Ok, I was thinking about posting some short stories here but I'm not quite sure if they are good. And please don't throw stones at me if you don't like 'em XD. Ok, here comes my first one ever written in english (mistakes have been corrected by DrowningNoises ^^). Enjoy. Vengeance It was a cold winter day when Julia stood alone in the graveyard. The wind was blowing through her black hair while she looked sadly at the snow-covered grave of her parents. She still couldn't believe that her family was dead. And if that wasn't enough, everyone told her that they had died because of an accident. But she knew that it wasn't true. She saw their dead bodies. Their wounds weren't marks of an accident at all. Something has ripped them into pieces, scratched and bitten them. But the weirdest thing of all was that their bodies were bloodless, as if it was a vampire who killed them. All she was thinking about now was revenge. She did not know how but she knew that she wouldn't find rest until she had taken the life of... well, whatever it was. "Farewell mom, dad," were her last words before she turned and walked away. 13 years later The door of a small bar was kicked open. The haze of cigarettes and the stench of alcohol made it almost impossible to breathe. For a few minutes no one was talking, but looking to the entrance. A young woman stood in the doorway and was taking a look around the bar. She was tall and slender and had long, black hair. That was all you could see because she was wearing a black coat and she pulled it's hood deep down her face. Slowly she walked towards the bartender who had been the first one to welcome her. "I heard you might have some information for me?" The young woman's voice sounded very cold, almost insensible while her light-blue eyes were fixed at the bartenders face. He was looking somewhat strange. He had very pale skin, small pupils and almost white eyes, almost as if he were sick. But she knew better. Within one second she pulled out a combat knife and pressed it against his throat. "Now tell me, what do you know about the man I'm looking for?" It had gotten silent again and all looks were now completely fixed at her pressing the knife harder against the bartenders throat. He was now bleeding a bit but answered as if it was nothing to him at all. "I don't know what you are talking about." She now became impatient. "Oh, I think you know what i want to hear. I'll give you a hint. I'm searching for a vampire who has taken away the parents of a five-year-old girl 13 years ago." "So you are searching for Jack Cohen. I see. Well, if you want information, why don't you ask him yourself. He just entered." As soon as he finished his sentence she silently cut off his head. His blood was flowing down his entire body and down to the floor where his head hit the ground several seconds after. As she turned away he turned into dust. The man who entered the bar was very tall and muscular and it seemed as if his appearance was putting fear into everyone near him. The young woman took a look at him from the distance to search for his weak points. After a few minutes she decided to face him directly and so she moved towards him, although she thought it would be a waste to get rid of him, at least if he were a human being. "So, you must be Jack Cohen?" Her tone now changed from insensible to furious. She gazed at him, a wide smirk on her face, knowing he had no chance to escape, not anymore. "And who might you be, young lady?" He smiled at her, but it was a very cold smile and she was freezing for a moment. A few seconds passed while he was examining her with increasing interest. Then she replied "I am the one to put an end to your existence!" "And why is that?" He seemed to be a bit amused by the fact she wanted to kill him. He was trying real hard not to start laughing out loud. His reaction had been too much for her. She became angry and yelled "Because you killed my parents. Now die!" At the same moment she pulled out a shotgun from under her coat, pointed it on his knees and pulled the trigger. He just looked amazed, thinking she was such a fool to believe this could stop him. His knees were heavily damaged, his blood and shreds of his legs were splashing around but he still was able to stand straight as if he were unharmed. She pulled the trigger once again and this time he fell to the ground, his lower legs separated from the rest of his body and lying in a pool of blood. Realizing he never had the chance to win, he tried to crawl back to the entrance to escape, but it was too late. He cursed himself for thinking she was just an ordinary human who wouldn't be able to harm him. Suddenly she stepped on his back, grabbed his right arm, pulled it upwards and twisted it until it broke in three different places. "I'll do the same to you what you did to my parents. Enjoy!" She twisted his arm again 'til the broken ends of the bones came out of his arm. He tried not to scream out of the pain he felt. Then she pulled out her combat knife and slowly cut off his arm to hurt him even more. After that she grabbed his short, brown hair, pulled him up and smashed his head against the nearest wall. He winced while trying to escape from her grip, but she wouldn't let him go now, not 'till he was dead. "Why have you killed my parents? Was it pleasure that made you do it?" She wasn't expecting an answer and she wouldn't get one either. His movemens were getting slower with every minute and she felt like he wasn't worth the whole combat training she had gone through the last 13 years, but she could at least avenge her parents deaths. She wanted to put an end to this as soon as possible because she became bored by the fact he wasn't able to fight anymore or at least defend himself. She felt like fighting a small child so she threw him to the ground, walked towards his head, looked him deep in the eyes and said "Hasta luego!". Then she smashed his head by stomping on it. Blood and parts of his brain were splashing everywhere and just a few seconds after he turned to dust. She left the bar whisteling and with a satisfied smile on her face.
