the other topic, it's just that your saying things I don't agree with, so I'm argueing why I don't beleive you.

But that is exactly my point. Recently you beat DMD! and found it easy. Now that you've gained skill and experience DMD! is a cake walk. But the way this topic should be argued is in the past tense, how hard was the game when you first played it? How hard was DMD! when you first unlocked it? That's what should be asked here.

I'm not saying that it's impossible for someone to beat DMD! easily their first time. I am saying on the other hand that it is VERY unlikely. I'm sorry but you and Dante & Vergil are actually looking at this the wrong way. You're saying that you may have been able to easily beat DMD! your first time and that we should beleive you or give proof why you shouldn't have been able too. But it should be the other way around.

Think of it this way, if I said ghosts were real, you'd probably tell me you don't beleive me and to proof it because it's taken as fact that they are not real. You're saying that DMD! was easy, I'm telling you I don't beleive you and to proof it because it's taken as fact that DMD! is very hard.

Yeah the first deffo. SO much harder, i only completed it on DMD mode a few months back, i had come back to it thinking (from playing dmc3) that if you were in DT you'd be resistant to attack, so mundus' homing fireballs would be no prob......didn't happen

then i found you could deflect them, and i kicked his face in.

That's true but some it's easy and for others (like me for instance) get our asses beeten in by almost any boss in only hard difficulty. DMD sounds like their not f****ing around and sounds like I won't even get pass the bloody puppets mission.(for those of you who don't know that is mission 1)

Just remeber D&V (too lazy to post your full name), in DMD!, the key to success is to kill the enemies before they can Devil Trigger, and not get hit (even more so important than it was on earlier difficulties). If the enemies DT, then the best choice is to match them with your own DT. Of course, that's if your playing DMC1, DMC3 is a different matter...

Dante must Die mode is all about you showing off perfected gameplay skillz.. Thats what the first 2 difficulties were for.  The game teaches you (very painfully) to master Dante's technique for maximum destruction.  Plus it also gives you the change to level up the hell outta Dante so you have a fighting chance in DMD mode.  By the time you approach DMD mode, you will know what weapon set is best for each boss and enemy set, and have a full understanding of your devil arms and their devil triggers.

Brave or Grave

I'm trying my best to beat Hard Mode in DMC 1 but i'm stuck on Mission 6 where i have the Guiding Light and have to go to the sun dial. But those damn Frost beasts keep getting in my way in the sewer and they're hard to beat (How do i beat these damn critters easily) Also i don't have alot of orbs...Man this *** is hard.

Well the original idea is to use Ifrit on those guys because they're made of ice... but if you started on hard mode and didn't go into it by beating normal then... um... just doge like crazy then when you get an opening spam your attacks like there is no tommorow.

No i beat Normal that's how i got the Hard mode. It's too bad that i beat Easy but when the game starts again from the beginning i can't go into Normal by beating easy. I have a save file with Easy and i have all the Ifrit and Alastor moves, cause it wouldn't have been that hard by then. But thanks for the advice...i hate those damn Frost beasties...i have to beat them to unlock the damn door in the sewer while the Guiding Light is sapping up my health.
