    Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

    "aw crap, I lost track of time." Says might as he stands up and grabs his stuff. "What did I miss in the meeting Raizen?" How should I know? I was too busy listening to that beautiful music that you were producing. "Cut the crap, and answer me! i know that you hate this flute." says Might holding the flute up for emphasis. Alright the meeting was about one of the brothers being located somewhere in this city. "what are the specifics on this brother?" His name is Vega, he's actually composed of gas, posseses people but in return they gain superhuman abilities, and they also are usually guarded by some type of animal. That's all that I can remember for now.

    Stepping off of the ship and starting to walk around, "Is that really ALL that you remember?" 'What do I have to gain from lying to you? If you want all of the facts then ask a guild member for them. You could use more friends anyways, i mean come on you're talking to yourself. And when you do ask a guild member try to make it a female.' replies Raizen with a laugh.

    "What was the point of that female part?" asks Might with a blush on his cheeks as he bumps into a random stranger. "Sorry." He says. "You better be sorry you little punk." Says the stranger. Getting a good look at the stranger Might says, "You know what, actually I'm not sorry." "you'll pay for this you little punk." says the stranger as he goes to punch Might.

    easily dodging the attack Might throws the stranger up against the wall of an alley and says, "Not only drunk, but stupid as well, now tell me everything that you know about the thief's guild in this city." "They've been extremely violent and active lately, and wierd changes have also happened to their leader. Please don't kill me."

    Hearing Gail's call, "i didn't plan on it." says Might before he rushes off in the direction that the call came from.

    Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

    "Kiyoshi, something happened last night when you slept..." murmured Kintoki as Kiyo ambled about the medieval town of Griffin's Tail in a quasi-tired daze.

    "Would that have something to do with the bizarre dream I had?" Kiyo replied.

    "That shrine maiden's necklace suddenly activated during your sleep. Do you recall anything from your dream?"

    "It was rather cryptic and...tiring. I was standing in some kind of barren, desolate plain. At the outer edges of that wasteland, I could see a forest of dead, burning trees. And in the center of that hellish land, I saw a withered, dying cherry tree with molten chains wrapped around it, burning into its decaying wood. I tried to move, but felt so tired I couldn't even lift a finger. Then I heard a voice, a familiar one....a girl's voice. But it was too faint and distant to understand. Before I knew it, I woke up in a cold sweat."

    "Hmmmm, bizarre indeed. Perhaps the priestess is trying to contact you. Spiritual means of communication are frequently used among mikos (Japanese for shrine maiden). Kiyoshi, I want you to wear the necklace..."

    "Sensei, I don't know about you, but I don't appreciate it when others intrude on my dreams."

    "Don't worry. I highly doubt that the girl has hostile motives. If something does happen, I can always intervene. After all, I am bound to the Crimson Soul Ring. And the ring, in turn, is bound to your body and spirit, allowing me to move freely from the ring to your body in case anything threatens to possess you or strike at your soul."

    "Fine then. If you're so concerned, then I'll give it a try." Kiyo casually reached into his pocket, retrieved the emerald pendant, and threw it around his neck before tucking it under his chestplate's collar, paying no concern to the thieves around him who suddenly saw the flash of jewelry.

    "Kiyo....the others-"

    "I know. I sense it too. A sudden increase in the stench of blood, and a spike in the flow of magic in the air." Before the shady bandits near Kiyo could do anything, he quickly broke off into sprint and made a beeline towards the castle in the center of the town. As he neared the castle, he could hear the distant sounds of battle: the clanging of metal on metal, the shouting and cursing of combatants, and the loud, sickening death rattles of people being slaughtered. "Well, looks like they've been having quite a bit of fun here." Kiyo quickly charged past the mutilated corpses of several guards and entered the castle's main courtyard. Soon enough, a welcoming party of armed thieves burst through the gate on the other side.

    "Who the hell are you?!" demanded one of the thieves.

    "The garbage man. I'm here to dispose of the trash. Namely, you." Kiyo confidently replied, with his usual air of apathy.

