Two characters from my original novel and soon-to-be manga, Cherry Moon.  The title is a work in progress because I feel a little insecure with it. :/  It does have meaning, but eh~  I think it might change, who knows?  Anyway, this would be Cherry and Nemiyo in their bad habits.  What bad habits?  Nobody's been able to figure it out, so I might as well tell; Cherry's smoking, Nemiyo's torturing. Okay?  Good.
Btw, I know his legs look funny.  They're simply not long enough, so just use your imagination and pretend they're longer.  I noticed it after inking -- like I normally do.  Spleh.  The main way you can tell is their height's in comparison; Cherry is barely pushing five feet, while Namiyo reaches 6' 3".  He's definitely not tall enough, whether the legs look funny or not~

Cherry and Nemiyo once more~ This one happens to my favourite accident. xD  My pride and joy.  It's an accident because I was trying to draw the "Bad Habits" one, but it turned out this way instead. =]  I'm very pleased.  And no, they aren't shagging. -.-;  It really pissed me off...do you not see the clothage?  Gawd.  Also, I'm sick of a certain someone having problems with Cherry's face~ Gawd forbid I'd give an anime character a big blippin' head!  And thanks, nice attack on my style.  And I always say I'm my biggest critic; bull.  Anyway...I think it's one of my best, so...yea.

Blue really likes this one~  He thinks this one's my best! xD  The shading seems to impress people.  My art teacher once told me I was a shading junkii.  Hahaha.  Implying that I was good at it, not that I do it a lot.  I can sort of take pride in that. xD  Even if, sometimes, I do not agree. x]  I think I could've used better colours to set the mood more. :/

I'm a Death Note obsessour ~ deal with it.  And thus, a random character in my hoody standing with Matt.  Because he didn't get nearly enough air time in both the anime and manga and it upsets me.  He's awesome man.  I just loved the three boys. xD  Even though L reigns as my favourite, always.
I can't do backgrounds, and this is proof.  I must improve somehow. o3o;  I'm particularly fond of the writing. x]  Like most are as well.

This is what happens when gym turns into a studyhall, and I have a crappy as pencil. :P  Seriously, I wouldn't even post this if it weren't the magick of photoshop.  There's smudge marks and pencils scars that no eraser I own will get rid of. -.-;  Needless to say, I chucked the pieace of ***.
Aaaaand, yez~ That is indeed hide-sama!  My favourite jrocker of all time. ^^  I dunno what possessed me to draw it, all I know is it could've been better -- despite the pencil -- if some random girl hadn't come over and started watching me. o.o;  If I knew the person, it wouldn't have made a difference, but...she was strange...and hyper.  I was scared.


Okay, I promise that's the last of it for now. xD  Maybe one more later today if I get to drawing and I feel like scanning.  I do have a nifty Devil May Cry idea. x]  And if I play my cards right, I could make the colouring kickass.  Also keep watch for the coloured versions of these -- though it definitely won't be today.

will consist of the very brief part one to a jrock fanfiction of mine; A Band Story.  I began to write it quite a while ago, but by far has been the one everyone wants me to go and finish. =]  I, myself, am particularly fond of it.  The mood makes me chuckle like an idiot. Hahaha.

A BAND STORY

PART ONE: Stick it Up Your Nose

She was in her cute samurai tank with metal rings in the collar, fluffy pink and black kitty jacket and pinstripe school girl mini skirt with net tights, black leggings to just above the knees and heavy platform shoes. The fans were escorted into the room where she and her four bandmembers sat patiently on couches. They clutched their ears when they squeeled.

There were three fans; two girls and guy. She would've much preferred them all to be guys because of the rabid fangirl-ish-ness of most of the female population. They taller girl with impossibly red hair squeeled again when their drummer, Psyeoran, greeted them. Nephele wanted to kill her.

"Oh my god! Oh my god! It's you!" the shorter girl with hot pink hair squeeled.

The guy they were with was taking all the noise just about as well as the band was. After the second minute of "Ohmygod,it'syou,Ican'tbelieveitwe'reyourbiggestfans!", Nephele was done.

"Hai hai, who the hell did you think it was?! I think we established the fact that it's us when we put a giant sign up outside with our names on it!" she snarled in annoyance. The guy almost pissed his pants in fits of laughter.

