Theyre everywhere! like Sepiroth,Vergil,Anakin/Darth Vader,Shadow,Dark Link (i guess lol),Dark Wolf (Star foxs' nemesis),Kratos 4rm God of War,etc. i mean i could go on and on. my only point is just bout everybody likes a cool bad guy,b4 theyll like a good guy. Idk y we just do. If i had 2 guess y,id say cuz were tired of weak cliche type good guys. It never hurts 2 have a good guy and a bad guy roled n2 1......like Vergil,or Anakin if u will. Look here is everything you ever need to know about bad guys: We LOVE to HATE them. Thats all there is. Also people like Vergil because he is the cool silent type. The shroud of mystery behind him is what is so appealing. Who else agrees?

Ken and Gluttony, I would like to see how you define "cool bad guy".

Because in my opinion Vergil was a good antagonist, nothing more. He didn't have a personality, he was just your average silent, serious type of character, the most overused character type ever. There was not even one bit of originality in Vergil, we have seen the same character in countless games and animes. I don't see why people think that is cool, because it's just a cliché. The only part in the entire game when Vergil's character developed a little bit was at the very end.

I dislike Nero for screwing up the original DMC storyline, but let's face it: He still has a little more depth than Vergil as a character.

Im not arguing against Vergil being a good character in DMC3, and other installments, but being a bad guy is more stereotyped than Nero. Nero seems to have more depth and more potential, instead of bringing back an antagonist who did even have a persona of his own barely and the average sword and 'cool' looks. It irratates me how fanboys want Nero dead beyond what i like; i love Nero second best to Dante, and killing him off would make me quit the series, because a bunch of whining fan boys want him to dissapear when he has more going for him than Vergil ever did.

Pppshhh Z u got this one wrong. The MOST overused type of character is Nero's type! "I GOTTA SAVE THE DAMSEL IN DISTRESS" bullshit. That is more overused than Vergils. Thats been used ALL THE WAY BACK 2 the Super MARIO DAYZ!!! Its old and it blows. I mean it wuz cool when we were all like 5 or sumthn but nowadays people like the silent good/bad guy! Its n and the good guy damsel in distress cliche is out. And yea i dislike Nero for the same reason u do...he did screw up the storyline BIGTIME!!! But he doesnt have more depth than Vergil as a character....y? well frankly bcuz NOBODY knows *** about him other than he loves Kyrie. And he has yamato and a blue arm,and a devil trigger resembling Nelo Angelo. On the other hand Vergil....i think we know ALOT more bout him than Nero...4 starters....WE KNOW WHO HIS PARENTS ARE!!!!! thats sumthin we dont know bout Nero...we know that hes a power hungry phsyco..and he'll do nething 2 become the most powerful being ever. We know he hates humans. But we know deep down inside there is some good in him. He does have feelings...he just doesnt show it. And most people on this site like the fact that he doesnt show ALOT of weakness (emotions). Dont ask me y? they just do. I could name you god knows how many more games with bad guys like Vergil than love stories on a scale in DMC.

Oh wow, he must have more depth because its blatently obviously that Dante and Vergil are twins, he MUST have more depth oh dear; especially when we dont know much about the parents are what relationship he had...wow thats alota information to make Vergil better mm hmm. Oh and how many games and comics has Vergil been in? Um 3 games (if you count 4) and appeared 3 times in the official manga. How many games has Nero been in? 1. Nero has more going and hinting at him than being a cold/unemotional cliche bad person who doesnt give a heck, which id rather NOT have.

Thats not really much of an excuse to say that Vergil has as much love as Dante or Vergil, the fact that what hes done shows enough his disreguard for humans and the sake of mankind. Being emotionless is a dumb man thing, even Dante doesnt bottle it up, and he cried over Trish, he didnt even love her either, nevermind if he did. I cannot stand characters with no emotion, and then the tiniest bit is used to go on.

Well, its people like you who judge a person from 1 game and would rather have a womanizing or cold person than someone who isnt the typical "mushy kiss kiss hug" type. Nero was far from it, he seemed like Dante more than anything, and Dante acted the same around Trish when she came onto him by getting nervous, if you watch Neros movements then he is. Dont ever call it a fact either, its called OPINION, and your opinion isnt fact.

Yeah, in a special video at the end of the 3rd u get 2 c Vergil square off 2 Mundus, but the 1st says he was defeated. And later defeated AGAIN inn the 1st by Dante. And the 4th is afterwards, coz Trish is there, so how could Vergil be in his arm??? Didn't he die??? (gawd, Vergil dies ALOT...) I'm confusing myself... I'll let u guys think of it 4 me lol.

"Decendant" look it up in the dictionary. It means your "born" from a certain past relative and have their blood. Otherwise they wouldnt have said "decendant" at all. Capcom are dumb but i doubt they'd mix up words and say what they didnt mean.

I definitely think that Nero COULD be the son of Vergil. We don't know how old Dante or Vergil are. They are half-demon, they have bigger life spans than regular humans. How do we KNOW that they were in their 20's? Sparda was sealed in the demon realm(I think) a long long time ago. And even if he wasn't, he sealed the demonic gate 2,000 years before the events of DMC. If, as some of you say, that he became human after sealing the gate he would have to have been 1,080 years plus in human years for Dante and Vergil to be in their 20's in DMC 3.
