Kikizo: Let's talk more about the Devil Bringer arm. My understanding is that Nero was not born like this, so can you tell us how this happened to him?

 Kobayashi: At first, Nero thought that he had injured his arm, that an infection had spread or something, so he had it bandaged up and kept it hidden all the time! But at some point, he realised that he actually had power against the devil, so he started using it but nobody knew about it for a while, but he is now using it at an advanced level obviously. One thing I can say to you is that the first person that realises what's going on with Nero is Dante.

Anyway. I dont have a problem with Vergil, but why the hell is he so popular!!? I mean, not much is known about the guy, maybe a little more than Nero, but still and even then thats been through comics and games. I really dont want Vergil to have some rediculous plot and go back into Dantes past, but go forward....*sigh* but well whatever. Capcom are Japanese, and they love the traditional Japanese style which is what Vergil is with the Katana and simular traits of honour etc I only ever play DMC for its story and never gameplay despite it being fun.

the whole katana/dark guy theme makes for a very cool person, but it is somewhat overused...

Regardless, for some people, DMC 3 was there first game, so vergil appeared cooler than Dante. after all, this was "brat" Dante, not "cool 1- liner" Dante.

despite what you said, the games aren't purchased for there interesting and deep plots, the story is just an excuse to see some scantly clad girls, and beat the crap out of some demons, and DMC does that very well. as a result, we do get a lot of plot twists that don't make sence...

Hm, i still dont think Vergil is cooler than Dante or any reason to be liked more than Nero purely because of cool factor, i think Nero is cooler to be honest in my opinion, plus he wouldnt come back in his human form in that way anyway after he got corruped by Mundus. As much as i found DMC3 Dante hilarious, i love the whole sarcastic attitude especially in DMC4 and 1. Yes, i usually always play for the story despite doing all modes, if people just wanted gameplay then im sure Capcom would make a game called "demon slaying" and add some revealing girls and say "go nuts" with some rock; they didnt have to do the story at all. I love the DMC story more than anything, even though it doesnt revealing much...but hey.

I wonder who's gonna use Yamato if Vergil ever manages to disconnect from Nero. Giving up Yamato would result in Nero losing his DT ability

im a big vergil fan, but if he ever did come back i would NOT want him to get his physical body back... it doesnt make any sense. If he came back at all it should be through possessing Nero temporarily

So Nelo Angelo was actually holding the same human form underneath that he had in DMC3? Um no. His physical body got corrupted by Mundus and joining the demon realm as a high rank; no demon or transformation into a demon stays as a human in the demon realm, Sanctus being a good example. It would be a rediculous plot to just suddenly have Vergil back spick and span like in DMC3 like nothing happened.
I think Vergil is cool, but i certainly dont like him more than Dante or Nero, because there is nothing to like. His personality is boring, and wow, his hair is swept back and has blue clothes and a katana. Well he must automatically be cooler. *sarcasm*.
Capcom will never destory Nero or have him die. They worked too hard on Nero to just shove in aside and they seem to love Nero. Vergil shouldnt come back as a main character or anything like that, just because hes "cool". It wouldnt work in the storyline.
However i can see Vergil posessing Nero or something happening to Nero through Vergil from having Yamato.

Vergils body got destroyed in DMC1, and it wasnt the body he had in DMC3 either. Kobayashi said he "dissapeared" he never said hes alive or dead, leaving it open to any possibilities and Kobayashi could be lying and just making us run around in circles when he actually could be, putting us off the plot altogether, the only way Vergil will have survived is through his soul or manifesting into Yamato. But Kobayashi never mentioned he was "alive".

Stop pulling words out of no where. It says no where on that site that hes "still alive", all it says is "what happened after is never explained".

I dont "hate" Vergil. I just think there would have to be a silly storyline where he returned to his former self, and just because theres popular demand of Vergil for no particular reason which could screw the series over; no one even knows that much about him even to have a reason for liking.

Have you not learned anything from what happens when companies listen to fans? Take Shadow from the Sonic games. Ignore the quality issues in the Sonic games because they don't matter in this example. Shadow only mattered and was refreshing in Sonic Adventure 2. Moronic fanboys whined they brought him back and tarnished his image and it's pretty damn obvious that Sega doesn't know what to do wih the character except that if he's there morons who get off to him will buy the game.

Another example is Rufus from Final Fantasy 7. He was blown up by Weapon. You can tell the only reason he was kept alive for Advent Children is because of the fanboys. His final stand is now worthless since it wasn't final anymore.

 Frankly I don't want it to happen since fanboys should never be listened to; and let Capcom naturally progress with the story with Nero. Vergil is obviously going to come back once again, but as a main character would be rediculous just because fans like for no reason apart from looking cool.

no im pretty sure you just dont like Vergil, which is fine. Not everybody is going to like the same characters. I agree with you that they SHOULD NOT bring back vergil's physical body, but i would be pissed if they didnt atleast A.) Explain what exactly happened to vergil. how did Mundus take control of vergil? What happened to him after he was defeated by dante? and B.) Explain nero's arm. Its obvious that it's Vergil Spirit, its just a matter of how the *** that happened.

 Thats what i think most fans want. Atleast thats what i want.