I'd prefer to be hated for what I am instead of being loved for what I'm not! Sadness is just another word for not enough pizza! Thankies DD, for this great sig ^_^ You're the best!!!

Re: DH's short stories ^^
Ok, here's another one. Correction (again) done by DrowningNoises (Thanks, Dom!!!). Hope you like it. *crosses fingers* Apocalyptical Nightmare "Mom, can you please go now? I just want to be alone, ok?" The voice of the young woman sounded sad and her mother realized she needed to get over her loss alone. "If you need anything just call me, Becca. You know I'm here and always will be whenever you need my help. Ok? See you, sweety." Then she turned and walked out of the little house. Becca walked over to the living room and slowly sat down on her couch. Her whole house seemed to be so empty since her boyfriend left her four days ago and told her he never really loved her. To stop the pain she felt deep inside her heart, she started to drink and almost lost control over it. She had even gone so far to pierce her hand with a normal butter knife while being drunk, as if that would just ease the pain of her broken heart. Becca switched on the TV to watch the news but just a few seconds afterwards the electricity had gone out. "Great, just my luck," she complained while searching for her flashlight. It took her a few seconds to find her lighter on the table. She lighted it, went over to the shelf, took the flashlight out of it and switched it on. For a short moment she was thinking something about her house had changed. It looked quite different, just as if it had been burned down. She couldn't believe it and thought her mind was playing games with her and driving her crazy. After a few minutes of silence she searched for the fusebox and remembered it being somewhere down in the basement. Slowly she opened the door and stepped out into the hall. It was dark here also and it looked as if the whole building would fall to pieces any moment. The smell of burning plastic and the heavy smoke made Becca cough and after a few seconds she couldn't see anymore. She walked along the wall and stumbled down the stairway to the basement where she finally found the fusebox. She sighed as the lights remained off. "What the hell is going on here?" Her eyes went bigger as she noticed a strange sound coming from the left. It was somehow familiar to her but at the same time frightening and as she turned to the left she saw a human hanging on the wall. His eyes were hanging down in his face and his arms and legs were missing. His intestines have been ripped out and wrapped around his neck. He groaned but it wasn't of the pain he was feeling. Becca suddenly felt ill and moved out of the basement quickly. While running through the ground-floor she noticed some other tortured human beings crawling over the floor and she thought to herself "You'd better get the hell outta here, hurry!" And so she did. Not thinking about what could wait for her outside she ran through the front door and straight against something big that looked like living tissue. The smell of old blood stole her breath and the disgusting thing in front of her spread the stench of half-rotten flesh. Becca's face went pale both of fear and the breathtaking stench. She looked down the street and finally realized this wasn't her neighborhood anymore. Wherever she looked was just smoke, dust, darkness and fire. All buildings have been destroyed partly or complete. As the thing in front of her started moving she completely lost her nerves and ran down the street to the only place she thought was safe; the church. Though she never believed in God she thought this would be the best place to hide now. As she reached the church she noticed something strange about it. It was the only building that hasn't been destroyed, but it had changed in some grotesque way. It now looked sinister and Becca felt like it had its own, vicious personality, but since it was just a building this could never be. As she entered the church she noticed a few black candles lighting the hall, but it was still dark. She had to use her flashlight to see. After taking a few steps blood was dripping down on her face and as she looked up she saw a giant bat-like demon hanging from the roof. She had to look twice to realize it had a human body, a bat's wings and the skin of some sort of reptile. It was holding its prey while looking down to her. "What the heck is this thing," Becca silently asked herself while keeping an eye on it. She didn't want to be the next victim and searched for some place to hide while still watching out for that demon, but it did not pay attention to her anymore. It continued feasting on the woman it was holding in its hands. Near the altar Becca saw a man lying on the floor. His face was heavily scratched and his chest was open. It looked like something made it burst from the inside and ripped out his intestines to eat them short after. Giant maggots were crawling all over his entire body although he died not so long ago, maybe just an hour or two before she entered the church. In his hand he still was holding his revolver with four bullets in it and Becca finally gained a sparkle of hope to get out of here alive. Even before she could reach for the revolver something was crashing to the ground. Instinctively Becca turned to see what it was and noticed the demon which was hanging from the roof just a few minutes ago now standing almost five meters away from her on the ground and throwing away its prey. She groped for the revolver while the demon approached very quickly. As she finally got the revolver and aimed at its heart it was just a few steps away. She shot twice to make sure it wouldn't survive but that did not seem to even effect the monster. She aimed again, this time at its head but she missed. Becca rolled over to the left as the demon grabbed for her throat. She did not want to experience death by the demon. Tears were running down her face as she pointed the barrel at her sleeve and pulled the trigger. The final bullet found its way through her head and into the head of the demon. Seconds after she was falling to the floor. --- Becca woke up, covered with cold sweat. "Clam down, sweety," her mother said. She was sitting next to her on the bed. "It was just a nightmare, but it's all over now. Now get up or you will be late for school." "God, I shouldn't stay up and watch horror movies late at night. Mom was right when she said I'm too young for it," she thought to herself, and got out of bed.

