    Alleyway, Somewhere in Nordat

[The smell of vomit and urine filled Vergil’s nostrils as he followed Serena down the dark alley, with the sun setting fast, the night-lights clicked on lighting their way. Piles of trash littered the ground from over filled dumpsters and cans, each time they took a step through puddles of murky water it clung to Vergil’s coat, staining it even further. He might have complained, but his clothes were long ragged from the fights from earlier, not to mention he wasn’t very fond of the suit anyway. Solomon had picked it out for him while he had been away. Serena didn’t seem to mind at all about how bad her dress was getting more damaged and sullied. When she had suggested that they might need help infiltrating the docks he almost said something, but the look she gave him suddenly silenced him. He knew that she had much more experience when it came to raids, and at the moment they really didn’t have any idea what was waiting for them when they reached the docks. Could be just what the lycan had said…or could be more.]

Vergil: “Just where is it that we are going?’

Serena: “This city has not changed in structure since I was last here about four hundred years ago. If I’m right, then there should be…” [Checking the walls] Yes, here…[Placing her hand on one of the bricks she pressed in. The brick slide easily making a depression. Part of the wall opposite broke way revealing a door that should not even be there. Peering in Vergil spotted a staircase leading down. Serena passed by him heading down without hesitating.] “Coming?”

[She didn’t even look back, but she knew he was following, hearing his footsteps behind. For what seemed like an eternity, they ventured down till the staircase lead to a large opening deep under the city. Pipes of all shapes and sizes lined the walls, some carrying sewage, the others electricity. Deep in the center of the room, a long trench carried clean water to some unseen place; up above them were catwalks jutting from the walls, suspended by wires. Once they cleared the doorway, a large metal gate slammed down behind them, blocking their seemly only exit. Heavily armed soldiers appeared above and through the tunnels located all around, numbered in thirties their faces hidden behind masks with goggles that gave off a deep purplish glow. The guns they trained on Serena and Vergil looked far more advanced and deadlier than Vergil have ever know any military to wield. Drawing Dragmus, the blade blazed brighter as he gripped the handle tight. ]

Serena: Vergil wait. [Holding a hand in front on him as she stepped forward.] Don’t shoot!

    Solider: Identify yourself!

Serena: [Lifting up her dress she exposed the back of her left thigh to the solider, showing a tattoo that Vergil knew all too well. He’d seen it a few times in many of the books Solomon had in his library, there were times the old wolf even told him stories about his encounters with the secret society] I’m one of you. I’m Agent Lady D.

Solider: [Looking to one of the others.] Got tell the Captain. [Look back at Serena and Vergil.] As for you two…hand over your weapons. We will see if your story checks out. [He motioned for two others to move in and take the swords, keeping their weapons trained.]

[Serena handed over Kiyoshi with out an effort, though Vergil was reluctant at first to give up Dragmus. After he handled the Devil Arm over, they were escorted down a hallway lit by small lights overhead.]

Vergil: I didn’t know you used to be an agent of Brimstone. Your father never mentioned that to me, or your sister.

Serena: It seems there is a lot you don’t know about me.

    ***********************************************************************

Brimstone Headquarters, 11th Branch, Under Nordat, Main Briefing Room

[Capt. John Stakes smoked heavily on his cigar looking over the layout of the docks as the two entered. Almost seventy, the man was far from feeble or weak, his face was outlined with someone who had seen too much killing, and lived for it. He regarded the two for a moment as his men escorted them closer to the table. The woman gazed at him with a hard look, but she could see that he was nobody to mess with; the boy on the other hand…]

Capt. Stakes: So…[Taking another puff at his cigar.] This is the famous Lady D. I checked the records and you check out. [Walking over to her saluting] It’s a honor to work with you, many of the heads thought that you were long dead. [He returned Vergil’s gaze with the same cold look.] And who is this boy?

Serena: A ward of my father’s…

Capt. Stakes: Yes…Solomon. Your sister talked much about him, and even then he isn’t a stranger to Brimstone.

    Serena: Serenity?

Capt. Stakes: Yes, she has become quite an asset to us. Welcome to the BlackGuard Lady D. We serve Brimstone, but we are our own unit. She joined us quite some time ago…We know what happened, when been posted here watching one of the Merchants of Death.

