Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

Ray Silvermyth stood on the circular stage and looked out at all the rows of dark red chairs in the distance. Dim lights showed the walkways so that the inhabitance could find there way to the seats, and watch the spectacle, or in this case, Ray, on stage. He had done this many times before, but today he was going to ask people to risk there lives to a cause. But that wasn’t why sweat was developing on his palms, after all, that’s what you do at an academy like this. You learn how to effectively risk your life to save others. But this time, he was going to ask them to risk their lives for himself.

                * FLASH *

Several bright lights turned on, lighting up the stage in the theater’s darkness. “How’s that Ray? Too much?” It was Gail. His deep, cocky voice was unmistakable. As was his orange hair, as well as his jet-black overalls that just seemed to absorb all the light that touched them. “Yes, I’m sure a blind man could see me now.” Gail chuckled at the statement and patted his friend’s tuxedo on the back. “Don’t worry about the speech ray. If they aren’t willing to risk there lives for this, then we’re poor teachers.” “But Gail, I don’t feel like I’m asking them to simply risk their lives, I feel ‘give’ fit’s better in this instance. ” “Are you guys done? Can I get everyone up and in here?” this other voice coming from off stage was Akasuki.

She was the newest addition to the lieutenants’ ranks, and Ray was starting to wonder if he had perhaps made a mistake by giving her a promotion. Her battle prowness was what had gotten her the position, but she seemed kind of… unruly at times. In fact, she looks just the way she acts. Her head is a cluster of many different ponytails, almost as if she couldn’t choose which one she liked most. She has a long fuzzy one that is in the normal ponytail position. On either side of that one, she has two shorter ones that have straighter hair. Finally she had one coming off the front of her scalp that hangs just above her left eye. She also has “Jack Sparrow” style dreadlocks hanging around her ears. If her hair isn’t suddle enough, she also wears a red and white, Japanese style kimmoto. Of course she does practice samurai style sword fighting, so that’s probably the only part of her look that actually made sense.

Also, Akasuki is rather well endowed, which seems to start a lot of jokes when she’s in the same room with Gail. Or maybe it has more to do with the fact that they’ve just never got along?

“Hey! You got up! Or did you need help? I mean being so top heavy and all…”

“Can it farmer! Don’t you have to go tend your crops or something?”

“I don’t need this before my speech… Akasuki, go wake up everyone, I don’t need any more time.”

The samurai nodded and stomped off, obviously annoyed.

“Farmer? Oh I get it! I’m wearing overalls and I fight with scythes! Haha! I’d never made that connection on my own!”

Ray turned his head to look at Gail. “Can you please tell me why you detest her so much? You disability to get along is becoming a nuisance.” “Waaaaaaaaaat?” Gail said, still playing around. “If she can’t handle a little heckling, than she shouldn’t be a lieutenant.” “You don’t joke like that with Isk, tell me what bothers you so much about her.” “If you have to ask, you won’t understand…”

“Of course I can, she is a bit of an odd duck…”

“Then you know why I don’t like her?”

“Your better than that Gail, quit acting like an 100 year old!”

    “Psh, fine…”

“Don’t psh fine me young man!”

“Ok! I get it! Quit treating me like a child.”

“But you are my child, each and every one of you…”

“…You’d better get back stage Ray, I can hear Akasuki’s wake up call from here.”

“Very well, we should be ready.”

Akasuki was stomping her way down the hall where everyone’s sleeping quarters where. It was about an hour before usual wake up time, but she had no intention of letting everyone sleep that extra hour with Ray ready to give his speech. Actually, she was rather annoyed this morning after her brief quarrel with Gail, and being the lowest on the totem pole, all she could do to vent her anger was perhaps wake up these poor fellows early. Akasuki wasn’t going to be the only one to have a bad day.

Kicking the door open to her first pair of unlucky victims, she screamed, “Get up ladies! It’s time to head down to the theater!” of course she was yelling at 2 grown men, whom where startled by the door swing open so suddenly, and could only really make out was “Ladies” and  “theater!” due to there sleepiness, but that was really all they needed to know anyway. The phrase was repeated several times as Akasuki continued to kick in the doors and yell at the two girls or 2 guys that remained inside, occasionally putting a twist on it by changing “ladies” to “maggots” and even “fat a$$es” on a rare occasion. Finally, she kicked open a door, only to find it was empty. “Did they perhaps get up already?” looking in the room adjacent to it, she saw a full band, guitarist, bassist, drummer, and singer. “Would you like some help waking up everyone else?” “Hell yea!”  Akasuki replied and strapped on a drum. Now armed with a band, a drum, and a whistle, she could wake everyone up in record time! Blaring out obnoxious music, she continued to march down the hall, allowing the commotion to do the rest.

