Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

"Dhampir, to be precise," Victor said nonchalantly in response to Mary's initial exclamation. The strain of Griffon's Tail was beginning to show. "All the strengths of a pure-blood and none of the weaknesses." He listened intently as she read his future and was intrigued by what he heard.

"I mean you love the shear aspect of going up against overwhelming odds and conquering overpowering foes, that is the reward for you.”

That's an understatement, the assassin chuckled inwardly, suddenly having a flashback to the sewers where he'd saved Epsilon from the wrath of the thieves.

“I see you also have a quest, you desire a title. However, it will not be obtained by defeating the one you seek."

The one I seek... Storm Crow? It was true; Victor was here specifically for Storm Crow and the glory slaying him would bring.

"There is a greater force you must oppose. And I know not the outcome, but your name will be remembered forever…”

A greater force than Storm Crow? I'm not sure a greater force exists, apart from Divagro himself... This had Vic confused. Maybe he would have to take the field against Divagro as well. Did this mean their third target would slay some of the Silvermyths arrayed against him, and it would fall to the dhampir to attempt to bring him down...?

"I'll have to meditate on this," the assassin mused under his breath as Mary moved away. First things first; the Silvermyths needed rest. To that end, Victor ascended the stairs to the bedrooms without a word.

Killrock was practicly being dragged. "Thank you, thank you, your too kind.....but...I can walk on my own" he complained looking back to see some of the Silvermyths. "eh?, Guys?" they were still around the ship?.

Wolf raised his head. "oooooooh.....hhAnG OVer" he dropped sideways, unaware of all the events that had taken place prior.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

(just to get things on the road, I’ll get us over to tomorrow)

“Please come in! you can rest in the upper floor.”

The mansion was just as Mary had described it, only there where robots everywhere of all shapes and sizes. Butlers, maids, tanks, even some little car ones no bigger than a mouse, her home was covered in robots. “There aren’t any droids upstairs… noisy ones anyway…” Akasuki and Afonos where moved to a sort of hospital wing, where the samurai could watch over him. it wasn’t far from everyone elses room.

“Uh, why are there cameras everywhere? I even see them in the bathrooms.” Gail asked the lady as he poked one. “You’re blind right?” “Of course dear, but If someone where to harm me, I’d like a better witness than my droids.”

    “I see…”

“Are you afraid I’ll watch you shower later? Just hit replay? Ha ha…”

“Nah, I don’t shower. Haven’t for a few weeks now. I need to really work hard to justify a shower.”

“…Good night Gail, I have a small task for you tomorrow, so make sure you’re all well rested.”

After everyone was asleep (or in deep meditation) Large steel walls came out of the ground all around the mansion. Also, various combat droids stood outside the house. It was as if they where expecting an attack.

                “Divagro…”

                “Yes Storm Crow?”

“I see no reason for the two of us to march into the industrial trinity together. You have all the demonic armies at your disposal, bribed with vega’s gold of course. I’d like to face down the Silvermyths myself.”

“Now, why would you wish to do that? Together we can’t be beat right?

“Apart we can’t be beat either. We’ll make better timer if I slay them while you create an outpost here. the hardest part of this won’t be slaying the Silvermyths, it will be dealing with all the other factions around here. We will be together for that.”

“Very well, you where always the thinker.”

Storm crow grinned as he looked on at the Dutchmen, stranded there in the dessert sand. “Ahh Gail, where are you now? You aren’t far I know that.” The demon marched his way over to the ship to see if anyone was home…

Might didn’t hear Gail over the radio, he was playing his flute, and didn’t catch either announcement, so he sat alone on the ship. “I do wonder where everyone is… but I’m sure we’re ok. they wouldn’t dare leave without at least notifying everyone would they?”

“What? You’re the only one here?” The great demon made his presence known as he stormed into the room. “I guess… I didn’t… hey, aren’t you that storm crow guy?” “AH-DUH!” “…” He didn’t seem to interested in might, however, he did know he was a Silvermyth, but such weaklings weren’t worth his time. “Hey, you know I’m getting paid well to kill you!” Might stood up and pulled out his sword of the same name. “…ya know, bounty’s are a gamble. You wager your life for a few coins, and you’re betting you’re the smarter, stronger combatant. It’s sad really, you’re investing in a high-risk bet for such a small reward…”

                “It’s only high risk…

                            “…If I can’t beat you!”