    Serena: I see… they are still around…

Capt. Stakes: Unfortunately, though this one hits more close to your family …[Dropping a dossier of pictures over the map.] You see, someone from your family has been working for them.

Serena: [Taking a look at the pictures, quietly she scanned through them…spotting a all to familiar face.] !!!

    Vergil: Vermin…[Looking at the pictures.]

Capt. Stakes: Yes, as he goes by now. [Looking at Serena] But then I’m sure you used to know him as Ericks.

Serena: Yes…he was the first human turned by my father. [Remembering] He was also at the party…

Capt. Stakes: We …arrived only after the place burned to the ground…we are sorry.

Serena: That does not matter now…

Capt. Stakes: I know, we been monitoring the docks…

Serena: [A little surprised] So you know where they are at as well?

Capt. Stakes: Yes, Mistress Jade owns those docks along with a few warehouses.

    Serena: Who?

Capt. Stakes: She’s a Mechant of Death, one of the stronger ones who deals in everything: Drugs, Slaves, and weapons. My recon team has keeping an eye on the activities there. It seems she is preparing for a long trip. Her men have be moving large containers onto a cargo ship for the past few hours.

Serena: If she’s about to depart then we must go after her now!

Capt. Stakes: [Giving her a grin] We intend too.

    Nordat Docks

[Walking back and forth as his fellow guard stood in a corner relieving himself, the vampiric guard looked at the man’s neck; ever since Vermin told them to be watchful and not to leave their post, the hunger grew within him. He could smell the warm blood flowing through the human guards veins, it was too much; creeping silently behind the man, he lunged for him, sinking deep into the skin. After draining the body dry, the vampiric guard dropped the body to the ground, resuming his duties.]

Guard: AAHHH…that really did hit the spot….

[Continuing his duties, the guard left the body where it was and turned away; only to have his head explode from a bullet fired from a high-powered sniper-rife. The rest of his body dropped to the ground in a slump. Heavy boots rushed by the two corpses in a quick pace, heading deeper in the many buildings of the docks. The BlackGuard were quick and efficient to Vergil’s surprising. Dispatching of the guards in quick silent manners, hardly leaving him or Serena much to do except to follow behind Capt. John Stakes as he communicated with his men through a earpiece. “Stand back and let us show you why Brimstone regards us in the highest respect.” Moreover, to Vergil’s amazement, they were. Given new clothes, Vergil had wore the BlackGuard’s combat fatigues and a combat vest. When offered one of their guns he flat out refused, preferring to only use Dragmus. Serena stood next to him dress in a tight leather jumpsuit that hugged her body, bringing out all the curves and definitions of her body. Like him, she refused a gun, only wielding her sword Kiyoshi. From time to time he couldn’t help but gaze at her, the serious look of a warrior on her face, along with the determination to free her father and sister.]

Serena: [Looking over at him] What is it?

Vergil: [Turning a slight shade of pink] N-nothing….

Serena: They are pretty good, wouldn’t you agree?

Vergil: Yes. Not bad for humans.

Serena: Your father always did say that they never did cease to amaze him.

[Ignoring the remark for a moment he stopped at the door of one warehouse close to the water’s edge. Placing his hand on the door he closed his eyes in concentration.]

    Vergil: Here…this is the one…

Serena: [Feeling the door herself] You’re right, they are in there…and something else. I’m not sure, but whatever it is, it’s demonic…

Vergil: Well then…[Lifting his hand in the air, it catching fire, the same green flame as Dragmus] how shall we answer?

    *******************************************************

    Inside Xerxes’ Lab

Xerxes: As I said Mistress Jade, it should work. From what I can decipher the seal is very strong. The rune circle I created should be powerful enough to unlock it…but I must ask? How do you plan on controlling the demon when she’s free?

Mistress Jade: I know a binding spell that will hold her at bay. I may not be a true sorceress, but I know enough about the demon world to hold my own!

[Suddenly there was a sound of alarms going off, limping to one of the monitors Xerxes checked the security system. One camera posted at the main doors revealed that they had been blow off, standing at the entrance were two people. One Xerxes remembered all too well. ]

Xerxes: It’s her! That damned lycan whore! [Smashing his fist onto the keyboard.] Lady D!