    "B@stard!!!" another thief armed with a crude warhammer charged straight at Kiyo and certain death. The attacker raised his arms and brought the heavy bludgeon bearing down towards Kiyo's skull, only to blink in astonishment when Kiyo's left hand suddenly caught the hammer head as though it was made of cotton. Yawning rather loudly, Kiyo effortlessly crushed the thief's weapon with his brutal strength.

    "Is that all?" Before the dumbstruck scoundrel could react, Kiyo pulled his victim in, grabbed the neck, and instantly ripped the thief's head off, spraying blood everywhere. The other thieves suddenly gasped and fell back a few steps as Kiyo, with his cloak now soaked in blood, strode towards them. "Well, as they say. Unless you are willing to drench yourself in your work beyond the capacity of the average man, you're just not cut out for success." Kiyo said as he casually threw his victim's head aside.

    "Kiyoshi, please stop playing around. We have a job to do."

    "Fine then." Kiyo swiftly dashed forward and smashed two of the ruffians aside with a bone-crunching backhand. Ducking under a poorly delivered sword slash, Kiyo punched forward with his right arm and drove his gauntleted fist through the belly of another outlaw. He then knocked down two more attackers with a wide sweeping kick before finishing them off with a series of merciless curb stomps.

    "Kiyosh-"

    "What now?!" Kiyo yelled in annoyance as he smashed through the ribs and skull of another thief with two swift jabs.

    "Your skills with your weapons will rot if you don't use them."

    "Fine, but only for a moment." Kiyo easily deflected another sword swipe with his left-hand gauntlet before drawing back his right arm. The Crimson Soul Ring on his right hand suddenly flashed a bright red light before it detonated in a blinding, fiery inferno, burning away three more bandits. After a few seconds, Kiyo shot out of the ensuing cloud of smoke with the massive Crimson Axe in his grip. The doomed ruffians raised their weapons in a futile attempt to block the impending attack. With a contemptuous scoff, Kiyo swung the mighty axe and carved through the foolish thieves who thought they could withstand the axe's molten edge. As quickly as it came, the Crimson Axe suddenly disappeared back into Kiyo's ring with a flash of light. There was one last thief who managed to avoid the slaughter by falling back and frantically crawling up the stairs that led to the castle's front doors.

    "Please, spare me! Have mercy! Please---AAAAAAAAGGGHH!!!!" The pitiful thug cried before his head was crushed under Kiyo's boot.

    "Kiyoshi, it seems that another guild member is approaching..."

    With a quick glance, Kiyo saw Might in the distance running towards the castle. "Hurry it up! We have work to do!" Without waiting, Kiyo turned, kicked the front doors open, and rushed in. It didn't take long for Kiyo to find his way as he followed a trail of heavily mutilated corpses. As he moved deeper and deeper into the castle, Kiyo noticed a steady, demonic change in his surroundings. Eventually, the castle's interior gave way to a kind of demonic architecture.

    "There they are!" shouted a distant, gruff voice. After rounding a corner, Kiyo spotted another party of thieves charging at a few familiar guild members. With a closer look, Kiyo quickly recognized one of the guild members as the Dhampir from the Silvermyth auditorium. But instead of rushing into the imminent fray, Kiyo started to calmly walk towards the attackers.

    "What are you waiting for?! Hurry up and help your comrades!"

    "They're not damsels in distress. They can handle a few lowly peons. In fact, I'll be surprised if they're still fighting by the time I reach them." Kiyo said rather loudly with his usual cold demeanor as he continued his casual stroll down the hostile hallway.

    Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

    -“Victor!? If you’re here, then that means the others...well, no matter. Thank you for helping me, I would’ve been done for if you hadn’t dealt so quickly with my attackers. But I promise you, though; next time, I won’t be caught off guard so easily. Now c‘mon, let’s get out of here and regroup with Gail!”-

    As they rushed back to the group through a series of intricate corridors, the yell of a damsel in distress reached Afonos’s ears unexpectedly as he halted his march and turned his head around.