The restless crowd began to take shape, filling the seats like an hourglass, it’s sand pouring into the bottom and finally stopping once each grain of sand has found a place to rest. Before everyone was seated, Akasuki darted threw the crowd. She needed to be on stage when Ray made his grand appearance. Those that where seated where awake enough where they’d start conversing about everyday things, but a few where just staring blankly at the stage, waiting to see what all the commotion was about. Then, suddenly, everyone was silent. They could hear the click of shoes on the marble stage, Ray’s shoes o be exact. The vampire smiled and brushed back his short blond hair as he made his way to the center of the stage, where Gail and Akasuki where, for once, not verbally attacking each other. Finally, Ray had made his way to the center of the stage, where a mic was waiting for him.

“Greetings Silvermyth, did you sleep well?” Nobody answered, which caused Ray to become more nervous as he removed the mic from it’s stand. However, from a distance he still appeared as calm as he usually is. “I have a few announcements to make, the first one being the promotion of one of our own, Akasuki, so give her a round of applause.” There was another silence, and who can blame them for her rude behavior this morning? But then suddenly a robot stood up and started clapping madly. Rather than sounding like a normal clap, the androids cast iron hands slammed together creating an annoying ringing noise. He also nodded happily as he swayed his head to see who else was clapping with him, and of course, he was alone. “Killrock!” someone beside him shouted and pulled his robotic companion back into his seat. “…I guess you have a friend after all!” The vampire joked, causing the crowd to chuckle. This shifted Ray’s uneasiness over to Akasuki, who blushed and bowed her head to avoid the crowd’s gaze.

“For those of you that are new here, welcome. I’m sure you’ll make many friends and learn many trades with your stay here. We teach people of all kinds how to defend, as well as attack, the demon menace that threatens the destruction of all worlds. By training with us you are doing more than protecting yourselves, more than protecting your country, your protecting all that’s innocent and right in the world, regardless of origin.”

“Seeing as we have so many new members today, there’s a story I’d like to tell. It takes place over 2500 years ago, in the dwelling place of all demons, hell. Now demons are a greedy bunch, so they divide themselves into small clans. Most demons have a hard time harboring more than 12 members. Things are different now of course, but there’s a reason for that…”

“…One unnamed group of demons decided to take over, they needed to overthrow their demonic king, and in order to do this, they had to create a weapon of mass destruction. They put their minds together and created the most diabolical contraption ever created, Lex Divina. Its design was such that it would convert people to work for them, and if that didn’t work, it would kill them. This contraption had a mind of it’s own. It didn’t want to convert, killing was more fun. It even killed it’s creators and moved on to kill everyone else. When it was done in this world it would move onto others to satisfy it’s ‘hunger’…”

“The last remaining demons realized the only way they could beat it would be to work together and out smart it. After some planning, Lex Divina chased the demons across a bridge, however, it would never make it to the other side. The demons destroyed the bridge, dropping the foul abomination to it’s death below. There it was disassembled, it’s heart known as the Black Calamity was smashed into 27 pieces. Knowing they could never fully abolish the heart, they constructed 3 super demons with it’s pieces.”

With that, the samurai walked over to Ray and snatched the mic out of his hands. “…And that’s why we have a bi-annual celebration! After all that’s the only time Ray ever tells this story is when it’s going to begin, so anyway, we’ll start the day with…” The rest of Akasuki’s sentence was cut off by Ray’s roar of laughter. “Oh no, That’s not why I told that story today, today I’m offering everyone a chance to slay those 3 very demons, the brothers of the black calamity.” Ray grabbed the mic back. “Those that participate on this dangerous mission will have there points quadrupled, that means you don’t need to be a long time member to get access to our special training facilities. Keep in mind only high-ranking members get access to such facilities. On top of that, these guys are multi-million bounties, you’ll never have to work a day of your life if you take down the brothers.” Akasuki and Gail stared at Ray like he had 3 heads.

    “That’s not why we fight!”

    “Are you crazy!?”