Mistress Jade: Who? [Looking over his shoulder at the screen, snarling.] And that boy! [Seeing the sword in Vergil’s hand.] I know that weapon…it’s Solomon’s….[Screaming into a intercom.] Intruders! Kill them on sight…Now!

    ************************************************************

    Xerxes’ Laboratory

[It didn’t take long after the alarm was sounded, that Serena and Vergil were surrounded by vampires and lycans; the vampires brandished guns and rifles, opening fire upon the two. Vergil blocked with Dragmus, teleporting forward, cutting down a guard. Serena dodged the bullets aimed her way using Kiyoshi to deflect a few back. With a leap she was up in the air landing onto the rafters above, where some vampiric guards were positioned. Looking down she spotted what she was looking for, far in the corner was a huge holding cell. Inside were the survivors, bound and chained in silver. Vermin and a few other lycans herded them down a corridor. ]

Vermin: Hurry up! Can’t you hear that? They are getting closer! [Sniffing the air. Turning around to facing Serena.] Ah, I was wondering if you survived or not. I swore I thought I had killed you, heh, but then again. I killed a lot of people that night. [Seeing Kiyoshi.] Ha! Still using a sword? So it’s true, you are nothing more than a tame dog, just like your old man.

Serena: Your going to pay for what you have done. [Looking at the other lycans coming to Vermin’s side.] All of you…

Vermin: No…I don’t think that’s how it’s going to work honey…it’s just a shame we are going to have to kill you. But then again I think your sister will be a lot more fun. [Licking his lips]

Serena: [Low growl] What have you done with her and my father…

Vermin: [Taking off his shirt] Nothing, yet.. Mistress Jade has something fun planned for those two…

[Vermin and the other lycans that were with him transformed, approaching Serena growling and snapping their fangs, slowly she back up holding Kiyoshi in front of her.]

Xerxes: Stop! Leave her to me…

[Behind the lycans, Xerxes emerged from the hallway, making his way through the group.]

Xerxes: It has been a while hasn’t it Lady D? Do you remember what you did? To me!?

Serena: The Grand Inquisitor himself…I thought me and Mynce left your for dead.

Xerxes: You are skillful with a sword, but I am a master of science! It took me a long time to repair what you did to me…I haven’t forgotten! [Pulling out a control box, pressing a button.] I am sure you know about the little drug your friend here has been taking. A master piece if I must say…

    Serena: You? You created it?

[The ground started to shake, down the hallway there was the sounds of someone screaming, followed by an unholy howl.]

Xerxes: Yes, it’s true work of art. Course I need the proper materials to create it. [Looking down the hallway.] And I found them in that….

[Xerxes, Vermin, and the other lycans moved to the side, far to the side. Looking down the hallway Serena could smell and almost taste what was coming. It was big, nasty, and full of rage. Breaking through, a large four-legged orange beast broke through. Almost canine-like, it focused its five glowing eyes on Serena. Hanging out of its mouth was a long yellow tongue, acid dripping onto the floor, in smoking puddles. The monster lifted its head in the air and howled, Serena stepped back covering her ears. Her sixth sense warned her just in time; leaping back she avoided a swipe from his sharp claws. It growled, matching forward, panting hot breath.]

    **********************************************************

Ferril: Well well, so you’re really the son of Sparda eh? [Holding Yamato over her shoulder, smirking at Vergil] hhmm I would have expected more.

Vergil: Yamato…[pointing Dragmus in her direction.] You will give me what is mine!

Ferril: What? [Holding Yamato] This? Ha! This sword isn’t worthy to be in your hands!

Rouge: She’s quite right. [Appearing next to Ferril, holding Kashir; around her neck was Vergil’s amulet.] You really don’t appear to be anything like your father.

[Vergil gritted his teeth at both sisters; balling his fist, it burst into flame. They both leaped out of the way as the fireball exploded between them. He was upon Ferril first swinging downward with a mighty force; she blocked using Yamato. Getting to her feet, Rouge sprinted for Vergil, holding the end of Kashir swinging into him. Kashir connected into Vergil’s midsection, sending him flying into a stack of canisters. Ferril jumped into the air, pointing the end of Yamato for Vergil’s neck. He rolled to the side attacking with Dragmus, followed by a kick. Ferril dodged the sword, but not Vergil’s boot; she flew into a computer monitor. Rouge flung blood at Vergil, remembering last time, he teleported away.]