    -“Victor, you go on ahead and help our comrades. I think the thieves might be holding prisoners within their guild. If so, I’m gonna go there and rescue them. Please, do stay alive until we get back home.”-

    Parting ways with Victor, Afonos rushed through the hideout's hallways as he advanced in the direction of the woman's scream. The trail drove him all the way to the king's quarters, where he stood quietly in front of the threshold that would take him inside into the unknown. He slowly reached for the knobs at the doors and pulled them open.

    The doors opened and revealed a few tall bandits. They were clearly superior to the ones outside, four of them in total, hulking around. But what caught Afonos's attention overall was a beautiful red haired maiden; her skin a deathly pale, like someone who’d spent a long time indoors. She must’ve been the one screaming, laying there with hardly any clothes on.

    The young Silvermyth's eyes widened momentarily as he surveyed the chamber, carefully analyzing the situation he’d barged into. From his point of view, it appeared as though the lady was in trouble. He also wanted to confirm if Vega was anywhere around by looking for any signs of a raven or any sort of black beast.

    And there was a black bird, perched on the shoulder of one of the guards. The bird turned towards Afonos and squawked, alerting everyone of his presence.

    Not taking any chances, Afonos seized the last moments for a surprise attack and rushed at one of the sentries with a powerful blazing flying kick to the face.

    *CRASH*

    The guard’s face sunk into his skull as he flew into one of the sewer’s stone walls. Only three remained now.

    "Wha...?" one of the gaurds prepared a powerful overhead strike with his sword while the one with the raven scooched in behind his allies.

    The bandit's blade came down on Afonos’s with merciless strength and blinding speed. Luckily, this last one had managed to foresee the strike in time and caught the edge of the thief's weapon in between his palms during the last instant of the attack. Afonos didn't come out unharmed, though, as a fine string of blood flowed down from a wound on his forehead and onto his face.

    -"GRAAAAH!"-

    Afonos redirected the blade to a side using all of his might just before he roundhouse kicked the guard's head on a side, following immediately after with a storm of punches that were too fast for the guard to anything about them.

    The two remaining sentries then leapt upon Afonos from behind before battering him with the hilts of their swords. They then grabbed the Silvermyth by the hair and lifted him up and off the ground. There, Afonos could see the dark raven preparing to fly directly into his head; the bird of prey's wings sharpening as its beak transformed into a sword.

    -"I can't believe I'm saying this, but you guys are starting to annoy me."- stated Afonos, reminding himself of his friend D -"Want my head on a plate?"-

    Afonos then rose both arms and took hold of each guard on either side.

    -"THEN HOW ABOUT BOTH OF YOU JOIN ME FOR DINNER?!"-

    Using his knowledge of combat and anatomy to kick a soft spot in both guard's knees, Afonos pulled harshly from their shoulders, to bring them close to one another.

    *SHWING*

    The sound of  slicing bone and sinew  rippled through the air along with a spring of blood that tainted Afonos's face red, finally connecting his counterattack strategy with a 90 degree angle kick upwards onto the raven's gut, which spun through the air and landed on its back, quivering like a dying animal would.

    "...Impressive..." Cracklin' rose muttered, but then quickly looked up at Afonos "Oh, thank you! I don't know what would’ve become of me had you not shown up!"

    In exchange for all these stunts, Afonos ended up with a gashed forehead and a dislocated left arm; his face cringing in pain, even though soon enough he reaquired a normal expression after acknowledging the woman's thanks.

    -"Are you alright?"- he inquired before extending his right hand forward towards her in order to help her up.

    "I'm fine. Actually, you came just in time."

    She grabbed Afonos's hand and allowed him to pull her up.

    "Those men... I can't believe you dispatched all of them with such ease! I didn't think anyone could beat such individuals one on one, let alone all four at once. You must be really strong."

    The woman slid her hand over his biceps as she said this, to which the young Silvermyth responded by smiling kindly at the maiden before he pulled her off of him gently in order to reallocate his arm back in place.

    -"I wouldn't go as far as saying it was easy *CLACK* augh, but I'm just glad I could  help."-

    Afonos then approached the enigmatic woman and placed one of his hands on her as he stared at her eyes solemnly.