Re: DH's short stories ^^
Ok, I know it took me quite a while to finish it but I couldn't think of anything good. But now I finally go another story for y'all and I hope you'll like it, though this is a bit different from the other stories. Second Life Chapter One: Changes "Billy, wait for me", the voice of a young woman echoed through the school's stairway. As he wanted to turn around some arms wrapped around his chest from the back. "Somehow I knew that's you, Jill." He smiled a little as she replied "You got psychic powers?" "Sure. So, what are your plans for today?" She just answered "Guess them, oh you great master." She laughed for a short moment while thinking about how he might prove as a clairvoyant. "Ok, let me guess. Going to the disco or cinema, eating something at a restaurant or is it something completely different?" They both started laughing out loud as she said "How about spitting down a bridge on the cars below?" Even though Jill was almost 18 years old she kept her childish humor to make life at least a bit comfortable after her parents died two years ago. It has been hard for her during the first few months because she wasn't used to live alone not to mention taking care of herself, but she managed this situation and learned to handle it her way. But now she ran out of the money of her dead parents and urgently needed a job, which didn't make anything better for her. "Let's go eating some pizza" she suggested and smiled a little. She felt way happier since Billy came into her life, making her feel like she's worth living and being loved. She hoped this would never change, but she didn't know what should happen just the following day. The next morning on her way to school Jill was talking to some other girl of her class. "I found a job, finally. I'll be a waitress in a little bar in the outskirts. Was the only job I found but the payment is quite good there." "Really? Which bar is it?" the girl asked. "It's called The Hole and the name has its reasons, trust me. Never seen a cellar full of drunken Devil Hunters before. Well, at least they call themselves like that, but I doubt they ever worked before", Jill replied. "I see. And how much will you earn then?" Jill just wanted to answer but stayed silent as she was watching Billy kissing another girl. She felt her heart breaking and the more she looked at him the more it hurt. But what was coming up to her wasn't sadness. It was growing anger; because of him who cheated her and because of herself to be so stupid to have trusted him. She just wanted to slap him in the face but her classmate seemed to know what Jill intended to do and pulled her all the way to school while telling her she should make him pay in another way. In class Jill sat down silently on her chair and put her bag on the seat next to her. She tried to behave as normal as possible as Billy entered the room because she did not want him to get that she's seen him with that girl. "Hi sweety. Wanna go to the disco today?" Jill silently looked out of the window and felt her heart freezing with every fake word he spoke. He didn't seem to regret what he's done. Fine, she thought, let's play! As Billy tried to take a seat next to her she frowned at him "Did you really think you can fool me so easily without me noticing it, huh? Go play your games with someone else and leave me the hell alone. I don't want to see your stupid face around me anymore." "What's wrong? I don't know what you are talking about", Billy replied, quite surprised to see her being pissed like hell. "What about letting me remind you? Not even 15 minutes ago you've been kissing another girl and now you behave like nothing ever happened. So stop playing dumb with me. I know what's going on and if you wanna stay alive you'd better get the hell out of my sight, got that?" The surprise in his eyes grew as he noticed she really meant it. Right after coming home from school Jill decided to work on a revenge plan but most of her ideas were not good. She never wanted to see him again and as far as she knew him he wouldn't give up easily without a serious reason. She needed someone to threaten him so he would never again dare to even get in a 100 meter radius around her. But who would care so much about me? Only a relative of mine. Hmm, nobody knows about my relatives. They only know my dead parents so I could get myself a cousin or a missed brother who cares about this son of a b****. Yeah, good idea, she thought and began to create a whole new identity for herself. Jill shaved her head and searched for some clothes that don't look as feminine as her normal clothes. At around 9 P.M. her transformation was complete. "Let's see if they can handle a young Devil Hunter." It was getting silent as the door of The Hole was kicked open and broke out of the hinge. All looks were fixed to the boy who walked in and nobody really wanted to believe that this child was so strong. "How may I help you, stranger?" The bartender seemed to be angry and couldn't hide it though he tried hard to not showing it. "I just need a job. Oh, and of course I'll pay for a new door as soon as I got the money", the boy replied in a cold and frightening voice. The Devil Hunters seemed to have noticed there's something wrong with this guy though they did not know what exactly it