    WACK

Might’s blade came in contact with the beast’s armor,  it didn’t yield a single scratch. “Oh, how epic…” The room was suddenly filled with light as Storm crow sent electricity threw his opponents sword. “This will not be easy, it will be very painful…”

The next morning, everyone was invited to a scrumptious breakfast. Might wasn’t anywhere to be found, there wasn’t any blood or body on the ship. The table was filled up like it was thanks giving. all kinds of pastries breads, and tea as far as the eye could see! And of course, oil and batteries where placed further down for those without digestive tracks. The Silvermyths where all seated around the table when Mary decided to make an announcement.

“Ok, I thank you all for choosing to stay inside tonight. But I have a task to ask of some of you if you don’t mind…”

“A huge metal crate arrived at my doorstep the other day, I moved it into the basement with the aid of my robots, and we opened it. there where three men inside. The leader said he wouldn’t allow the smallest of them out unless someone beat him in a fist fight alone. His companion was holding a knife to his companions neck, so I didn’t try any thing funny. He was able to beat all of my droids I threw at him, so, maybe one of you can beat him? I’d prefer 2 of you went down there, but do as he says, because I don’t want any harm to come to the smaller fellow.”

“well…” Gail said spinning his fork. “Killrock sounds right for the job.”

“Oh no! I have plans for him!”

“…” Gail set down his fork. “…Very well… I will go with one other individual who wishes to combat this man… and they must do it bare handed?”

“that’s what he said, he’s very strong, he flipped over my 50 ton drilling bot.”

“Very well, I’d like to see some hands please, keep in mind you’ll be fighting without weapons.”

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

    **********

Back in the dorm, Natasha was busy making herself busy. She smashed a piece of square glass from her collections of pieces of broken glasses and mirrors; and grinded them on the table with a stone she kept handy. Next she took a used kite string and carefully rubbing the strings with the sharp glass dust she grinded; with the help of  thick, leather gloves.

"Killer kite string, hell yeah." she mumbled alone, letting out a small giggle of satisfaction.

Tying the string to a used black kite she had in possession, she glanced at the bow and the quiver of arrows she took just now.

"I think I have something here..." she whispered, while rummaging through her worn out backpack that somehow homes almost everything. "Thank God the academy took this bag from my room..."

Smiling, she took out a good bow string and tied it on the silver bow. Almost immediately she ran outside to the open with the newly acquired weapon and her favourite 2 feet tall teddy bear. She placed the teddy bear on the silent and open ground, ran backwards as fast as she can; giggling happily like a little girl who had found an interesting toy.

"This should do me good!" She giggled again, and takes out three silver arrow. She armed the bow with one arrow - the other two was skillfully clutched between her right ring finger and little finger - pulled the string, aiming at the teddy bear carefully.

Almost too fast for her to even bother, she fired not one - but three arrows in a blink of an eye. The first arrow went through the stuffed bear's head, and the consequent arrows went through the first arrow which was now stuck on the ground. Giggling happily, she ran childishly towards the shot arrows.

"Its been long since I play with these!" She chuckled. Hugging the bear on one arm, she took the quiver of arrows with another; and slings the bow on her shoulder. As she left, a man stood in the shadows, clapping; admiring her dexterousity.

"Meh." Natasha shrugged, but she halted her steps. "Finally a living thing here. The last time I saw people in this place is the freaking academy officials..." she walked towards the mysterious man, "...and they were gone almost immediately."

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

A hand towards the end of the table shot into the air.

    "Sounds like fun. I'm game."

