Hy, I am new here and here is what i think.

I think that Nero is a great addition to DMC, of course he won´t take Dantes place as protagonist of the series but I have to say that I was hoping for a change, like different gameplay or something like and I have to say that from what I have seen of Nero i think he is an awesome character and i welcome him to the series.

Capcom says that they added Nero in order to attract new gamers. But if the newbies are gonna like Nero more than dante what will happen with the next games? Will they still like the game without Nero or Capcom's sales are gonna fall to the bottom? Will they make him the protagonist at other games of the serie or they're gonna forget him? I think Nero is a douple card. Its a good addition for the fans but it can be destuctive for Dmc's future. We'll see.

There's no info saying that Dante will die and you know what, I give 1% chace for that. If Capcom kills Dante and continues with Nero or someone else..this will be the end of dmc. But probably Capcom knows that too. So, dont even think about it, there are no signs of Dante's death in any of the trailers. But if he dies though, I'll jump from the nearest bridge! LOL

That's the lie of somebody who knows nothing of Dmc and likes spreading rumours.A lol who should be shot. Dante IS Dmc. Without Dante there is no DMC. And we know that he won't die.1st:the serie is Dmc 3,1,4,2.  2nd:We see dante carrying Yamoto.Do u thing that he would lose it so easily? That part of the trailer is probably at the end of the game. 3rd:Dante fought and won Mundus the "Prince of Darkness".He can defeat any demon. 4th:Read my previous post. The most of the fans play DMC for Dante. In Dmc 2 Dante was not good, the sales went down. 5th:Dante has a place to a lot of other games. Do u think that Capcom would end him just like that when they have advertised him so much. and 6th:There is a dmc movie with Dante to be released.And Capcom will take a lot of money from that. I think that my children will play dmc with Dante or his son.

So many Demons so little time my bloody journey has come to an end.

From what I've seen of Nero I like him. I believe he will be a good addition to DMC but he won't replace Dante. There are simularities between the two but Nero's style seem's more power driven, but I'll tell more once I've played the game.

I'm just throwing this into the ballpark...

Maybe they're adding Nero because they CAN'T do anymore with Dante. Dante already pawned the two most powerful demons in existence. The King of Demons-Mundus and his brother-Vergil THREE times over. And if you add the book he pawned Mundus a second time. Going with with what another forum poster said earlier, the first and third game completely tower over any exploit he does in the future. He's already THE most powerful man-demon in the universe. The only way they could make this work for Dante more without it being cheesy is reviving Mundus early and there's a period of three games where there's a literal WAR between the humans and demons and Dante has to step up like his father did. Maybe even get Vergil back in somehow to help in the cause. OR play a Sparda and do the same thing. It would be interesting to see the series through Sparda's eyes and actually get to to know him and Eva. To add to new playing experience, Sparda most-likely fought like a modified version of Vergil with Yamato and Sparda and all.

Actually, I scoffed for him when I watched the TV series. The final demon... PAWNED. I wasn't even worried. Dante is TOO strong, he only gets nervous around Mundus in the human world, and he still kicked his ass. Only Vergil can hold a candle to him.

Now if for some reason Dante ended up fighting God... THAT would be interesting....

exactly. And I have also thought about a Sparda game, or series. And Dante VS. God, God would kick his sorry little devil ass

Kikizo: What are your plans for the future of the Devil May Cry series?

Kobayashi: We haven't decided yet really, but personally, I think that because we have introduced this new young character, I want him to grow in future games of the series. I think the series will stay an action game series, certainly, because this is what it is known for, and we are action fans with too few resources to experiment other types of title for Devil May Cry.

That's what I was talking about. This @#$$@$##$$^% guy is gonna ruin the game. If he is gonna do something like that I will kill him the same way Hitman killed his first target in the movie (give him to eat C4 explosives and then BOOOOMMM).

I really can't understand why some of you hate Nero so much?

He looks fun to play,stop being such pissed of cas you don't play as Dante from the start to the end of the game,why don't you people wait until DMC 4 comes out,it may turn out that Nero is actually as fun as Dante to play or even more fun,stop behaving like noobs,i understand you guys are fans of Dante cas he was the star of all 3 DMC games that came out so far but you have to realise that you have to make changes some time,Nero already has many fans out there and i bet after DMC 4 is released he will have more fans.

What are you talking about, when has kobayashi ever stated this cause I never heard about it. 

Moving on would it seem far-fetched if in DMC 2 it was Nero all along