    Rouge: Smart boy…

Vergil: [Gripping Dragmus growling] Give me back my amulet...

Rouge: It doesn’t fit you. It’s more of an item for a girl. [Posing for him.] Wouldn’t you say?

Vergil: You vampiric …[Looking down on the floor. While she had distracted him, she had bled on the floor, her blood moved toward him, like a snake. Just in time, Vergil rolled out of the way.] You are quite different from most vampires, you and your sister…

Ferril: That is because we are daughter’s of Kagan you pathetic half-breed!

Vergil: Kagan…so you two are his offspring. He must be one powerful vampire. [Smirking] Maybe I’ll pay him a visit after I’m done caving you two up.

Ferril: You have some balls kid. [Looking to Rouge.] His kill settles this once and for all right?

    Rouge: Of course...

Mistress Jade: Ferril, Rouge! [Shouting, walking up to both of them.] We don’t have time for this! [Seeing Vergil.] So, you are Sparda’s son?

[Vergil didn’t reply, ten green flaming phantom swords appeared around him, all aiming for the three vampiric women. Mistress Jade grinned a lipless smile. Solomon appeared before Mistress Jade, snarling at Vergil. The swords disappeared…]

Mistress Jade: Good dog... [Patting Solomon’s head, looking to her daughters.]  We are leaving! [Looking at Vergil] I don’t have time for you; I have more important things right now! Besides, it looks like your wrench is in trouble..[Looking over to Serena.]

[Vergil took a quick glance, but then looked over; Serena was in trouble…Even through she was able to dodge most the of the Hellyote’s attacks, she was still starting to feel fatigue. Vergil looked to Mistress Jade and her daughters, then over to Serena. Gritting his teeth, he ran over to Serena’s aid. Mistress Jade laughed and turned around, heading outside. Meanwhile, Serena was doing her best to avoid being taken down by the Hellyote, and keeping it distracted from other caged werewolves. Kiyoshi was held in front of her as she circled with the large demon; acid had eating away at most of the floor, making it difficult to keep her footing. The demon clawed at her, she leaped into the air floating, withdrawing her blade. Three arcs of light sliced into the monster, only mildly fazing him. ]

Serena: He’s too strong… [Breathing hard.]

[The Hellyote snapped it’s jaws at Serena, who barely moved to safety. Panting hard, she held Kiyoshi in a guarding stance, her violet eyes staring into the demons. Suddenly Vergil appeared, swinging downward on the Hellyote’s face, blinding the middle eye. It yelped, opening pours in its skin, shooting spikes in various directions. One went through Serena’s leg; several others killed or wounded the few lycans who were trying to escape. Ignoring the pain, Serena herded out the survivors while Vergil kept the demon occupied.

Serena: Hurry! [Helping out those wounded, ignoring the pain.]

[She led them all outside through double-doors just in time to catch a transport helicopter taking off. She was able to spot Ferril and Rouge through one of the windows, Rouge blew a kiss followed by a wink. Another helicopter about to take off held Xerxes, who was just climbing.]

Xerxes: [Spotting Serena] It’s her! Hurry up and take off!! [Shouting to the pilot]

Serena: You are not going anywhere! [Taking great leaps across the grounds towards the copter.]

Xerxes: Faster! Faster! She’s almost on us!

[The helicopter slowly lifted above the ground when Serena came upon it, with a quick slash the main rotor flew off, the vehicle smashed to the ground. Xerxes fell backwards out of his seat, Serena looked down at him, he eyes turning white. The pilot tried to move from his seat, but she detached his head from his body.]

    Serena: Your not going anywhere!

Xerxes: Wait! [Holding up his arms] Don’t! I beg you!

Serena: Beg? [Grabbing him by the throat.] I’m going to kill you again…

[Smashing through the warehouse walls, the Hellyote burst through, in its jaws was Vergil, half his clothes and body scared by the beast’s acidic saliva. Vergil’s eyes glowed green, gritting his teeth. Distracted, Serena barly managed to miss Xerxes making a run for it. He almost made it had some unkown men in black combat gear appeared, guns trained on him.]

