    Devil May Cry: Remake

Let's go back a few years. Back to Mallet Island. On PS3. What would that be like?

I have stuff to do on my spare time. I see my friends when I can, I don't spend much time with homework because I finish a lot of it at school (being extremely focused once there). I don't own any consoles so I don't really play a lot of games anymore.

I also happen to love creativity. One of my three big dreams, along with making my own music and writing books, is to become a game designer. So I've been thinking for a while and have decided to write up a FAQ/Strategy Guide of what would be a remake for the first DMC1.

I'm not asking for your opinion, so don't write "wow, sounds like a cool idea" or "lol who writes a FAQ of a game that doesn't exist roflcopter get a life".

I'm just asking what people would like to see in a remake of DMC1. I personally know what I would like to see, but I'm curious about what YOU guys and girls think. Additional weapons? Expanded areas? More story? More characters? A longer game?

I'll be sharing this document with the internets once it's fairly complete.

PS: Try not to post off-topic please =)

(yes, post was copied from GameFAQs.)

    Re: Devil May Cry: Remake

Since it would be possible now, maybe make Nelo Angelo fight a bit more specifically to how Vergil does in 3. And posssibly more weapons for Dante, Ifrit and Alastor weren't enough for a whole game. ( Yes I know you get Sparda but come on)
When you do things right people won't be sure you've done anything at all.

    Light up the darkness.

    Re: Devil May Cry: Remake

Ahh but with a remake you can do soo much more than some would think. For instance, what makes you think the remake couldn't contain three DT'able devil arms? Alastor, Ifrit and Sparda. And have a different set of combos and moves for each sword? Ohhh, let your imagination flow, DMC1 has massive potential ;)

    Re: Devil May Cry: Remake

The combos and the style-changer from DMC4. Far better graphics and a dialuge between Dante and Vergil. More bosses and puzzles. I cannot think of smt else right now as the game is awesome the way it is. Probably one or two more Devil arms would be good.

    Re: Devil May Cry: Remake

lol now i know that it's a trademark of the whole series, but maybe touch up the corny one-liners that dante always seems to have

    Re: Devil May Cry: Remake

I'd rather they remake DMC2 with DMC3 or 4-like gameplay and also they can restore Dante's old personality with some better dialogue.

    Re: Devil May Cry: Remake

Apart from the gameplay improvements and the new cutscenes, they could add a Bloody Palace Mode for DmC1. And a Heaven or Hell mode just for fun. That'll be also useful for the people who can't beat the first Secret Mission.

On a side note, I would love to see a DmC2 remake.

"Alot," isn't a word, don't merge the words "a" and "lot" together.

And the first they have to change is Dante's attitude and the dialogues of the game. They also have to add a variety of devil arms(not just the swords he had) and then it would be great.

    Re: Devil May Cry: Remake

And the costume he had. It doesn't seem HIS, y'know?

And they'd have to fashion him to what he looks like in DMC4, and revamp the Rebellion again. And E&I.

And include Trish and Lady. God knows what happened to them in between DMC 4 & DMC 2........

    We will see,
    We'll fight until eternity.
    Come with me,
    We'll stand and fight together.
    Through out strength,
    We'll make a better day.
    Tomorrow we shall
    Never surrender.......

    Re: Devil May Cry: Remake

The costume would need a change, yeah. While you can't say it's not his style (considering the original always kind of overrules any sequel due to it... well, being the first), I do think the pants are out of order. Tight leather pants seems too much "Japanese" cool whereas Dante should be more "American".

And no, Rebellion can't be in the game. The Force Edge serves as a plot element, and having too many swords in the game would be just... well, it wouldn't be good.

But personally, If they were to remake Dante's DMC 1 costume, It should be more like the DMC 2 get-up, I like that one better. Just look at my sig!

I can draw a little, yes, depending on what you want me to draw. Also, I'm only proficient with drawing using pencil and paper.

    Re: Devil May Cry: Remake

    I would rather see a DMC2 remake then 1.

But on topic maybe add more dialougue between Dante and Vergil and maybe let lady have a short appearance in the game.