    “They’ll get themselves killed!”

“Then I’ll send you two with them.” Ray replied.

“Wha? You’re sending us together?” Gail said, ecstatic.

“It will be a good bonding experience.”

“I think they deserve to know exactly what they’re getting into…” Akasuki pointed out.

“All there power put together almost killed every last demon, if that’s not an example of power, I don’t know what is.”

“I mean statistics, ‘Sigh’ ok, pull out the projector!”

Someone pushed out a projector with a case of slides. Gail rushed over and slid one of the slides into it, which projected an image behind the vampire. It looked like a puff of black smoke. “This is the weakest brother, he goes by the name Vega. He can control peoples minds if they inhale him.” The projector flipped again, showing a blurred image of some very big man with 4 arms. “This is the second brother, he goes by the name Storm Crow. He controls electricity, and has these hooks with chains attached to them. He can throw them very far, and control them while there in the air. He can also control storms, and has the highest intellect out of all the brothers.” “He’s also a canable! If he kills you he’ll eat you too!” Akasuki added. “Oh and each of them where created with one piece of the Black calamity, the last brother was made of 25!” Gail rolled away the projector, they didn’t have a picture of this one. “Anyway, Divagro looks kinda like Storm Crow…but oh my god, he’s like… 30 stories high!” to emphasize this great height, Gail put his hand over his head. “He’s got all kinds of strange weapons, an axe, a pick, a sword, and a flail, and a cannon on his chest five meters wide!” Ray stepped forward. “So, where any of you scared by all that? If not, remain seated, and I will brief you further. Those of you that aren’t interested can leave now and continue your day.”

You’d think he asked everyone to leave, but in actuality it would appear no one was interested in something so dangerous. Ray placed his face in his hand as he waited for everyone to clear out. “…Happy now?” He grumbled at his subordinates.

    *Clang clang clang *

It would appear the theater wasn’t empty after all. That stupid automaton was clapping again, and it looked like there where some people beside him. “Tell me, who is that?” Ray said pointing out the robot. “Oh that’s Killrock, he transferred here after a BIG investigation at his home world, I guess you could say he’s like a bounty hunter slash investigator. He has no magic capabilities, he’s just a sturdy android.” Gail concluded.

“Ah, and it looks like D is here too! Knew he wouldn’t let me down! He was a common thief before I took him here and whipped him into shape! He’s a quick li’l stinker!” Gail gave a thumbs up and winked.

“…And him?” Ray said pointing at a red haired gentlemen. “ That’s Might. He’s a demon that joined us recently.” Akasuki replied. “A DEMON!? I don’t recall authorizing this!” “Relax ray, he’s been banished.” The samurai patted Ray on the back “He’s not like those other ones. He’s been here for 2 months and nothing’s happened yet.” “Hmmm, ok, I suppose I judge too harshly sometimes…as long as he’s not a full demon he’s ok…”

“…I am glad to see Victor’s here. I’d be ashamed if an assassin of his caliber didn’t step up to a challenge like this. Half-vampires have always amused me, I’d turn into dust if I was exposed to sunlight without this suppression belt…”

“Who’s the young one in the front?” “That would be Mars, she uh… has an interesting method of fighting, and appears to be part cat.” Gail squinted his eyes. “She’s also escaped from a mad house, and she’s shown some difficulty adjusting, but hasn’t really caused any harm to anyone.” “No, of course not…”

“Tobias! I’m glad to see a veteran like you decided to stick around, you continue to amaze me. I’m sure your magic will help in this. I’m sure the new recruits will miss you.” The vampire winked playfully.

“Hey, who’s that mysterious guy sitting by himself?” The Samurai questioned. “ That guy? I dunno, he doesn’t look like anyone on the guild’s files.” “Well, if that’s the case, it can only be Epsilon of the Selphchers.” Gail and Akasuki turned their heads to look at the vampire. “You know that guy?” “Of course, very bright fellow, deception and wit are his arias of expertise, you don’t see them like him everyday...”

“Hold on, we have one more! Looks like Kiyo.” Gail pointed at the “human”. “He looks like he could be stronger than I am… but looks can be deceiving!” the demi-human chuckled. “Naw, I’m just kiddin’ glad your all with us!”