    -"Can you find your way out of here unharmed?"-

    "I suppose I could, I mean, all I have to do is..."

    The woman stepped on the bird’s corpse and its razor sharp wings fluttered, digging into her thigs as she scrambled to remain standing, but ultimately, she found herself falling back onto Afonos’s embrace.

    "Heh..." she said with a nervous chuckle. "Would it be too troubling if you could help me out of these sewers?"

    Afonos held her gently as he kept smiling.

    -"I guess that would be alright. After all,  I just realized I'm in no condition to battle anymore anyway. I'll leave the rest of the fighting to my comrades. Besides, I don’t think any of these thugs were the true Vega, so we should escape quickly before we come face to a face with such a fiend."-

    Afonos lifted the girl with ease as he then walked towards the chamber's exit.

    Cracklin' rose smiled as they passed through the door.

    "Say, Afonos, you don't have any girlfriends do you?"

    She said this with a smile and a twinkle in her eyes.

    The young Silvermyth merely chuckled at her question.

    -"No, I don't, why do you ask?"-

    "Then..." she said pulling Afonos's head closer to hers. "You'll have no problem taking this little reward from me."

    She puckered her lips, anticipating the kiss.

    A slight blush appeared on Afonos's cheeks as his eyes widened for a moment. He suddenly noticed how enticing her beauty was, those emerald eyes of hers caressing his very soul with tenderness. He lost himself gradually to the wicked enchantress's charms, leaning slowly  into her lips with his own as a warm feeling trailed all thoughout his chest.

    It was then that the "seemingly dead" raven sprung back to life as it gazed around the room and with a shake, the bird took off to the air and landed on Afonos's shoulder.

    Suddenly, Cracklin' Rose pulled away from the kiss.

    "What happened? Why am I dressed like this?"

    Afonos smiled and replied.

    "Don't worry, you’re the queen of thieves now, but I warn you, they’re all weaklings. On the other hand, do enjoy the riches you possess while you can, because they’ll still think you’re me."

    Vega smiled as he exited the sewer with his new host.

    "Wait!" she called out. "How will I get out of here?"

    ...

    “No sense in aquanting myself with Gail and the others just yet..."

    Afonos/Vega grinned as he gazed at his comrades while they fought against the thieves. His wounds were already starting to heal due to Vega’s natural demonic properties, which were transfered to Afonos for as long as he was his host.

    "I wonder what's going on at the war gallion..."

    With a quick sprint, Vega dissappeared from the site.

    Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

    "The others are okay," Victor replied. "I just sensed there was something wrong, went looking for you and wound up getting dragged through a dimensional rift by Mister Intestines over there." The dhampir wiped the blood from his mouth and listened as Afonos asked him to go and assist the others. "Will do," the assassin responded before Afonos rushed off.

    Victor looked around, thumbing the edge of Rapture's blade. He decided it'd be best to head off in the same direction as Afonos, so he did so. Hopefully he'd find a way out among the twisting corridors. And so he did, after about five minutes of aimless wandering.

    As he emerged in the town, the dhampir breathed a deep sigh of relief. "Never thought I'd be so glad to see the sun." The faint clang of metal on metal could be heard. It seemed the battle was still raging. Victor, having remembered where the sewer entrance was, swiftly made his way back to the battle to see if Gail was okay.

    Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

                “GHAAAAA!”

                Gail cleaved threw another wave of  thieves with his scythes. He wasn’t doing this for fun. He got no satisfaction from taking the lives of humans, elves, dwarves, or even demons. He resented the very idea of killing. It only served him because he kept telling himself it was the only way to purify these bad men. Even now, there was a part of him that was very much alive that only desired to hold his love in his arms. “Do you guys just procreate in that sewer? Not a very romantic atmosphere!”