Drinking from a pouch of chilled blood, Victor adjusted his shades, stood up and removed his gear piece by piece, laying it all out on the table before him in a particular pattern. He memorised the layout so he'd know if anyone had touched anything. Draining what was left in the blood pouch, he screwed up the empty container and threw it into a nearby bin before approaching Gail. "Twenty says he lasts under two minutes," the dhampir chuckled, cracking his knuckles in eager anticipation of the coming brawl.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

                The half-vampire decided to brawl…

…that didn’t surprise Gail at all.

“2 minutes? Sure, only if you get knocked out first! let’s go!” on the outside, Gail was his usual self, flipping between jokieand serious faster than someone with bipolar disorder could flip threw happy and sad. But on the inside he was still irritated. Victor’s cockiness knew no boundaries, he probably would have been just as anxious to fight him if he had turned over a 3,000,000 ton robot. No, victor would have been MORE anxious for sure. But that was merely the tip of the iceberg for Gail. If  Vega was able to so easily wipe out his other three companions, how hard would SC be? People would die, there would be blood. But Gail tried to put all that into the back of his head, he was going to watch Victor fight… win or loose, it made no difference to Gail. The very idea of victor crying like a baby made him smile, not that it would ever happen… or that the half-demon wished his comrade to be harmed… but if it did it would be very bad, because Gail probably wouldn’t be able to stop his sides from bursting open with laughter, even if Divagro was there.

“Say victor, Why do you pursue Storm Crow so? Isn’t Divagro a more powerful opponent?” Gail asked this as he pushed open the door to the basement.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

[ Storm Cow? Check the bottom of your post, Break. xD ]

Victor considered this question for a while. He himself didn't know what compelled him to hunt Storm Crow with such single-minded determination. Was it the recognition of having killed a brother of the Black Calamity, the bounty placed on Storm Crow's head - or did the dhampir just want to prove he was the better fighter...?

"I honestly don't know," the assassin finally replied as he and Gail approached the basement. "It just seems like an opportunity to prove how good I am at what I do." Before the door was opened, Vic glanced up at his companion. "On a side note - why the hell couldn't Ray take some time out to give us a hand? Does he think the administration of the guild is more important than a mission that's gonna cost a few of us our lives?"

Midori downed some of the sweet beverage that'd been poured in her pitch as she then passed her tongue through her lips to savor its remnants.

-"Oh, so now you're wagering, huh?"- she directed to Wolf with a somber tone of voice about her, probably from the hang over -"Anyway, here, I'll give you your first payment..."-

She then began to unzip her blouse...

The wolf haddent notised Midori enter, or even that she was sitting there, and he didnt have time to think about how she did get there, the wolfs ears went from perking up, to drawing back, and then flipped in-between. "What the hell are you doing?!"

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

(...storm cow was not intentional... thanks DB XD)

“Ha, he’s an odd one Ray is…” As Gail walked down the stairs with Victor, he continued to speak. “To be honest, he’s hinted that he’s afraid of Storm Crow. Storm Crow was the first official guild member ,That’s a little known fact by the way….

The whole time he was just trying to get a piece of the black calamity to summon his brothers into the world. After obtaining the combination to the guild masters safe, he got what he wanted and fled. Obviously, Ray’s wife tried to stop him, but was killed on the spot. Ray was whipped into a murderous rage, it wasn’t long before he chased him out of the guild. But I can’t understand that. If Storm crow fled ray, you’d think he was the one who would be scared right? But Storm crow was bitten by Ray, so he is part vampire. I’d say “whole” vampire, but he tore his own heart out to prevent a full transformation from occurring. He died by this obviously…

Does Ray think he can’t beat a vampire/demon, or does he think we can handle this ourselves?”

Gail asked that last question more to himself than Victor. Before them, there was an iron crate, surrounded by many robots, obviously defeated by the man Victor would soon go up against.

“Ha ha! Your going down girly!”

The head of a maid robot rolled to Victors feet as the man retracted his fist. “Eh? Who are you guys?” Gail smiled. “We are Silvermyths… as where you, Marauder.” The giant dusted off his arms. He stood seven feet tall at least, and his hands where covered in calluses from punching out the robots. His tank top was still clean, as where his jeans. The overseer adjusted his all-black-helmet and turned to look at the Silvermyths. “Well, now that you think of it, I do remember you Gail. Can’t say I remember the other little pip-squeak you got there beside you, but I’ll have fun smacking him around if you don’t mind.” “No, I don’t mind, but he’ll be smacking back.” The half demon grinned.

