hey people think for a moment..aren't they better off by making a digital movie like they made of FF: Advent children? In my view that would be much better and problems like who should be Dante or executing eye popping stunts could be avoided...and also this will give FF people some headache

I think this is about the sixth time this has come up.

I know AC has everyone thinking that turning video games into CG movies is the way to go, but I'm sorry, those people are wrong.

first of, AC was not an adaptation, it was a cannon continuation of a story by the same people who made the game. Also CG is a very slow, expensive process. Remember how long we were WAITING for AC after it was announced, and it was in production for at least a year before that. Pixar's CG movie "The Incredibles," was in production for over four years and went overbudget constantly.

Gaga communications owns the rights to the DMC movie and they have supposedly given it a budget of 40 million. That's not a lot in movie terms. Plus, since they have no official deals with Capcom we can forget about a duplicate of the Advant Children situation where people from the game worked on the movie.

Skip the CG, hire no-name actors, a director with a good, dark vision, and put the budget you have into monsters and atmosphere. THAT's the way to make a good DMC movie.

well i dunno if u guys have ever seen Anthony Kiedis (lead singer of red hot chili pepers) but when he had white hair the resemblence to dante is spooky, just watch the vidieo for scar tissue, spooky resemblence 0_0

Lets face it - no matter how they make the movie, CG or live, DMC fans are going to find something wrong with the movie. It's only natural. We all have an image of Dante and Vergil, along with all of game characters, in our minds that probably won't match what the director/creator has in mind. Which is why I do believe they should gather up a GOOD crowd of DMC fans, show them a preview of the movie, and ask for opinions on what should be changed before releasing it to the whole public.

Anyways, as for the roles of the characters, it is difficult to say who could play Dante but it's also difficult to argue with this:

And the DMC Live Action video was good. If you don't think Langdon can play Dante, just check that out. It might change a few minds. Granted, I was laughing my ass off and shaking my head the whole time but I do that anytime people try to be video game characters (paid or not).

As for Tom Cruise. I hate him and hope he dies a slow painful death and burns in eternal hell. Although, he can play Arkham. They have something in common - I hate them both. Besides that, Arkham dies and nothing makes me happier than watching Cruise die. ^.^

Oh, and they shouldn't have one actor play both Vergil and Dante. They both have seperate personalities and identities, therefore needing one person to play as Dante and another to play Vergil.

I agree with Opposites Alike...Though Reuban Langdon is good (Need's to gain a lil more weight there) I think he would be my first pick. I used to think Christian Bale would be good...but the chances of him doing a DMC movie is slim to none. And damn, i don't hate Tom Cruise THAT much...he wouldn't fit in the DMC world.

Langdon looks like Dante but can he act like him? it's all in the acting. It would be hard to satisfy millions of DMC fans if he fails in the acting category...i mean look what Christenesen pulled off when he acted as Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars who was no doubt one of the main characters..the guy had no experience in acting...

Langdon played Dante, voice and motion, in the game. Meaning that was basically him you were watching in DMC3. And he's a stuntman, so he can pull off all those moves.

NO! I think that it should definitely be CG,not real actors! But if they DO have real actors,then I think that guy that played the voice for Dante,and motion captured. You know,the guy it shows when you go to "Gallery" in DMC3,and choose "motion capture",or something like that...

hehe i just thought of something that wuold be funny if it was astin cucher (kelso, That 70's Show) u gotta admit that would be funny
