    Re: Who should play Dante?

I have heard that some companies can somehow"lend" their staff to other companies. In example, say Square Enix says that one, or two, of the many  development teams from FF Advent Children were to collaborate with Capcom on a Devil May Cry CGI movie. It can , and has happen in many cases in the past. I cant think of any really good examples but ,I know they have.I mean its the same as making games,Like Disney and Square,Capcom and SNK,etc.I guess what Im trying to say is that whether its games or movies, there is always some kind of "pairing" and team up or colllaboration.Besides, isnt Final Fantasy and Devil May Cry like REALLY big  in Japan.Im sure Square and Capcom could work together,if someone opt them the idea.

    Re: Who should play Dante?

You're right, Tom Cruise is not suitable to play the role of Dante, however the guy who played in the movie called "The Crow: Salvation" and I think he played Largo in that tv series "Largo" , he perfect suited the character in The Crow and looked just like Dante in DMC2. He's got the looks, the lenght everthing! Pls, can someone comment if you know who i'm talkin about!

    Re: Who should play Dante?

Square Enix and Capcom have no reason to work together. They are competators. Square would have no reason at all to loan some of thier manpower to a rival company.

Advent Children was not a video game-movie adaptation. It was an actual continuation, made by the same people who made the games. Capcom's skills lie in very different areas.

And people, Reuben Langdon is the best for Dante, 'nuff said. He's already played the character, he loves the character, he looks the part and shize can he ever move.

Look up the "Live Action DMC stunt test" if you don't believe me. Sheesh.

    Re: Who should play Dante?

Who in the Hell is this "Rueben" guy everybody is talking about. Has anyone given any thought to somebody like Criss Angel, the MINDFREAK? He, in my opinion, totally has the "goth/rockstar" look down. You know he's got charisma and showmanship being a world famous magician and television star. All he'd have to do is dye his long black hair white and BAM...instant Dante! I'm tellin' you guys a dye job and a red leather trenchcoat and you'll have to look no further for your "Dante". MINDFREAK!!!

    Re: Who should play Dante?

Please read the other comments on this thread before posting.

Reuben Langdon is the voice-actor/ stunt-man who played Dante in DMC3. He is responsible for Dante's awesome cut-scene stunts and trademark attitude.

He has a one-up on anyone else because he, alone, of all the actors in the world can claim familiarity with the character and the physical powress to portray him properly.

While the idea of casting a magician as Dante is interesting, the fact of the matter is Dante is not goth, nor is he a magician. He doesn't levatate or do card tricks. He fights. Let's get a Dante who can fight, please.
