I have checked the blogs, and people, I am not a disiplinarian (Axtuse pwns me) but no cursing at anyone while I'm here, please.

And ten year olds who play DMC...ya know, DMC is rated Mature. Can't say I approve people who are ten playing mature-rated games as a rule... but to each his own I guess.

    Re: Devil May Cry Fanfilm

Ok, few questions to answer but I'll do my best to remember them.  I'm at work at the moment so not got too much time to update this, but keep the questions coming, its good to know there is support out there for a project like this.

Right,  I'm almost certain I'm going to get Vergil's coat custom made to fit me.  Its going to be the easiest way of doing things.  Plus the idea of a Vergil stand alone movie was very appealing, but I know there's a lot of love for Dante out there and to be fair, he is the main character.  Also, I'm really proud of the story and script I've written and I'd love to see it made.

I dont currently have a timescale for the film, but I'd really like to start principle photography in summer over here to give us more time in the evenings.  Of course as soon as I can get some cast photo's and maybe a little footage, I'll have a website set up where there will be frequent updates.

I'm not quite where that swearing is... oops, >.<. But yes, swearing on or insulting other members are against the rules of SoS, and is one of the rules that's supposed to be strictly enforced to my knowledge.

So listen to Dreamweaver here, do not participate in cursing on anyone please, people who continually break this rule will have be dealt with.

Well, I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of blood in my film, so its def gonna have a 'mature rating'.  Although saying that, reading the script as it is now, there are no swear words in it at all.

You can swear (although certain words are automatically cencered here), just not at other members of the site. If you wanna say somthing like, "Devil May Cry is damn awesome" or "DMC is the ***", then that's fine, just as long as you don't direct it at another member.

Hehe, I'm not fooled: the english have a brand of profanity all thier own. Must be a great sourse of national pride.

We can't wait to see how it turns out. Post cast pictures, production notes, and anything else when they happen.

Pah, how dare you! I challenge you to a duel!....  na, only kiddin.

You're right though, I swear like a trooper most of the time but for some reason it hasn't made its way into the script! lol  As for the updates, yes of course I'll keep you all updated and get some pics as soon as possible.  Still dont have all the cast yet, so pics are gonna be as and when! lol I'm hoping to have a website dedicated to the film up and running by early May time. Until then I'll try and post as much as I can on here and on my myspace profile.http://www.myspace.com/jamezh and on my myspace blog http://blog.myspace.com/jamezh

Hey...you look like Vergil! Can't wait to see pics of you in costume.

Good luck finding those other two cast members, man, I hope you can find a Dante and Lady. You're right, Dante has to be perfect... it says some props are already almost done.

    Re: Devil May Cry Fanfilm

I always preferred Vergil to Dante from the minute I saw him in DMC3.  So I knew straight away I wanted to play his part.  Everyone said I'd be able to pull him off nicely so I thought, why the hell not.  I trained as an actor anyway, never really tried scriptwriting, directing etc before, so that'll be fun.  I reckon once I have the whote hair, it'll be kinda freaky seeing Vergil in the mirror each morning lol

    Re: Devil May Cry Fanfilm

I maintain that people who perfer Vergil to Dante have no sense of humor, but Vergil IS awesome in that game. Dan Southworth is the MAN.

Some DMC voice-actor trivia: Dan played the Quantum Ranger Eric in Power Rangers Time Force. Also, he and Reuben Langdon ("Dante") worked together as stunt extras on some of Colin Farrel's "New World" movie (pictures posted on my R.L fansite! =D): Dan was a native american, and Reuben was a colonist, and they spent the movie's later fight scenes duking it out in the backround and having DMC3 deja vu. Those two have worked together for years, which is how they pulled off the "dueling brother" angst so well.

Playing DMC3 as Vergil is doubly awesome: he's a very different beast then his rough-and-tumble brother. Dante jumps right into the thick of things and wails on anything in reach, Vergil's style is faster and more mobile, requiring different techniques. Special Edition is godly.

Do you have a good film editor? can you tell us anything about the locations where you will be shooting? What about music?

Since this is a fanfilm, I doubt we have to worry about you completely remaking DMC cannon, and thank goodness for that...

    Re: Devil May Cry Fanfilm

lol, try and remember this is a fanfilm mate, we gotta do a lot of different jobs all ourselves so I'll probably end up editing some, while someone else does another bit etc etc.  I've got Adobe after effects and Premiere so I'm sure it wont be too bad in terms of editing and looks. Well, seeing as I live in England, we have a load of ruins and castles etc, so I'm hoping to utilise them as much as possible.  If you really want a taster, I was playing with some lightning effects and a 'scene smash' effect too. Wont be in the final film, but gives you an idea of the effects we'll be using.

    Re: Devil May Cry Fanfilm

Oh yeah, england DOES have real castles...dude, couldn't ask for a better setting for a gothic demon story...

Since you have a makeup artist, are you going to be able to go devil trigger? Is the story going to be set in England? (I think Dante's supposed to be "american" though that's no america I know)... cuz that could be an interesting plot: Dante called to a demon-exterminating mission "accross the pond"...