Naith, the 1st guitarist, leaped off his couch and over Nephele's to wrap an arm around her neck and noogie her, "Oooohh! Don't mind this one! She's just cranky because she hasn't has anything to drink since yesterday! You know how her dehydration problems get! Ehehehe...heh..."

They were more than satisfied, much to Nephele's dismay. And to think, they had to endure the rest of the day with them. The guy she had no complaints about - yet - but the girls she'd probably end up murdering. Or trying to. If she could get through her bandmates first. That was very unlikely. So, Nephele grabbed her bag and followed them out. They'd chosen a ramen stand to go eat at.

That guy seemed awefully familiar...

an interesting fan character, and good color selection. the pose is bland, but it's just a character/hair concept.

I like this picture too (I could guess the smoking was a bad habit btw) however, when you colored the girl's outfit black, you
 lost a lot of detail, and it doesn't look like you tried as hard as you really did.

there not banging, but they did when the pic was so small.  It's a shame you didn't spend more time on the guitars and other accesories, because they make everything look "cheapened". especialy with your eye for detail, I know you can do beter (you gave the man a guitar, and the girl has a bass, I can tell because of the number of spokes, guitars have 6, bass's have 4



I agree with everything you said about this one. it's shaded very well, and the colors are too gothic me thinks. I'd use "happier" colors for this one, yellows, browns, anything but purple and black. and...why would you wanna draw on someone? I can understand the face but...oh never mind...

Awesome. This is my favorite (of the colored ones anyway) you probubly should have used colors more like these for your last piece.

this one is also nice. it has a very movie poster feel.

Brrreeeeeaaaaakkk <3 Haha, thankies for all of the critique. :D I answer so late becuase I was collecting all of my thoughts and stuff. So, here it goes;

Really, nobody could understand why I called it "Bad Habits". On Deviantart I had to explain it. >.>

Though, the problem with me when it come to my work is that I'm a perfectionist. I like things looking smooth, soft and pleasing to the eye, but due to being over ciritcal of myself -- or so people say I am -- anything I do seems to come out gritty and messy. The "Bad Habits" picture seems better to me coloured because it got rid of a lot of the messiness.

Funny that you should point out that you can tell what the instruments are~ That aside, I'm not good at drawing instruments and I did use a reference for the guitar. I kept it simple with most of it because of the above paragraphs' explaination; I didn't want it to look messy.

And I know what you mean about the eyes...I didn't discover the blur technique in PS until recently >.>; *is shot*

And just to be a jerk; Lies! A bass can have 5 strings sometimes. :D *points to the band Girugamesh* Hehehehe~


My problem with the bedroom one is how bright the colours came out. Bright colours are my thing, but that wasn't the mood I was going for. I was going for a filtered, darker favour. Like a warmer sepia, almost...but with colour. o.O; I really don't think I said that right...

So, yea. I believe I covered everything needing coverage.  I really really appreciate the critique~  Honestly.  I know I need it and I can't seem to find it anywhere. >.<  I'll keep making them for sure. :D  I still have to make my first manga!  Wheeeeeee~  Hahaha.





And just a small update for today seeing as all I've done recently is colour an old drawing I posted a long time ago.  Some of you who knew me then may remember the sketch;




And then a pathetic poem I wrote monday.  These next three or four months may produce a lot of this.  Excuse me if you don't like this sort of thing.

but I'm just a lost cause to all.

yes, a bass can have 5 strings, but as an aspiring guitarist, I was referring to a traditional bass. besides, there's only 2 prongs in sight, I can't see the other side, so distinguishing a 4 string from a 5 string is impossible on that model. however, there are also 12 string guitars, but there used for playing rhythm only. for not burning me on that, I'll laugh at you...

Goddess of Time
Exactly as the title implies. xD;  It's inspired somewhat from the God of Time statue you find in the Devil May Cry games. =]  I always really liked it and ended up having to take photos of the gameplay to actually get a picture of it to reference for when I draw it as practice.  I was amazed when I couldn't find it on the net. o.o
This was actually going to be something else, and I'm still playing with the concept in my mind.  I'm not really pleased with how this came out ~ I enjoy it mostly for that tattoo on her arm. :/


Best of Enemies
Friends or foes?  Sometimes you can never really tell between them. xD  Cherry is annoyed by his very presence at times, and Nemiyo is just obnoxious.  Lmfao.  They're so fun to drawl. :D  In fact, that third half-done picture will feature them x]
