Not a complete remake... just a sort of... you know, behind the scenes of DMC2... maybe telling the story from another view other than Dante and Lucia... maybe change the monsters and weapons, althoguh not the main objective...

Nope, I actually agree! That'll take up time they should be spending on DMC5 and that's not acceptable. Bring on DMC5 and forget the stupidness that was DMC2 (Don't make copies 2!)

The only reason i didnt really enjoy DMC2 was that i expected a really really good game after playing the first one so i guess i just had my hopes set too high for something.  All in all it was a good game but compared to the others in the series its a huge letdown.

....Yeah....so they're gonna squeeze DMC5 in between the timeline of 4 and 2, huh?

But like I said before in another thread, it's not too early or too late to come up with a remake of DMC2, if they don't pull it off crappy. I mean, look at how well Tomb Raider did.

Seriously, tho, i think Capcom either needs a boot to the butt over DMC2, or their IQ checked.

i loved the bosses and the new fighing style bt the storyline just didnt do it for me am sorry to say i seriously think it was the worst out of the 4 the only main think i liked was dantes devil trigger i thought he looked awsome with his devil wings tht looked kool bt i dont know it just never done it for me then i was happy when dmc 3 came out that was kool game

Anyway, DMC 2 was maybe a letdown, but we need to know what happend to Dante between 4 and 2 before saying that it doesn't match the storyline. ( Maybe Dante suffered a huge emitional shock because of something or somebody.)

 We have to see what comes out of DMC 5

th only things that disapointed me was the lack of variety of weapons,that most of the cutscenes were BORING with dante not talking,the need to play with lucia too in order to unlock the next mode n the use of diesel clothes as costumes(they sucked).but there many good stuff.more combos with the sword,the whole dt system(including ddt),the enemies that looked like demons(the flying goats),the wall running n the rolls,the more realistic moves of dante(stinger) n the urban enviroments were good additions n some of them still exist in the other 2 games.i liked dmc2.it isnt the best for sure but it is good.

n the idea of a remake is for killing.lets just stay in continueing the plot n filling the holes of the story with new games.

A remake could happen, but not for a while. Look at Resident Evil, didn't get a remake for years and it was on new technology by then. It came out great!!

Maybe they shouldn't concentrate on DMC 5 yet, they should remake DMC 2, and I think with the new tech and stuff, it'll really kick ass!

DMC 2.... I loved it and hated it... It's like you're waiting all day to hang out with you're best bud, and he finally comes along...with his girlfriend. Lucia should have merely been an unlockable character, like Trish, with Dante's stats and health and stuf, but she did not make a really good character at all, and her storyline was pathetic. It was the cliched "Save the Princess" thing all over again, and she could'nt really take care of herself at all. That's wat sucked, people. Really.

I can stand Dante's emo fashion, and the costume, (although he could have used a few more cutscenes grrr.. and we need the cocky attitude), and I'm sure we all can, but I think DMC 2 Dante's gameplay and personality were chopped up by the developer's concentration on Lucia.

That hits the bone there.

dmc2 sucked.... that's all there is to say...

as most of you said: it has no story whatsoever

weapons were poor: they were practically the same, only one sword had more power but slower attack speed and vice versa

Lucia: ....... wtf? who the hell is that??

Arius: ........ again: wtf?? who the hell is that???

Despair embodied: ....... who the hell is that, where did he come from and were did he fit into the story?????

positive points: the enemies were pretty cool and dante's dt looked great

Looks like this is going to be one Hell of a Party!

Well, at the time I loved it. When part 3 came around I realized how much it sucked. I can say the coolest parts of it were the wall run, backflips, and the DT. They really should have left the acrobats in part 3 and 4 as they did in DmC2. With or without trickster, he should have basic acrobatics. His DT in part 2 in my opinion was the best out of the series. It's what a DT should really be. Not the weird looking alien form of part 3, and not just a lame glow in part 1. Although 4's DT wasnt so bad.

Story...well we wont go there.
