I checked like, a thousand times and every webpage,magazine,comments,forums etc. said the same thing - it's gonna come out in 2008 (yay) so this means that the character selection HAS BEEN MADE and the movie's production is on-going (and perhaps it's already finished..lols) so there's no use actually for us to argue in this. But I'm positive its a live-action movie. It's not possible if the movie is animation tho cuz that's what happened to FFAC...hmm...

I guess they would want to make a live action movie because every other good games had one (resident evil, bloodrayne,Hitman)...It's like a trend...

Yeah...my work...the work I love talking about...Ok, so I just want some higher-up in the biz to see that I wrote that stuff so someone involved in the DMC movie will at least SEE it...

Back on topic...

One thing I noticed is that whereever I go, I try to think if someone would make a good Dante. I've seen one guy at my Church, he's kinda tall and he's got Dante-like blonde hair. He  MIGHT make a good young Dante..but who knows?

I love Jenson Ackles but he isn't tall enough. Scott Speedman would be great. While it would make more sense to have a person who is really a fan of the series, I don't think there is any actor we know of that fits that description. Just look at what happened with Tomb Raider and the X-Men. Those guys were not very familar with the series but they pulled it off. They could get a no name that looks like Dante but I would suggest playing it safe and doing a CGI movie. Something like Advent Children.

the movie biz speaks in the language of cold hard cash. Fortunately, I speak both fan-ish and cash...-ish

I don't know the guy at all, but I just thought he looks a bit like Dante...

Personally, I think his face is slightly short...But someone will be found that looks just like Dante!

Yo chiefs! Why the hell should they even think about finding a good actor?! Why don't they just do the same thing that Resident Evil (by Capcom, too) is doing---one of those crazy realistic-looking movies done by computer? That way we can still have voice actor Reuben, and Dante would still look PERFECT(!) like on the game. (And so would the rest of the characters!)

I'm sorry, but Dante is waaaay too awesome to just have some dude with acne to come on screen and play as him, especially if he doesn't know a thing about the game or the story! That could still screw things up. Lets think outside the box, dudes...!