“Well, I won’t lie, I expected a lot more people…” Ray walked over to the edge of the stage. “ I have a lot of cancellations to make, and a lot of replanning to do. We’ll have to be smarter about this, seeing as we’ll have less man power.” Ray put the mic back on the stand. “I’ll have to make sure your all capable first of course, but I’ll fill you in on that later. Until then, continue your training.” Ray then walked off stage with his subordinates following closely behind.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

Killrocks clapping slowly stopped. his beaming yellow eyes some what dulled as he sat down. "Bunch of lousy... meat bags..." the Hucast was quite upset. why didnt anyone stand with him, and clap?. The woman was only playing music in the morning.  Killrock however looked past the point, he didnt sleep, thus. this behavior she had did not Disrupt his sleep. the beams of his eyes shifted left and right to check who happend to stay. It didnt matter any way. he was confedent he would have the Demon bagged before lunch time.

Killrock Raised his hand, and stood up, waveing it around and then cranked the volume of his voice up to a louder tone so Ray could hear his question. "Ray!. I think im in need of a new Roomie!... Late in the night he climbed out the window while I was performing my Combat-Simulation-Training-program, when I went to check on him he was asleep a few Story's down!... come to think of it, I dont think he got to the meeting today" he looked behind him, and than turned back to the stage.

"Ah, a Strange little Meat bag" he finaly Achnoledged Mars. "Greatings Kitty I am Killrock, Hucast 66136, And happy to be an Oren". he pointed to the orange crest in his chest wich aparently was supose to mean somthing.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

Kiyo sat quietly throughout Ray's speech, listening intently until the guildmaster and his subordinates took their leave. Then a young, catlike girl suddenly ran up to the podium and snatched the microphone, shyly introducing herself to the few others who remained in the theater. Kiyo slowly rose to his feet and stretched out his sleepy, yet powerfully built muscles.

"I'm Kiyo, pleased to meet you. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be taking my leave...." he said in a loud, deep, yet oppressively apathetic voice. And with that, he turned towards the nearest aisle and calmly strode out of the theater. Once he got outside, the ornate, ruby-red ring on his right ring finger began to emit a faint glow.

"Why don't you stay and talk with the others?"  murmured the voice of Kintoki, the spirit of Kiyo's mighty ancestor who now resides within Kiyo's ring, Crimson Soul.

"Kintoki-sensei, quite frankly, I'd rather be a loner than have stones thrown at me." Kiyo quietly replied to his ring.

"These people are different from the ones of your past. Give them a chance."

"I'll think about it. But training comes first. I need a good warm-up to shake the sleepiness outta me...."

Deciding to follow Kiyo's lead Might bows and says "It was nice meeting you Mars but i've got to go later." and with that he leaves.

Once he's outside he starts thinking, I should've volunteered to join that mission since not all of the people here trust my sincerity, but how can i blame them I'm part demon afterall and i can still hear my inner-demon calling out to me but I won't give in!

"Maybe there's some smaller missions that i can take I need to find one of the higher ups and get a mission soon." Says Might looking for anyone who might be able to tell him where the higher ups are.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

"The Black Calamity, eh? This ought to be an interesting little party..." Victor rose from his seat, adjusting his robe and removing his shades before casting a glance around the hall at the other occupants. The rest of the students had left, clearly uninterested in throwing their lives away in combat against the brothers of the Black Calamity.

The one that caught Vic's interest was Storm Crow. His combat prowess was the stuff of legend and he had made corpses of every opponent sent before him. He would definitely be a challenge to defeat, but there was a very handsome bounty on his head; one Victor planned to collect. He was one of the most lethal combatants in the whole Guild. No way was he passing this up.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

    *TINGLE CLANG TINGLE CLANG*

The clinking noises of D´s keychain resounded throughout the silence of his quarters as he swayed it from side to side with his right hand in front of his face. He was laying down on bed with his eyes fixed on the pending keys, yet his mind was drifting somewhere else...

     ~Earlier That Morning~

-"Get your fat ass over to the theater, NOW!"-

Such words reached D´s ears as he rose slowly and sat on the mattress´s surface rubbing his forehead, the bedsheets still covering the lower half of his body. He stared at the alarm clock set on his night table and scratched his head.

