OK, I'll do my best to explain this to you. Hopefully you don't mind being spoiled.

First of all, please use some logic in your thinking. Vergil CAN'T be Nero's father. Why? Because Vergil would never be with a woman like that. And when he had time for making a baby anyway? After the events of DMC3 he was defeated by Mundus and turned into Nelo Angelo. In DMC1 Dante destroyed Nelo Angelo and Vergil's soul was lost somewhere. Besides, Vergil definitely wouldn't even be nearly old enough to be Nero's father.

Let's move onto DMC4. Agnus used fragments of Nelo Angelo's/Vergil's shattered soul to create new demons. Nero's Devil Bringer reacted to Yamato, repaired it and awakened Vergil's dormant soul inside of it. And yes, Nero's DT is Nelo Angelo. Vergil's soul is in his arm at least as long as he wields Yamato.

That pretty much sums it up. At least, that's all we know right now.
And in this user's opinion, Nero got his Sparda bloodline solely by this happening.

    *Sigh*
    Ok, lets put with simple:
    "a decendant of spardas blood"
    and
"you have indeed inherited Spardas blood"
    and
"although i must saulte a man who carries the blood of Sparda"

INHERITED and DECENDANT means your born with these traits, not suddenly contracted it like a disease. White hair, blue eyes and an uncanny ability to have a high amount of strength doesnt come naturally all of a sudden. The mess Nero made fighting Dante, non seem bothered like he always does, especially Kyrie. He is a decendant, but his blood isnt as strong as Dantes, also the strange quote from Berial when he visited 2,000 years ago when Sparda was still on Earth "You were just like he was..." referencing to Sparda. Neros was definatly born with Spardas blood. It may explain why Vergil (if there) choose to use Nero. However...its odd how Vergil isnt causing Nero pain or posessing him.

Re: Could Nero be the son of Virgil

NerosDevil, you are basing your thoughts way too much on facts. And facts seldom work in videogames, especially in games such as Devil May Cry.

And inheriting something doesn't mean you have to be born with it. Nero can inherit Sparda's powers some point in his life, and so he did when the Devil Bringer absorbed Yamato's powers.

I don't remember Sanctus ever saying anything about Nero being a descendant, only that he inherited Sparda's powers. Could you please send me a cutscene where Sanctus says Nero is a descendant of Sparda?

But even that wouldn't prove anything. Let me give you an example. I don't know if you have played any Castlevania games, but in Aria of Sorrow this guy named Graham inherits Dracula's powers. Yes, he was born as a completely normal human, but he INHERITS Dracula's powers. And guess what? He even gets Dracula's bloodline in the process. So I guess that's pretty much what happened with Nero. :D

Then answer me this, why does Nero not have a true Devil Trigger (like Dante's/Vergil's, Nero's is more of a Gaurdian/Protector than a DT)? How did he 'inherit' said Devil Bringer (if he is a son of Sparda in the first place?)? What happened to him after he was born that led to him ending up in the Order (especially with him being a 'demon' if you believe what you say)?

Far too many inconsistencies in that theory for my liking. As someone else has said, inherited doesn't neccessarily have to mean he was born into the Sparda bloodline. You can inherit things during life.

    A clone? A bad one...

They have similarities, but psychologically, Nero and Vergil are far too different to be clones.

Re: Could Nero be the son of Virgil

No, man, not necesarily a identical clone, maybe vergil gave a genetic sample to some mad scientist or something....dude, did y'all ever watch Star Wars? All the Storm Troopers didnt look the same when Obi Wan an' that tiffany-lamp lookin' alien were observing them in that training facility.

Or maybe Nero had a Demon relative as well. maybe one ov those evil "Luke, I am your father!" situations is gonna pop up on a seqal.
