Its just a THEORY that Vergil in NOW in posession of Neros arm. Nero developed his arm before handling Yamato, and seeing as he is a decendant of Sparda, his abilities may have just awoken like Dante in DMC3 with the DT. Being a decendant of Sparda, this could have been a natural occurance, especially with pure demons blood within him. Neros trigger form only looked like that once he had Yamato and may have formed into something else once he absorbed Yamato.

Seriously, Nero did well against Dante without his Devil Bringer, he was able to easily knock down a concrete sword from the Sparda staue and have amazing acrobatic ability, especially with just Red Queen and Blue Rose. Nero obviously has Spardas blood because you dont see Credo doing something that amazing and seemed simular to Dantes ability in DMC3, plus hes only young.

It wouldn't matter he pinned dante to a statue with his own sword and that counts for something wouldn't you agree?

Re: Could Nero be the son of Virgil

You do fight with the Red Queen after the tutorial part, infact Dante was surprized at Neros ability "under-estimating" him, even though Dante didnt fight back much, plus what normal person could throw bullet in the air and reload them into the barrel and have that level of strength? Dante actually got pissed by almost going into Devil Trigger. Nero is pretty bad-ass to me.

Nowhere in the game did they say he was a descendant of Sparda. At least not to my recollection anyways. Everyone said he had "The blood of Sparda." So in this case it could be from a number of things. I think he obtained the arm itself from the corpse of Nelo Angelo. Along with Vergil's soul. And when he came in contact with Yamato he obtained the DT. So in other words, the power, DT, AND the blood came from Vergil's arm.

Very good point, Cobalt. I really like your theory.

And yes, Nero is not Sparda's descendant. He just inherited his power like Sanctus said. Nero wasn't able to go into Devil Trigger until he got Yamato. He needed it to have enough strength to save Kyrie.
