Here is something what I think Capcom should do: Kill the goddamn Nero and release Vergil's soul from his arm to get the story back on track.

Hey, i'm all for killing nero if it leads to vergil coming back in a physical form and whatnot but capcom didn't just create nero to kill him. Like really, capcom may be dumb, make huge plot holes in the games they make, and totally piss me off but if they wanted to bring vergil back, don't ya think they would have done that already? And if nero's only purpose was to be killed so vergil's soul could be released don't u think they wouldn't have created nero and/or made him the main character? MAIN CHARACTER! they are not going to kill him so easily. first  they will probably squeeze whatever they can out of him AND then only will they kill nero. and besides, in the next game they will probably bring vergil back due to the complaints of the fans, but probably won't kill nero due to the complaints that will come from his fans if they kill him

I have to admit, the conflict between the Sons of Sparda was the best storyline that happened in the DmC series. I don't want to see Capcom over use the same formula over and over again, though. One of them has to win in the very end, there is really no need to make it an endless conflict. It gets repetitive very soon.

Yeah, they shouldn't. I think that instead of them fighting each other they should rejoin and fight something even worse.... I still believe that Vergil's soul is in hell, and in DMC2, Dante went to retrieve him for some reason unbeknownst to me.

And don't kill of Nero, cos that'll piss a lot of people off!

Most people in this topic seem to spell it right, but it still annoys me to see Vergil spelt with an "i". It can be spelt both ways, though in the DMC series, it's Vergil.

I have far too many theories on Nero's origins, and Vergil's 'death'...the likes of which would create an epic wall of text and make for many tl;dr's. It's also late, perhaps I'll drop by tomorow and restrict myself to a few of my more basic ideas, to "get the ball rolling" as it were.

I Hope Vergil Does Make an other apperance bt at 1 point some1 has to win and i verymuch doubt its going to be vergil so hes going to di and if he ever does coe bak it would be good to see them ight with something were they both need to go in a team agenst himlike some1 brings bk sparda and uses him for evil and ante and vergil had to team up to stop him now tht would rock

vergil didn't die remember hte other battles with nelo Angelo? they were all similar, in the first one when he say the amulet he went into a frenzy for a lack of a better word, and flew away in a ball of light, the last battle with he rose in the air and he disapeared into that ball of light. so he just escaped

Yeah right...seems to me the same way...that this arm of Nero is just the begining of this takeover.......give it some time....and we´ll see Vergil in his full beauty back........OR...Vergil will free himself from Nero.....and so Nero will get rid of his arm.......

And by the way......like I said before....Vergils gonna be in DMC5 probably..lol.. just heard it somewhere.....aint sure about that......but when I consider all this pressure......that Fans of Vergil are makin...think that capcom will hear em out....

Havent played DMC2 so I dont know much about it......but if Dante went to demon world so that he could save Vergil.....he did that because He loves him like a brother.......there is some kinda bound betwen Dante an Vergil.....you could saw it in the end of DMC3.....

Nothing like that. Not even close. Dante went to Hell in DMC2 through a hellgate to fight the demon that Arius summoned, and although he defeated him, the portal closed leaving him trapped in Hell. If I remember correctly then he rides his motorcycle and says '' Yeah let's go all the way to hell'' or something lke that and vanishes riding in the underworld. But after the credits it shows Lucia waiting sad in Dante's store when a sound of motorcycle is heard from outside.

Where the hell is Trish? Where is Lady? I hope they died so it makes sense. 3 chicks are too many even for Dante. He doesn't look in a good mood in DMC2 anyway.

I'd like to see Vergil back too. DMC3 had the most interesting story of them all. But it would be repetititive to see them fight each other again. If they could make a story that could fit Dante Vergil and Nero that would be brilliant. But I doubt that it would work. Chances are that Vergil won't return.. As for Sparda, there's not even half a chance..

Probably the stories will take place on some islands with hell gates and demons around, and the citizens will turn to Dante as usual or to Nero (that will be new) for help.

Guys... Vergil is dead. But his soul may be in Yamato. Thats what I think. The reason it was broken was because he died in DMC then it came back together. That whole thing about power was because he(Vergil) wanted power and thats what he senses in Nero. The way I see it, Vergil will come back only if he takes over Nero's body.

i totally feel cheated.but i happen to know for a fact that Virgil was supposed to be in DMC4(honest 2 god). i read about it in GAMEINFORMER,and they're like totally right all the time.but anyway, all the theories about Virgil being dead's a total LOAD.if virgil was dead there would have been some sort of explanatory cutscene,or at least a flashback mission.Virgil is to much of an omportant character ,in the DMC series,to be cast out like last weeks garbage.And i also know that Nero has absolutly NO.story based connection with Dante or Virgil.but i dont know about Trish having a connection-that might actually work.        (by the way-5 years worth of work went in to DMC4 NOT 3)