Soldier 1: Hold it right! Don’t move or we will shoot!

[Xerxes stopped, holding up his hands in surrender, Serena cracked the end of Kiyoshi over the back of his head, knocking him out cold. ]

Serena: Take him, he’s too valuable to kill now.

[Meanwhile, Vergil rolled to the side as a clawed paw slammed into the earth where he hand just been. Four phantom swords appeared, aiming for the remaining eyes, blinding the demon. Rearing up on it’s hind legs, it howled in great pain. Seeing the opening, Vergil charged forward, digging into the underbelly of the Hellyote. Concentrating he channeled his power into his hands. His eyes glowed green, his skin turned a slate gray; charged with his power, Vergil dug his hands deeper inside, ripping through the ribcage, wrapping around what he was sensing. The demon’s beating heart. With a yell, he released his power into the demonic organ, vaporizing the heart completely. The Hellyote stiffened, falling to the ground in a large heap. The Black Guards rushed up rifles ready, but soon they lowered them, after seeing the demon was dead. ]

    Solderi2: What in God’s name…

Vergil stared on, his eyes blazing green, his body slowly regenerating in front of the men. With a mighty roar, he screamed, collapsing to the ground unconscious.

Capt. Stakes: [Approaching] Who is he?

Serena: [Walking up] He is Vergil…Sparda’s son….

    Posting!

Finally! I bring more!  20 is a little bit longer than usual. I Still have to re-do the last 10 chapters I have, but I think it will be easy since I'm not going to be changing much they were fine, I just seemed to write myself in a corner with the earlier chapters seeing how I had better ideas popping up. Nice to know people are still reading it and are wanting the rest to come out.  Be patient it will be done! Or I'll die trying!

[Vergil stood up looking at his arm slowly flexing. Power, for one moment he felt it. The demon inside him had stirred, his soul was briefly on fire, filled with the power of the dark world; and he loved it. His clothes were in ruin, but fortunately, Brimstone provided him with new garbs. As he past by a mirror, he stopped and looked at himself in the mirror. His hair was down and his skin completely healed; he looked at his own reflection for a moment. Smirking, he pulled back his hair, turned and walked out. ]

    **********************************************************

    Brimstone Headquarters 11th Branch, Warroom.

Capt Stakes: [Walking up to Serena who was looking at a radar screen. As it the sweep pasted by a blip appeared, moving each to it lit up. A solemn look was on her face as she watched the cargo ship move father and father out of range.] Don’t worry, we know where they are going.

Serena: [Looking over at him.] Xerxes talked? [Looking back at the screen] You should have let me speak to him…alone.

Capt Stakes: [ Letting out a short laugh, lighting up a cigar] If I did that, there wouldn’t be anything left than pieces. [Taking a deep puff, blowing out a smoke ring.] I know about your history with him.

Serena: Why is he still alive!?

Capt. Stakes:…Brimstone believes that he is quite valuable alive. Given that he is the oldest of Kagan’s spawn, they believe that he might know a lot about this “Cult of Kagan” than he is letting on…besides, there is a sibling of his within the ranks of Brimstone that would love to have a word with him.

Serena: And what about the ship?

Capt. Stakes: All that he would say is Valez Isle.

    Serena: Valez Isle?

Capt. Stakes: We don’t have much on the place, mostly considered a isle of the damned. During WWII there was a Allied airbase stationed there, but no one ever reported back since it’s first establishment, it was abandoned only a few weeks later.. Before that, it was a trading port and mining outpost…didn’t last long as well. Every agent that has been scent by Brimstone to that cursed place has never returned. [Dropping a thick leather-bound envelope in front of her] This is all we have on it.

Serena: [Picking up the envelope, opening and looking at the contents.] Why is Mistress Jade interested in this Isle?

Capt. Stakes: We don’t know…but there is a something in there that might be of interest to you…[He watched as she looked through the papers, finding a few sheets older than the rest.] It talks about the end of the Mage Wars, and a Sage single-handily sealing away a powerful mage…

[As she looked over the sheets, the shock was sudden but swift…looking at Capt. Stakes, he only returned the look with a gaze.]