-"Oh...right. Today´s lamer´s speech, I remember Gail telling me about this..."- he thought to himself with a slightly annoyed expression on his face.
D always slept or laid down on bed (sometimes he didn´t sleep, but pretended to) with the clothes he was going to use the next day, which were always the same as he had a closet filled with sets of exatcly the same white shirts, worn out pants, underwear, and white snickers.
Finally bringing himself to stand, he merely slid his bare feet into his white snickers and walked away into the bathroom without even bothering to tie his shoelaces. Once there, he brushed his teeth lazily as he stared back at his spaced out eyes in the mirror. After that, he just put on some deodorant and was off to the theater, knowing that any attempt to try and comb his hair was futile.

-"It´s so noisy and crowded here. How bothersome..."- D thought to himself once again as he walked with and in between the crowd to grab a seat and listen to whatever Ray had to say. He always walked with a somewhat hunched posture, both his hands inside the pockets of his jeans while he tread with an air of carelessness, as if taking his own time to do so.
Soon, everyone was quietly in their seat, ready to listen to the headmaster.

“Greetings Silvermyth, did you sleep well?”

    Nobody answered Ray´s greeting back.

-"Hmm...he´s such a lamer."- mused D as he remained seated in an unorthodox posture, his shoes already off.
As the speech went on, D´s interest in it saw itself drastically diminished, thinking Ray´s way of speaking and acting towards them was corny to no end. Eventually, D dozed off merley out of boredom...

    ...

By the time he woke up again, he was sitting all by himself within the theater as eveyone had left already.

-"Finally..."- he muttered to himself as he slid his shoes back on and took his leave.
On his way towards the dinning room to get something to eat, he noticed something unusual. Some of the girls he came across by stared at him and either blushed, giggled, or whispered between themselves. One of them even dared approach him shyly, a beautiful girl with black long raven hair and blue eyes.

-"Um, hi D..."- she greeted while D kept a spaced out gaze about him, his expression unchanging.
-"Hi."- he replied back shortly and straight to the point, still making sure as to not be impolite.
-"Heh, well, I was wondering...maybe if you...I...well...wouldn´t mind if I had lunch with you today."-

Something was wrong. Something was HORRIBLY wrong. A girl like that wanting to have lunch with someone like him?!

-"Oh, I get it. I must be still asleep back at the theater and this is only a nightmare."- he pondered before being on his way again, not caring at all to reply to her petition, which made the girl really upset.

-"I thought that maybe I´d judged you incorrectly if you were brave enough to stand up for Ray´s mission, D, but I see you still are and will always be a jerk!"- she spat at him before stomping off away with her friends, who also gave him a death glare.

-"Mission...brave?"- D thought to himself as he stood in the middle of the hallway, people walking by as they stared at him and commented about the same thing: the mission to confront and defeat the Black Calamity.

    ~Back at the Present~

D had heard stories about the brothers of the Black Calamity from Gail countless times before, and they were enough to bring a chill up his spine and turn him pale. But he couldn´t back down now, what would Gail think if he did? Would that be a way to repay Gail for all his kindness and generosity?

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

Killrock had a high respect for Ray. but when he saw the Guild master turn his back on Killrock his eyes went dull. "ooooooo, you.....dasterdly..." he turned around. "Supose I should brush up on my skills!" the Robotics of Killrock quietly hummed and tuned as he jogged past a few peple. Nodding to the girls and makeing sure his seemingly errorles Steel body shined twords them as if to catch there attention Again, Killrock did not calculate. that Human woman didnt have an intrest in him ( Actually, moast of the Female Androids hate him too!).  rushing into his Quarters he had to pick up a few things. mooving ingo a kneeling positian there was an old Tresure chest by his bed. wich looked to have no use. wich was the case. Killrock, Never slept. he was always awake. makeing noise in whatever he was doing while others tried to sleep.

"ah, there you are my little friends" there were Two floating objects, almoast Resembleing Folded Metalic wings. "Sorry, but I dont think im aloud to have you fellows around when Ray's speaking". another Metal orb floated up, one beaming red light like an eye Vibrated and buzzed. "oh no, im not takeing you out today" Disapointed. the Mag slowly lowerd itself into the bax. while the wing like Mags floated behind him. Already Killrock felt stronger. and more protected. reaching into the Box again, he held an Item out, wich desolved inm his hand. "Will that saticefy you for a while?" they hummed in agreement. "than let us go!".

