I think Jenson Ackles (the dude on the right) is perfect for Dante.  He's from this show called Supernatural, which also deals with demons and which is a really good show.  He's got the koolness the the style for the part.

I'll say what I said before. If I don't know what time the movie takes place in, I can't say anything. If it's DMC2 Dante, I'd probably say Christian Bale.(check out the picture in the topic "characters")

Supernatural is on the WB. WB casts thier shows like magazine fashion shoots: pretty people, baad actual, you know...show.

At the risk of repeating myself I WISH people would STOP saying Christian Bale. Just because he was a good dark brooding Batman does not mean he would be believable as the snarky, incredibly confident and slightly "annoying" Dante.

The actor who gets Dante should love the game. And he should look into what makes Dante interesting (there is actually a duce of a tragic story behind DMC, and Dante definately carries those scars) and be able to work with that. And it would be nice if he did his own stunts.

I know this may sound funny, but can you imagine Owen Wilson playing Dante? The voice may be off, but in looks they sort of match in way, i dunno, tell me your thoughts on this. Oh and also a person dosent need too really love the game, just be a really good actor.

In a word? No. His eyes are too small and his lips are too large. Plus he's too in-demand right no. For 50-mill video game movies for him.

The DMC2 commercial was only part Live-action. There's a fully live action DMC3 commercial that I like a lot. http://gameads.gamepressure.com/tv_game_commercial.asp?ID=2244 Yay for moves from the game! Stinger, wall-hike, kick-the-camera it's all here. Lots of the fun I had watching AC came from recognizing the Limit Breaks: ("Dolphin Kick Dolphin Kick! OMNISLASH! OMFG! *dies*). IF there is a DMC movie I hope to see a Helm Breaker and a little Rainstorm.

A lot more waif-esque then one would think, but he would have experience with the character which is more then just about any other actor could say. Oh, and no Heath Leger. Keep the gay cowboy jokes away from DMC. He's an a-lister anyway.