    Thanks

As long as someone likes it, I'm happy with it.   As For how I came up with the Idea, mostly after writing my long DMC FanFic, First Encounters, I figured that Vergil deserves one as well. After playing DMC 3 and reading the mangas along with the Capcom's official take on him I worked from there. They were separated after Eva's death so I figured, just what happened as they were growing up?  The way Vergil acts and carries himself, just screams out high-class, while Dante is more Lower-class or someone who comes from the wrong side of the tracks. I just figured that Vergil might have been more well off than Dante, meaning that he was raised in the upper crust. Who better than a rich Lycan who was a friend to Sparda right?. Anywho here are two more chapters, and I'm going to upload what I have now onto Devil's Lair.org's fanfiction section. It's going to be in parts since I got heat from the owner for just sending in my first one in chapters...

[A large black submarine stood docked before Serena and Vergil. Busy, the BlackGuard loaded the vessel with weapons and supplies. Capt. Stakes approached holding a case, the look on his face with stern, impossible with for ether two to read the man’s face].

Capt. Stakes: When you two are ready, we shall launch.

Serena: Excellent, I do think we are ready.

Capt. Stakes: [Nodding] good, follow me then.

[The three boarded the sub, a horn sounded off, signaling that the ship was preparing to launch. Everything was loaded up and the ship was closed tight. Slowly it backed off, submerging slowly into the dark cold water.]

    Aboard The Vengeance

Rouge: [Getting to her feet off the bed with a stretch] Ooohhh, that was delightful…you surely know how to please my dear. [Looking over her shoulder to the prone form on the cot in a fetal position] I think I’ll get myself a snack. [Slipping into a blood-red robe, heading for the door.] Now don’t go anywhere.

[The Door slammed shut leaving Serenity in silence; the tears were there but they wouldn’t come. Already the marks on her body were starting to heal, but the scent lingered. For the past few days Rouge and her sister would come into her cabin. She begged for them to stop, but in the end she always succumbed. Last night the Ferril suggested that they let her father watch, but Mistress Jade refused to let the lycan leave her side; she preferred to make him suffer. Curling herself tighter into a ball she used what time she had to rest and heal; knowing that it wouldn’t be long before they came at her again….]

    Aboard BlackGuard Sub, Artic Ocean

[The cold wind blasted Serena in the face as she emerged onto the observation deck of the sub. She could tell that soon she could shed the light jacket she was wearing, her body starting to fully adapt to the cold. The sky was cast a dark gray, the sea a dull dark blue; for a whole week they tracked Mistress Jade’s ship. For safekeeping, they kept a good distance away to avoid any sort of detection, at Vergil’s suggestion; claiming that he could track the sub; which would explain why the sub had been traveling above the sea, rather than below. He had assured everyone that he could sense the ship from such a distance, but Serena figured it was an excuse for him to keep to himself, and not be bothered. Everyone else except for her and Capt. Stakes would approach him, but he only spoke a few words and that was that. Serena stood a few feet away from him, looking at the cargo ship in the distance. Yet still so far away, she was able to make out the name of the ship on the side; straining her eyes, she could make out people aboard, most likely lycans.  Vergil was a statue, his hands behind his back, eyes closed deep in concentration. ]

    Serena: …

    Vergil: …

[She looked in his direction and saw “Him” instead.]

    Vergil: What is it?

    Serena: [Looking away] Nothing….

    Vergil: It’s stopping.

    Serena: What?

[Looking towards the ship, Vergil was right. The ship had stopped. Looking closer, she spotted three large helicopters emerging from the craft. Slowly they rose into the air, heading southwest. The sub halted, Capt. Stakes appeared dressed in a thick coat.]

Capt. Stakes: They stopped, but I don’t have to tell you that.

Vergil: Three helicopters are off heading southwest.

Capt. Stakes: Valez Isle…[looking out to the sea.]

[Approaching out of the icy sea a Russian sub surfaced, lining up with the BlackGuard sub. From the new sub uniformed men appeared, the markings of Brimstone on their shoulders. After them, a woman followed; from her appearance, she was high-ranking, maybe the captain of the sub itself. A bridge extended, connecting the two vessels; Capt. Stakes, Serena, and Vergil met the woman on the deck of the BlackGuard sub.]