now in the Training yard. wich resembled a old Jousting Areana. holding out a small rod he spun it between his fingers. 'allllllright!" tightening his grip a Photon blade ignighted out a few feet. its yellow beam constantly buzzing with a intence heat. "haha!" he spun it around himself a bit. and reached behind him to fill his off hand. grabbing what looked like an all gold Katana. "Agito" he smirked admireing the weapon. and looked upward, his eyes turned green for a moment. " Combat-Simulation-Training-program....Initialise...................Booma's......Gigabooma.....Delsabre....Enter......Select positians...Alpha, Delta. Zeda....Select...." he looked back down , his Vision showed Everything was now in a Wire frame. Minus his arms, other liveing humans and Androids. and now his fake ennemy's Haveing collected there Battle Data from Prievious battles. he knew what they would act like in what situations, and how they reacted to one another. ot any one watching out side his eyes. he would be only strikeing at air. but for Killrock. he was fighting old monsters. "Welcome back boys!" the boomas roared in Replie. there arms were lanky and formed into three large claws. some what resembleing bears that mooved on there hind legs. they mooved closer for a fight. Killrock, happily giveing them one. Strikeing down with his Photon blade, he knew the Boomas didnt defend themselves, only attacked. so he had no need for breaking there defence. a howl escaped and the fake beast sunk into the ground. the other just at his side hollared and song his arm down. the droid blocked the deadly claws with Agito, and Severd the beasts arm off with his Photon sword.

"Hahaaa, I should stop waisting my talents on the likes of you!" Just then the Mechanichs in his body was to act as if somthing struck his back exstreamly quickly. though no marks were seen, Killrocks body threw itself to the ground. "Awf!" There, behind him a Delsabre stood, sword arm at its side, as it stared threw the hole in its clawed arm, the beast had no neck. standing the same higth as killrock, at began marching falwards. lights beaming across sevral parts of its body. "You showed up faster than I thaught!" he complained before standing. looking around for the Gobooma he programed. "...Supose you probly took care of that one... Well, this seems to be a bit unfair... " he held his hand up to pause the process. "....Add monster... Claw's... lots, of claws.... Gamma, Select"

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

Tobias had remained sitting in his seat, idly flicking his index finger back and forth, a small orb of water hovering above it, changing back and forth between water and ice as his finger moved. He was already pondering which one he would go after first, when he had heard the voice coming from Kiyo's ring, and felt the magic that issued slightly from it. He listened to their small conversation, then waited for a few minutes before he got up to follow him.

<What are you thinking, Tobias?> came a voice inside of his head. It belonged to his ancester and previous life, Naol Leviathan.

<You heard that voice coming from inside of that ring.> he replied silently.

<Curious about his past, are you?>

    <Aren't you?>

Even though they were technicly the same person, Naol tended to be more like a voice of reason for Tobias. He had intended to follow Kiyo to the sparing room, but was cut off by a girl with mousy-brown hair.

    "Where ya goin, Tobias?"

"Uh...I was just going to do a little early-morning training, Maria, thats all." He replied thinking fast.

    <You forgot, didn't you?> came Naol's voice.

"I thought you had forgot!" She said, hooking her arm around his. she began to lead him down the hallway twords the training area. Instead of following Kiyo, however, she turned him into down a seperate hallway and into a different training room, where a few other people were already doing their own morning exercises. The girl unhooked her arm from his and went over to the training swords that were set aside so that people didn't run into them and hurt them selves. She grabbed the two swords (replicas of his own, still in his room) that Silvermyth had been kind enough to provide Tobias with, as well as two for herself. The swords were metal, but the edges were dulled so that it was impossible to cut people with them; bad for battle, but perfect for training and exercise in general.

<You promised to teach her a new technique today.> Tobias wasn't a teacher, but Maria looked up to him like one. She too was a wizard, and like him, had strength twords the water and ice arts. She was much younger then him however, only about two-hundred years old, but still talented. Every now and then, they would train together, with Tobias occasionally teaching her a new sword technique or spell he had learned from Naol.

As Tobias put on some padding for his arms and body to protect from brusing, he groaned as he remembered promising this to the girl. As he picked up his swords, he saw that Maria had already gotten into position, holding her swords the same way as him: one facing forward, the other facing back.

<Don't forget, you need to ice the floor to do this attack. Maybe you should wait for some of these people to leave.> Naol said, ever the worry wort. Tobias glanced at them out of the corner of his eye, and saw that they had already stopped their training and stepped off to the side. Last time he had trained with Maria, he had ended up putting a thin layer of ice over most of the room, and had accidentaly stuck several people to the ground. Silvermyth made both him and Maria clean the whole thing up without magic as a punishment, a task that took most of the day.