                Finally, all of the thieves split up and ran away, abandoning the castle’s sewer system in an attempt to save themselves. It was more slaughter than battle after all. The half demon was sure there where more powerful thieves elsewhere, ready to strike from the shadows like the cowards they where. But for now, He would inspect the bowls of the hideout, in hopes Vega was inside…

                Cracklin' rose was tightening her robe back up. She had no idea how it had even come off. Why would she undress in this filthy baron? Just as she finished tightening the last loop, Gail emerged into the room. “Are you Vega? Hmmm, no, you can’t be, there’s no raven…” Gail looked around the room carefully, making sure there wasn’t anyone in the room with them. “So, would you mind explaining what happened?” “I-I don’t rightly know myself.”  “Well, if you don’t mind, I’d like you to stay here and let me ask you a few questions…” Gail then pulled out a cell phone and punched in a few numbers. “D, where the hell are you? Can you come down here? Epsilon discovered the thieves guild, it’s the castle’s sewer system. Can you respond?”

    "I can!" Killrock popped up from Gail's back. than , looking around, he noticed some one was missing. "oh... she left...or...maybe I left...hmm...il ponder that one later". Turning around, there was a verry short frail looking thief tying to pry his dagger from Killrocks back, as the towering Droid walked off un aware of the thiefs failed assasination attempt.

    Forgetting the reason for intrudeing on Gail, he was sertan he had to critic him on his bland fighting style. but the reason escaped him. instead he decended deeper into the seweres, un benown to him, he was walking in circles around the maze with a thief stuk to his back.

        Akasuki was also dwelling under the sewers. She had been in another blood bath, but it was over now. "How uneventful..." The samurai was hoping that she would have gotten a better chance to prove herself in battle, she only killed enough to get her suit dirty again. But oh, what was this? a thief seemed to be floating in the air. she would have to take care of this spellcaster.

    *stab*

        The thief was history, but now akasuki's sword appeared to be floating, with her in the darkness. "AHHH! KILLROCK! WHERE ARE YOU GOING!?"

    *POWER DOWN power down power.....doooowwwwwwn* Killrocks eyes dimned out and the hulking droid fell flat on his face slinging Akasuki and her blade out of him. when she finally did get up, Killrock miraculesly powered back up, trudged over to her, and picked the swords woman up by the back of the shirt, holding her up eye too eye, disregrding that she was a supirior to him. "what was THAT for? this isnt the time to be testing my superb reflexes! dropping her, he watched her land on the ground, setting his arms down onto his mechanicle hips. Re: Silvermyth Bane: Divagro Must Die (story)

    ~~~~~~~
    -“That’s enough for today.”- spoke Midori, concluding the day’s sparring session with D, who remained kneeling down exhausted; the pupils of his eyes changing back to normal.
    -“Those eyes of yours…what is it that they can see?”- she inquired while approaching the young silvermyth with a pair of bottles of water in hand. As soon as she sat beside him, D reached desperately for a drink and answered.
    -“*Glug glug* I can see keyholes.”-
    -“Keyholes?”- she asked back, not quite grasping the concept of D’s abilities.
    -“When my eyes change, I am able to see keyholes in everything around me, which are invisible to everyone else, and with the keys I forge from the essences of elements such as fire, wind, water, earth, thunder, or even space, I am able to manipulate my environment by inserting such keys into said keyholes…”-
    Midori smiled kindly as he explained all this. It was an unusual smile, warmer than her usual ones.
    -“Why are you smiling?”- questioned D curiously.
    -“I should be the one asking you the same question.”- she replied.
    D hadn’t noticed it, but a slight smile had been drawn on his face until that moment.
    -“I hadn’t seen you smile like that since you were a child.”-
    The young silvermyth blushed at her remark.
    -“Yeah, well...I guess I have been in a better mood lately.”-
    Midori caressed his hair in a motherly way.
    -“Is that so? How come?”- she said with a loving expression.
    -“It’s probably because...”- D paused as he glanced between her and the ground –“...It’s probably because I don’t think I’m alone anymore.”-
    Midori remained silent as she kept caressing his hair.
    -“Ever since I was little, the only person I could think of as someone close to me was Gail...but since he’s always away on missions, I’m barely able to see him, if at all. Also, I don’t get along very well with my classmates either, so I’ve always thought I had only myself to rely on.”-
    The young silvermyth’s gaze aquired a tinge of nostalgia to it, and so did Midori’s eyes. But before he could say anything else, it was already time for him to assist to his next class.
    -“I must depart on an important mission soon, but I promise we’ll continue our conversation upon my return, alright, D?”-
    D nodded and merely stood up before treading off, disappointed that he couldn’t tell Midori what he wanted to tell her.
    ~~~~BACK AT THE PRESENT DAY~~~~