Woman: *In Russian* Welcome Capt. It has been a long time hasn’t it? I do believe you owe me a dinner. [Cocked smile]

Cat. Stakes: *Russian* Yes, it has been a while. Too bad our meeting isn’t in better circumstances. Are you tracking the helicopters?

Woman: *Russian* Yes, they are heading to Valez. [Handing Capt. Stakes a large parcel.] This is everything we have on it. Be careful Captain…that place is dangerous. The very few who have returned…[She composed herself quickly saluting, looking towards Serena.] And do not worry Lady D, we are tracking the ship as well, wherever it goes to shore, Brimstone will be there.

[With that, everyone boarded their respectful subs, and the bridge was separated. Both subs submerged into the sea, splitting off in different directions.]

Helicopter Enroute to Valez Island, Artic Ocean

[The silver-lined cords that held Serenity’s hands irritated her wrists severely. Her skin was red and worn around her wrists, almost ready to tear apart. She ignored the pain as best she could, looking around at the other passengers. Vermin and a few of his lycan traitors were conversing with themselves, Rouge was piloting the helicopter along with Ferril who kept bickering at one another. And seated across from her were Mistress Jade and her father, Solomon; still in werewolf form. Mistress Jade was slowly stroking his fur, scratching under the collar that kept his free will subverted. She dug her nails deep into his fur, hitting a nerve spot. He emitted a low whimper as her finger dug deeper, the white fur around her finger turning red. ]

Serenity: [very low growl] Stop that, you’re hurting him…

Mistress Jade: [Soft Chuckle] Yes I know.

Serenity: You ***! Your whorish ***! Why don’t you just get it over with and kill us! I know who you are now. My father told me all about you, how you used to be Kagan’s favored before…

[Mistress Jade’s movements were quick, her hand at Serenity’s throat. She looked at her with her dull gold eyes, watching the light out of Serenity’s slowly dim. Before Serenity passed out, Jade let her go, falling to the ground in a slump coughing and gagging; Solomon watched.]

Mistress Jade: [Digging her heel into Serenity’s cheek, drawing blood] Yes that’s right! Before your *** of a father did this to me! [Raking Solomon across the face with her claws, knocking him to the floor. He merely looked at her, awaiting commands, blood dripping on the floor from his wounds.] Oh look at him…come, lick my feet! [Without hesitating, Solomon obediently licked.]

[Serenity only looked in horror as her father did as Mistress Jade commanded, when she tried to close her eyes, Jade would dig deeper into her skin. ]

Mistress Jade: [Kneeling down, whispering in Serenity’s face.] I don’t kill you, because I want you to suffer. [Licking the blood from Serenity’s cheek.] And I have other uses for you…your time will come…just wait…yes, your time will come.

Abandoned Russian Air Base, Valez Island

[The entire base was a tomb, deadly silent save for the sound of the waves crashing onto the beach. Airplanes, jeeps, and supply trucks old and rusted out, of no use scattered the landscape. The BlackGuard spread out searching each decrepit building spotting no bodies or any sort of struggle, just nothing. From what the parcel contained about the island, it made sense. The very few who returned from the island had bizarre information in their reports, even baffling Brimstone; Capt. Stakes took no chances having prepared early, each of his men were dress and armed in items that had been blessed by Vatican priests. Capt. Stakes and Serena stood with two other members of BlackGuard, figuring out a plan of action. The entire island was surrounded by a large mountain range that extended high into the sky. So far the only entrance through the mountains didn’t appear on the map, almost as if it had never been there. Away from the group was Vergil standing near the beach, kneeling down. He dug his hand into the sand of the beach.]

Vergil: This place is filled with demonic power. I can feel it running throughout the island like a pulsing vein. What is here on this island? What secrets does it hold? Maybe even something about my father?

[He looked up at the large mountain range that surrounded the entire edged of the island. Something was up there…]

Serena: [Approaching, carrying a military pack] It’s been decided that we are going to split up and find a way in. The reports on this island are real sketchy; there may exists three ways in, but not confirmed. We are splitting up in four groups, the BlackGuard in three units, and the fourth you and me.

Vergil: Interesting set up, any reason for that?