“Yo baby, dem humans out there?” Jam held onto smally tightly with a knife at his throat. “Nah, there freaks. But don’t worry about it.” The overseer cracked his back. “remember, no weapons, or the midget gets it!” Gail nudged Victor into the arena and then whispered in his ear. “Nothing funny Vic, but if your in trouble, I’ll bail you out.” With a pat, Gail stood back. “Ok pip-squeak, let’s get ready to rumble!” Marauder thrust his fist into the concrete floor, sending spider line cracks all along it.

“… his ego is almost as big as victors…” Gail thought.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

    ********************

The misty fog that suddenly appears all around the guild that made Natasha's view of the man who was clapping his hands. She ran towards the sillhoete of that man, but it seems like he had disappeared. She ran into the building to look for the mysterious man.

To her amazement, she found herself standing in a great hallway, paved with sparkling marble floor and majestic tapestries, with paintings Natasha knew was of great value. It made her remember this vague old mansion she saw in her dreams....

Cocking her head sideways, she walked towards a large portrait painting of a very beautiful lady. She has long, jet-black curly hair, which made her look even more paler than she already had. Nevertheless she looks rather familiar!

The lady in the painting was holding on to some sort of an ankh.

"This..." she whispered, touching the ankh's drawing slowly.

All of a sudden the drawing went into the wall with a loud clack, the floor on which Natasha stood up on turned and the next thing she knew was that she was in a scary large hall, adorned with weird paintings and stained glass windows.

"God DAMN that! Weird school! Who made this school anyways?!! I bet they are weirdos too!! GAAAHH!!" Natasha screamed like a kid throwing a tantrum. She turned around, looking for a door to get out, but there is only one door.

"I swear I'd run away from this god forsaken place right after this!"

She turned the knob rather carelessly when she realised that it was locked.

"GOD DAMN ITT!!!"she yelled. "Calm down, Natashinka. You know what to do when you're calmed down."

Sighing, she placed her teddy bear on the floor along with the bow and arrow, and took something that looks like a shard of glass out of her gown's pocket.

"Then I'll force my way in."

Drawing a large circle on the floor and rather weird shapes inside it, she chanted; and as the minute passed, her chantings sounded like the hiss of an angry snake. Soon enough she stopped. Placing her things in the middle of the circle with her, she chanted some more, and her eyes turned as black as night, gleaming and somehow evil.Pointing at the large, locked door, she hissed, and a jet-black aura shaped like a demon appeared. The demon wields a pitch-black spear - of which it threw at the door.

For a second, nothing happened. Natasha's eyes returned to normal. As quick as she can, she took her things and sprinted away from the door.

BLAM!!! A loud explosion heard. The door was turned into smithereens.

"Yippie!" She screamed in joy, admiring the explosion, but she had to close her eyes as the dusts violently dances in the air.

Victor looked around the room with a look of what could be described as amusement as he regarded the demolished droids this brute of a man had dealt with. Shaking his head and chuckling icily, the dhampir reached up and removed his hood and shades. He threw the latter to the side and straightened up into a combat stance.

"I feel sorry for you, I really do. Those piles of scrap are less than nothing compared to me..."

Without warning the assassin charged at his adversary, throwing himself into a baseball slide past the man and aiming a vicious kick behind his left knee. Vic would have a huge advantage if he could take out the guy's vertical base.

Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

The Brute was indeed not as fast as his foe was, but he was much taller, and as such, had more reach with his limbs. his punches likely had more range than victor's kicks. His hand was already waiting  for the dhampir's feet. "no one hit deals here, we're gonna play for a while sonny!" Marauder snatched up Victor's leg, and hurled him towards a pile of scrap with many sharp spikes sticking out of it.

as the dhampir glided threw the air, Gail looked at his stop watch. "ten seconds in."