<They'll be fine.> Tobias replied, settling into his stance so that the two of them were mirror images of each other. <they're ready this time, so they'll be able to avoid getting stuck to the floor....maybe.> "Today, I'll start teaching you how to perform 'The Leviathan's Strike.'" he said to Maria. As they started training, Tobias continued to think about two different things at the same time.

Which of the three demons do I want to fight?

Who or what is in Kiyo's ring?

Relax. You only live twice, you know.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

Victor almost felt sorry for D as he was spat upon by a girl, who stormed off with her friends. The dhampir suppressed a laugh and looked in the direction of the poor guy.

"Looks like you sleep a little too heavily, D," he chuckled. "You could have avoided that if you'd been fully awake."

Vic himself never actually slept. He only put himself in a light meditative trance. That way, he got the rest he needed while remaining on the brink of consciousness. It was a technique he'd learned while among the ranks of the Bloodstorm Clan that allowed him to hear sounds around him and choose to shake himself awake if he thought there was a threat. If he felt no need to wake up, he could remain in his trance. Simple.

Are you ready for the changes?

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

"Thats more like it!" Killrock admired his handy work, as now Many "claws" hovered quite some ways away and were headed for him, the Delsabre readying his frontal assalt on Killrock. who took his own stance. the Claws. like the Delsabre came from a Dark world. and there alignment to each other was friendly. so they were more apt to work together. the claws. as there names imply. are floating three pronged claws with two glowing green eyes above the Center claw.

"Increase Delsabre Statistics by four!" he said before charg9ing falwards. the Delsabre now mooved four times as fast. took four times as hits. and hit four times as hard... wich Killrock over looked. all the statistics were a bit high. as he brawt his Photon blade up in a verticle slice. the delsabre slapped it aside with his claw. and performed a blistering fast three slashes. wich Killrock barely defended from. each slash pushing the android back. his legs programed to back up with the fake attackers strength. Killrock loved this program his body reacted as well as it could to the attacks he recieved. and yet there was no chance of him dieing. he only wished he had adaquit Data on the Black chalamity. but sence he didnt see them. let alone fight them. he couldent conjer them if he wanted to."Il need to slap this guy around faster!" Before he could plan out his attack. the Delsabre disarmed him form his Precious Agito. "now now!" the android panicked ducking just as a Claw jetted falwards in an attempt to attack. the Delsabre slashing it aside and un-intentinally killing it. useing the little break he slipped another longer bpole from his back. wich exstended into a sik foot pole, a blade made of Photon popping out one side. and quickly. he attached his Photon sword to the other side. "oooooook buddy I am nolonger playing games here!" Spinning the Double edged weapon around himself in a Dance. the blades hummed furiously when picking up speed. however Killrock couldent quite slash fast enoph to get the Delsabre's defence down, its clawed hand blocked once. and when he struck in a reversed direction. itt would bat the weapon aside with its sword arm.

"Heh...errr" the Claws were closing in fast. the android couldent stand humiliatioon. and wouldent tolorate louseing this match. chargin gfalwards he got the centre of the pole too close to the Delsabre, wich again. defended with its claw. "Dont you Ever stop blocking with that thing!?" he slid the pole along its claw for an un-exspected attack. the monster took the attack, stumbling side ways it still stood, the android leaping falwards. and could taist victory already. aiming for the back of the Delsabre's head. "lllllLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" his mid air stab was cut off, the Delsabre whipping around, and with an all to powerfull slash, knocked the pole arm and Killrock aside. the android lost his grip, and tumbled around a bit. "aaAAAaaaAaaAAAaa" he moand as he rolled into a sturdy wire framed wall. "....ouch" he was running out of weapons. and had to resort to one of his least favorit weapons. not because they were bad...or he was unskilled with it but...