Serena: You don’t look like the type to work well in a group. Your actions at the dock proved that. I’m just tagging along to see what the Son of Sparda is capable of.

Vergil: I’ll accept that, for now…

Serena: So, [Walking past Vergil] any ideas where we should look?

Vergil: [Looking up into the mountains]….Up…

    ****************************************************************

    High in the Valez Mountains

[Standing on the edge of a rock face, a warrior stood. Dressed in an elaborate red armor, the knight looked through a telescope at the trespassers. Except for that scarred vampire and her band, no one else had set foot on the island in years; it had been decades, no centuries since a worthy adversary was here; not since his queen’s imprisonment. Zooming in closer on the heavily armed soldiers, he spotted two people that stood out, a woman and a boy, who were not heavily armed. In fact, they wielded swords! Licking his lips, his hand gripped the handle of his staff tightly. Finally! Could he have found a real challenge?]

Dark Voice: [In a loud roar] RUSSO!!!

[The Red Knight didn’t turn as the source of the roar leapt down next to him, teeth and claws ready. The hulking demon pressed his face close to Russo’s facemask; it’s icy breath blowing into the Red Knight’s eyes who merely brushed his hand in front of the monster’s face.]

Russo: Not now Brozen! I have no time for another pointless fight. I have spotted a real challenge!

Brozen: [Sneering] Do not talk to me like that vampire! If not for your queen, I would have killed you long ago! Be glad that she holds you in such high regards, for I do not!

Russo: Yes, yes, but now is not the time. We have guests. [Pointing downward] Look…

Brozen: [Looking down at the airbase] Psh! Humans! How pathetic, those last human warriors were hardly a threat at all. [Spotting the woman and boy.] …Wait! Those two…a lycan…and the boy…I don’t know about the him, he seems human…but…

Russo: Exactly…looks like we might have worthy adversaries today.

    Brozen: Yes!…It truly does…

    Valez Caves

[Serenity’s legs were getting tired; it had been two whole days since she last slept, too afraid to sleep especially with the sisters around. Since the lab and the Hellyote had been destroyed, Vermin’s supply of B.M.-56 had been rapidly running out. He was becoming more wild and irate, from the looks Mistress Jade had been giving him, she could tell the vampire was considering what use he served any longer. They had been traveling through a system of caves slowly through the mountains. Solomon and a few of the lycans were up front sniffing for a way to the other side. Mistress Jade explained that the caves have changed somehow, from closer inspection at the walls, something tunneled out these caves, something in masses. Everyone was heavily armed with assault weapons and grenades. A rock caught Serenity’s foot, knocking her to the floor.]

    Vermin: [Reaching down] Allow me…

Serenity: [Kicking away at Vermin, getting to her feet.] Don’t touch me traitor! You butcher! You killed your own people!

Vermin: My people? [Grabbing her by the collar] My people died long ago! I wasn’t born this way! [Tossing her to the ground, towering over her.] If it wasn’t for your father, I could have died with them!

Serenity: My father saved your life and your people! You owe him that!

Vermin: [Transforming] I owe him nothing!

[Barring his sharp fangs, he leaned forward drooling on her face when a familiar white wolf appeared knocking Vermin to the side of the cave. Solomon engaged Vermin, sinking his teeth into Vermin’s throat. The yelp Vermin emitted alerted everyone, Mistress Jade, pushed her way through the form crowd around the two.]

Mistress Jade: Enough of this! Solomon! Vermin!

[A distracted vampire hardly made a sound as a silver-laced roped wrapped around his neck, dragging him to the ground. He also didn’t make a noise, when his throat was ripped out.]

Mistress Jade: [Screaming stop]! At Once! [Snapping her fingers.]

[A bright burst of energy erupted in the middle of the two lycans, knocking them both back stunned. ]

Mistress Jade: Pathetic hounds! [Looking around] Wait! Where is the girl?! [Screaming] WHERE IS SHE?

[It wasn’t long before the dead vampire was found, stripped of his weapons and supplies. Jade became angry, screaming at the top of her lungs, striking and clawing anyone in her path.]

Mistress Jade: Your all useless! …RRWAAAAARRRRRRRR!!! SOLOMON, FERRIL!  Track her! FIND HER NOW!