was. It was quite obvious because no one of that age would be able to destroy a door completely by kicking it only once. Also it way surprising to see him with all that weapons: two broadswords were tied to his back, a revolver as well as a shotgun were sticking behind his belt and he had two daggers sticking in his boots. His black leather coat made him look somewhat dangerous because it was creating the illusion of him having a dark personality. It was strange but he seemed to frighten the others although he was just a boy. "Take a seat, boy, and then tell me who you are and where you got all those weapons." While he was walking over to the bartender he answered "My name's Jack Davis, and..." He couldn't even finish his sentence because the bartender suddenly yelled "Davis? Your not possibly a relative of a young girl called Jill who wanted to work here as a waitress, are you?" "That I am. She's my twin sister but I haven't seen her for ages. Is she here?" He seemed to warm up a bit. "No. She should have started work here today but she didn't show up. Maybe she changed her mind. But it is a strange fate that her twin shows up instead, isn't it?" "Maybe. By the way, gimme a beer, old man", Jack said while thinking about what may await him the next few months. The bartender seemed to be a bit pissed off by the behavior of his new guest and frowned "A beer? Why not a bottle of whiskey? Listen, little boy. If you want to be served here you need to be a bit more polite, got it?" "Yes, Sir!" were the last words that came out of his mouth before he got hit with a full bottle of beer. Jack immediately lost consciousness and fell to the floor. "Poor boy. First day here and he already gets hit by a bottle." The bartender started laughing but became silent as he noticed all the Devil Hunters were fighting each other now, just like on every evening. They don't even needed a reason for it. As Jack woke up later that night he noticed a sheet lying next to him. As he examined it he realized these were the instructions for his first mission. Then he stood up, took a look around and realized he was the only one left in the bar. "Oh, you're awake already? I thought you'd lie here until daybreak. I felt free to tell the agent he should give you a good job, after all you're pretty strong and should have no problem to handle some demons. Or am I wrong with it?" the bartender said while looking at Jack who still didn't know what to say. After a few minutes he replied "You're right about it. After almost 12 years of training I should be able to kick some demons asses, don't you think?" "How should I know what you're able to do? By the way, you still want a beer?" the bartender asked and started laughing. "Hell, yeah!" Jack said and finally a smile appeared upon his face that stayed for the rest of the night.

Re: DH's short stories ^^
Thanks so much. Ok, here's the next chapter. Enjoy ^_^ Second Life Chapter Two: Revenge The next morning Jill had a murderous headache and deeply regretted to have drunken two bottles of whiskey the night before. As she took a look at her alarm clock she almost got a nervous breakdown. "Dammit, I'm late for school!" She jumped out of the bed, ran into the bathroom, took a quick shower and dressed. Then, before she could take a step outside, she realized she had no hair anymore and decided to wear an old mullet her mother once owned. Since it looked similar to her old hairstyle she hoped no one would see the difference. Then she decided to pack another bag including the clothes she wore last night as well as the revolver and one of the daggers. Jill wanted to finish Billy off as soon as possible and she was willing to go as far as he needed to, even if that means killing him. "It's payback-time!" Jill had to stay outside the classroom until the end of the lesson for being late. As she became bored she took the dagger and scratched Billy's name on the wall since she knew he always got his pocket knife with him for doing such stuff. She hoped he has to pay for what she's done and it was fun to bring him some trouble, she must admit. When Billy came into the hall she hid the dagger behind her back and looked at him as if he was the devil himself. "What's wrong with you? You don't behave like yourself. What is it that made you go so mad at me?" Jill pressed her hand against the edge of the dagger to release the pressure but it wasn't working. Blood dripped to the floor while she replied "I already told you yesterday. Now leave me the hell alone. I won't tell you a third time." "You only told me once. I guess you've become senile, haven't you?" he returned. "No, I haven't. And I also told you yesterday to leave me alone, remember? Now go, or you'll get some serious problems", she frowned and took a quick step forward to make clear she mean it. While he went back into the classroom Jill examined her wound. She had a deep cut in her left hand and on the floor behind her was a big pool of blood that needed to be cleaned before the end of the lesson, otherwise she would get some big trouble with the principal and would probably have to leave this school. And so she went to the toilet and go as much toilet paper as she needed to get rid of the blood in the hall. Right after school Jill wanted to dress as Jack but came to another idea. Instead