    *BEEP BEEP*

    D’s cellphone vibrated in his pocket, informing him of an incoming call. It was Gail.

    “D, where the hell are you? Can you come down here? Epsilon discovered the thieve’s guild, it’s the castle’s sewer system. Can you respond?”

    -“Alright, Gail. I’m on my way.”-

    Minutes later, D arrived at the bandit guild's entrance, huffing from the long run he'd taken all the way from the forest. Immediately after, he accessed the lair and began searching for Gail.

    It wasn't too hard to find him, since there was a trail of corpses and blood leading into the throne room. There, Gail knelt down on the floor beside a woman with red hair and pale skin; she looked frightened.

    "Well, D, good news bad news scenario..." Gail began without looking at his disciple. "Good news are, we found the guild. Bad news, Afonos appears to have fallen victim of Vega."

    D remained unimpressed and impassive before inquiring.

    -"Are you sure of this?"-

    The woman spoke.

    "All I remember is picking up a shard, like a crystal. It keept promising me power and wealth if I 'unlocked' it, and then I woke up here, kissing a man in my underclothing."

    She shivered and curled into a ball.

    "D, I already had a talk with her, That crystal was definetly Vega, and seeing how his Raven isn't here, she’s no longer its host. The raven can't live without being within a small distance from Vega." Gail said.

    The slacker silvermyth pondered on the situation for a while. He didn't speak or gaze at anyone before turning around and heading for the exit.

    -"Gail...call the others. Do not allow anyone to meet up with Afonos, I'll be the one to take care of this."-

    Soon after, D's Mag deactivated the stealth cloak that made it invisible and hovered towards its owner before they both left the place.

    "Did I do something bad?" spoke the woman with concern.

    Gail rolled his eyes at her.

    "This was bound to happen. Vega is the most 'irresistable' after all...”

    The half-demon flipped open his phone again and started calling the other silvermyths.

    ...

    “Afonos, you have such a wonderful body!” Vega said to himself as he walked along the dock. He felt so much power within his new body. It was far better than that maiden’s body, which was good for nothing but seducing men, and it didn’t even do a good job at that.

    “Ahh, The Lieutenant’s famed war gallion!” The perfect place to test his powers.

    He could sense two peole aboard the ship, and they would both die…

    Tobias leaned up against a wall as he grabbed his head.

    “Uh… I should have gone to sleep, I feel so tired… all I want to do is talk to Kiyo about the kings...”

    Dazed, the wizard continued to bounce along the halls of the ship, unable to find Kiyo, who was actually not in the ship at all.

    “Is this Kiyo’s room?”

    Tobias pushed his way into the room.

    “There’s Kiyo!”

    The dazed Silvermyth walked over to Mars and rolled her over, only to see her throat had been sliced open during her drunken haze.

    “Uh!”

     The squeemish Tobias vomited at the idea of his friend being killed.

    “Who did this?”

    “I did.”

    Turning towards the doorway, Tobias wipped the vomit from his lips.

    “Wh-who are you!?”

    “I am Vega!”

    “No… no! I stayed here because I didn’t want to deal with you!”

    “Well I guess that’s too bad isn’t it? Don’t worry, I’ll send you to the afterlife so that you may find your friend.”

    “NO!” Tobias shrieked as he bolted past Vega. His ear was cut off by the Raven as he darted by.

    “M-my ear!”

    Tobias continued to run as Vega floated after him.

    “Ha ha ha, you are fun to play with… come fight me wizard!”

    Afonos Created a fireball.

    “N-no!” Tobias plead, still running. “D-don’t!”

