I have a hard time deciding between DMC1 and 4.

I liked Dante in the first game, because he definitely had the most emotional and striking pieces of dialogue even though the storyline was not the best. The most memorable parts of the game were the scene with Trish after the last Nightmare battle and the ending where Dante and Trish defeat Mundus together.

"Don't come any closer you devil! You may look like my mother, but you are nowhere close to her. You have no soul. You have the face, but you'll never have her fire!"

*shivers* That was quite something. ^_^ 

But in DMC4 Dante was most certainly the greatest bad ass ever. His oneliners were hilarious. In DMC3 he was often an annoying kid, but in DMC4 I enjoyed every line of his dialogue and had a good laugh listening to them.

So you agree? I love this scene. It is so deep and full of meaning. This may be my favorite DMC moment.

I think there eas way too much contrst between DMC1 and 3. It goes from really cockey and then its all too mellowed out

guys i just want to say some thing you know how all the games are in a different order for instance dmc3 then dmc1 then dmc4 then finnaly dmc2 i think why dante is so silent and and evil looking is because all the events that happened from the other games and probably got pissed about all he went through so he let go of his emotions so they wouldnt get in his way dmc2 was the first video game i ever played on ps2 and i like dantes dt

For me it's between DMC 3 and DMC 4. I liked his style and attitude in 3 but they hit the nail on the head with how he's like in 4, he's just a great personality.

i dont know i would have to say devil may cry 1 dante was the best liked the 1 liners and he acted kool unlike 2 i just didnt like 2 i liked the coustume and the devil trigger bt still the dt in devil may cry 1 still tops 2 devil may cry 3 he was kinda young and didnt act himself he was a bit more quite i didnt like it i must say dante from the 1st game waseasily the best

I'd say the first dante because he was the origional that i'd come to love.

"I hope for your sake you got somethin' besides that big body of yours."

I even liked the infamous "Fill your dark soul with Liiiiiiiiiiiiight!!!!"

though i thought the funniest was "When devil may cry's a rockin' don't come a knockin' baby yeah!!!" cause it reminded me of austin powers.

for those of you who don't know what i'm talking about, play the first one and hone your skills cause that line only exists in dmd mode.

I say DMC 1 Dante because it seems to be a bit of an in between point he's mature, cool, calm and caring and still deliver bad ass one liners  which I preferred to the Dante in DMC2 which seemed to  have seen a lot and had many experiences which pretty much put him at the end of the road for me, which means he's probably not going to change much after that plus I also liked the DMC1 costume.

all dantes r great.n they dont hav so many differences.each maches to his age n experience.but i really liked the dante from the nocturne game.he had the dmc2 outfit n the coin but he was like in dmc4.