Pulling two small bars from his hips he ignighted the two Photon daggers. wich burned a pink color... he absolutely...loathed the color pink.... and was looking falward to the day he found a replacement weapon. "onlt one way to take on the head honcho, you know what to do Mags!, do what you do best!" he flipped up at the wall of Claw's that floated closer. and instead of going for the Delsabre. that was walking at a rather fast speed twords him, he charged the weaker claws. SLashing his way threw the claws. ocasinally useing some form of fancy foot work, he kept the claws off of himself.... and whenever his photon blade struck the claws. it sparked a "dead" photon energy. wich his mags sucked out of the air. and recycled it into themselves. once they were full, Killrock had a good Idea he could defeat the Delsabre with a Photon blast.

moments later the claws were laid to waste. and it was just him and the Delsabre again. wich had chased him on his quest to slay all the meeger claws. never quite able to hit the android.  "Alright Mr. Jacked-up-lookit-my-pretty-claw-arm-wich-deflect-all-your-attacks... this is where I put your fake exsistance to an end..." Killrock knelt down and picked up his Agito. the Delsabre waited a little distance away. waiting for the androids attack. setting nthe daggers aside, killrock hunched over. just a little, situating his legs difrantly and pointing the Agito to his aponent while grabbing the wrist of his sword hand. "Its over..."

    "BEN-KAI!"

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

-"Hey, D."- greeted Afonos, D´s roomate, as he stepped into the room after lunch.
If there was a way to describe Afonos, it would be by saying he was almost everything D wasn´t. A promising young man always top of his class, both elegant and handsome. He had mediumly large brown hair, up to the level of his cheekbones, combed stylishly and always in place. Dashing brown eyes with a calm, yet affable expression upon his semblant. He was also athletic, not to the point of being buff, but just enough to be neatly proportionate, and his wardrobe was composed by a bit of everything for both informal and formal occassions, all his clothes being of top notch quality. When not doing anything else, he usually wore an expensive suit with a striped button shirt unbuttoned slightly by the neck and chest areas, along with a pair of lustered shoes.

-"I heard from Jess that you were nothing but a big dolt, D. Don´t worry though, I told her you were only afraid of cooties..."-

Afonos pronounced such words with a slight grin on his face, which brought a slightly annoyed stare about D as he replied -"And I´m the one who´s immature, right?"-

Afonos chuckled faintly -"You know I was just kidding. By the way, care to have a sparring session this evening?"-

There was a sudden silence as D ceased the swinging of his keychain and placed it back into his pocket while sitting on the bed.

    -"Sure."-

    ...

D and Afonos made their way into the training yard, where they were able to spot Killrock swinging his blade at thin air, but payed no mind to him as they went to the opposite side of the ´Jousting Arena´. Once they couldn´t be bothered by or bother anyone, Afonos, who was dressed with a black tank top, white sport pants that bore two black stripes running down on each side of both legs, and white sneakers with black patterns, began his warm up exercises. On the other hand, D merely examined their surroundings and analyzed what he could do and use to his advantage.

-"I´m surprised you accepted a match so willingly. Usually, you´d turn me down dozens of times before I annoyed the hell out of you and accepted so I could just leave you alone."- said Afonos in between his breathing and stretching.
Just then, D noticed Afonos´s fanculb gathering in the distance to witness his training session. He didn´t reply to Afonos´s remark, like he always didn´t, but this time, a different kind of thought crossed his mind.

-"If I don´t train and work hard to prepare myself, I won´t stand a chance against the Black Calamity. I should take advantage of this situation and hone my skills with a prodigy such as Afonos..."-

-"Ready?"- inquired Afonos once he was done wrapping bandages around his knuckles, hands, and wrists.

-"Uh huh..."- replied D as his pupils suddenly changed shape from circular to that of a keyhole.
At the pronunciation of ´huh´, Afonos had already rushed at D with blinding speed, appearing in front of him in, literally, less than the blink of an eye. But this last one also had, literally, a trick up his sleeve.
After D dodged his punch, Afonos was sent flying backwards by a powerful gust of wind that had been compressed to be as hard as rock, striking him right in the gut. After a couple of skilled acrobatic maneuvers, D´s roomate landed safe and sound as he then stared at D himself with a smile of excitement upon his face.

-"Better watch myself with you, otherwise I might end up at the infirmary for a week like last time."- expressed Afonos at the time he stood up and assumed a combat stance; he was grinning now.

-"That would be convenient...."- replied D with an apathetic and spaced out semblant while clutching a key on each hand. Both of his sleeves had been pulled up to reveal the tattoo of a key surrounded by archaic symbols on each forearm.
Soon after, Afonos dashed at D again, a small sphere of fire forming within his palm.

    -"Let´s go!"-