    Vega just grinned and hurled the burning projectile in Tobias’s direction. The ball exploded when it struck the silvermyth’s legs, cutting them clean off.

    “AHHH! NO!”

    As Tobias yelled, his arms flew up into the air, only to be sawed off by the dark raven at Vega’s disposal.

    The wizard continued to cry out in pain as he inched his way towards nowhere. Vega slowly approached him.

    “Why? WHYYYYYYYYYYYY!”

    Tobies broke down in despair as Vega stood over him.

    “Because cowards belong in the seventh ring of hell!”

    Afonos poured his fire magic onto Tobias, who still tried to crawl away. The wizard continued to flop around to Vega’s amusement. He stopped when the wizard’s wimpering came to an end; he was dead.

    “Well, that was amusing! Better get out of here before they come looking for me…”

    ...

    D took notice of the commotion coming from the dock area and hurried on forward, arriving at the war gallion’s station in no time.

    Vega was about to leave the ship when he saw Afonos's friend.

    "Why hello D, did all that fighting tire you out? I wouldn't recommend resting here."

    Afonos then scratched the back of his head, still smiling like D's friend normally would.

    -"Drop the act, Vega, Gail told me everything."- remarked D as he stared solemnly into his friend’s eyes, recognizing a glint that wasn't there before -" Your last host...that woman. It is possible for your vessels to go back to normal. "-

    D pulled up the sleeves of his shirt as he spoke -"So no matter what or how long it takes...I will save Afonos."-

    Afonos frowned.

    "Oh, she looked rather normal didn't she? I don't think you can make that call, however, seeing as you only saw her after I was done with her."

    Vega chuckled in a way that was very much unlike Afonos.

    "What I'd be asking myself right now, I was you, is why didn't I kill her and keep the bandits on my side?"

    With a dash, Afonos leapt off the side of the ship and landed on the dock, not ten feet from D.

    "But you never did ask questions, did you? Surfing Afonos's memory, it appears that way at least."

    By the time Vega said this, D had already pulled out a pair of keys from the tattoos on both his forearms; the pupils of his eyes changing to the shape of a keyhole.

    -"You talk too much"-

    "...and you think too little!" the demon replied with Afonos's charm. Soon after, Vega swiftly rose his arm to the sky, summoning a fissure of fire directly under D's feet.

    Quickly, the young silvermyth motioned the keys he held in mid-air, as if introducing them into imaginary keyholes. D was then proppelled forward by a powerful gust of wind, landing a few feet away from Vega before introducing another key into the earth.

    *CRACK BOOM*

    A pillar of solid rock emerged from the ground right onto Vega himself, who was then hurled into the sky. But the fiend was able to recover quickly just before he descended.

    "We should train harder and find out our power words, D. That should give us the edge against the Black Calamity."

    Vega's raven took flight towards D as Afonos landed on the ground softly on the ship.

    On his own stead, D observed the raven as he shifted keys once more.

    "Oh, you don't have to worry. I spoke to headmaster Ray about it. These clothes are made of a special fabric able to endure harsh conditions, just like the headmaster's own suit."

    As the raven closed in on D, it splitted in half and then positioned itself as if it was going to harmlesly fly past him. Also, Afonos hurled a  shower of tiny fireballs at D's location, who took evasive actions as he leapt back to avoid being hit by the blazing projectiles.

    As he did, however, one of the ravens wizzed by his back and cut into it with one of its wings. The two then merged and returned to Vega.

    "Better watch myself with you, otherwise I might end up at the infirmary for a week like last time."

    Afonos floated over the water as he rallied another wave of fireballs, which D kept evading as he ran sideways and all over the place.

    Afonos smiled as he continued to hover over the water.

    "D, there is no way your going to take this vessel from me alive, ever."

    Vega pulled out his sword.

    "You'd be better off if you stopped toying with me... you'd come to the same realization alot sooner..."

    With that, Afonos dashed towards D.

    This last one merely stood at the dock, huffing and waiting for the next assault as a slight smile appeared on his semblant.
