Ah, so thats what you did. Using the Devil Bringer most of the time during the fight looks very cheap, though. Theres got to be another way to defeat him other than relying on the Devil Bringer all the time.

If I'm really impatient, then the Exceed sword moves and Charge Shots are my best bet for inflicting heavy damage on Dante. I just need to have the Instant Rev ability and Charge Shot Level 3, I would also customize the button configuration and have R2 as the shoot button so I could charge my shots freely.

But let's forget about Nero. I know you get to fight Dante at the top floor of the Bloody Palace, and you get to choose which character to play as in Bloody Palace Mode. This guarantees a Dante vs Dante showdown, and the player will be really put to the test without the help of the Devil Bringer.