of introducing her second self to Billy now she decided to do it this evening when starting her first mission. As Billy passed her way she said "Wait! I need to talk to you." "Finally. You got over your paranoia?" he asked and wondered what happened. "Let's meet up this evening at 10 P.M. at the abandoned warehouse, on the roof. I don't want anyone to listen", Jill said in an almost insensible tone. "Ok, I'll see you then. But don't leave me waiting there for nothing", he returned and left. "I won't", she replied and thought Let's play! Then she went to the abandoned warehouse to get to know the area and her chances of successfully killing her target between all those empty wooden boxes. At 9.30 P.M. Jack entered the hall. He had 30 minutes to accomplish his mission and to wait on the roof for Billy. And so he silently walked through the hall, listening to every sound. As he wanted to climb up the stairs a box crashed down in front of him. Jack instinctively jumped backwards and noticed a human-like creature standing on a higher level. Blood and spittle dripped on his face as the demon jumped down to the basement and landed just a few feet behind him. As it turned Jack had a clear view on his opponent. It was around 8 foot tall, had a goat's skull covered by the hood of its coat made of blood and it had a humans body. But the most disgusting thing about it was its mouth with its razor-sharp teeth that were about 8 inches long. "Whoa! Buddy, you look bad. Never heard of something called beauty treatment? And please, for the sake of my nose, try to wear some perfume next time, ok?" Jack said and almost bursted of laughter. Even before he could react a giant scythe found its way through his chest. With his eyes wide open he looked down at his wound. But what bothered him wasn't the scythe sticking in his chest, it was the fact that he couldn't feel any pain. A wide smirk showed up on his face while he pulled the blade out of his chest. "Guess what? We have a little more time to play", he said and drew his shotgun. The demon didn't seem to be impressed and rolled aside as Jack shot. With an enormous speed it ran towards him to tackle him. Jack flew through the hall and crashed hard against a wall. As he wanted to stand up the wall was falling to pieces and buried him under it. Then the demon walked over to the mass of rubble to put an end to Jack's existence but as soon as it reached the place Jack crawled forth, grabbed for its ankle and threw it high into the air. Then he followed, drew one of his swords and sliced the demon in two pieces. As they both landed the upper half of it tried to escape. "Dude, you no longer amuse me. I thought you were stronger but you're just as easy to beat as a child. This mission was a waste of my precious time. I`ll see you in hell, buddy", Jack frowned and smashed its head with a part of the broken wall. "Great. I have still around 15 minutes left 'til I meet this pain in the ass mofo Billy. Not enough time to order a pizza." Half an hour later Billy showed up. He was looking quite surprised as he saw someone completely different than he expected. "You're late, buddy. Why took ya so long?" Billy, still being perplexed, answered "Why should you care? Who are you and where's Jill?" In an insensible tone Jack returned "Well, let's just say I'm someone who cares for both Jill's and your well-being. Jill told me to make you suffer if you ever again dare to get around her. She wants you to leave her alone." "You're a liar. She wanted to talk to me here now. Why should she call me here if not because of that?" Jack began laughing and replied "It was an ambush. She knew how to get you here and she was sure you'd come. You'd better leave her alone, otherwise you'll pay for it." Without even letting Billy reply Jack grasped his throat and lifted him easily high above his own head. Then he slowly went over to the brim and said "Your answer decides. Leave her alone or I'll let you fall and let it look like it was an accident. Choose your destiny, dude! Oh, before I forget it. I'll be watching you, buddy. Lie to me now and you'll die as soon as I get that." "I leave her alone, I swear!" Billy only could whisper and as Jack let him go he ran as fast as he could to get away from there. "Too easy, I must say", Jack said and left the place with a satisfied smile on his face. As Jack entered The Hole it was overrun with Devil Hunters. "Folks, I'm back! Where's my beer?" Throughout this whole mass of voices he recognized one that was saying "You're later than I expected, boy. Take a seat and have your beer." While walking over he replied "Mission accomplished. When do I get paid, old man?" "How often shall I tell you to be more polite? Don't call me old man. And to answer your question, you'll get paid as soon as the agent arrives, meaning after midnight", the bartender frowned. Jack just laughed and answered "Ok, ok. I go it. Thanks for the info and for the reminder. But what should I call you instead?" "Call me Ray and we'll be fine for now", he returned and put a bottle of beer on the table right in front of Jack. "Cheerio, my friend!"
I'd prefer to be hated for what I am instead of being loved for what I'm not! Sadness is just another word for not enough pizza! Thankies DD, for this great sig ^_^ You're the best!!!
