It makes no mention of Vergil other than Dante saying Yamato used to belong to his brother.

True. My post was misleading. I meant that by playing DMC4 and watching The History of DMC you should clearly understand that Vergil's soul is in Devil Bringer.

 Actually, what I understand is that Vergil's soul is everywhere.

The Bianco Angelo's are made from a fragment of the soul of a demon called "Dark Angel" who is...you guessed it..none other than Nelo Angelo.

An since many baddies have "Angelo" in their name, I'm guessing Agnus did research on Vergil's soul.

There is no obvious occurance pointing to Vergil being in the Devil Bringer.

In fact, the only thing we know is that Nero was with Kyrie a couple months before DMC4 took place. She was attacked by demons and the Devil Bringer awakened. First acting like an infection, then spreading to the rest of his arm. He hid it in a cast, and the events of DMC4 took place.

Berial recognized him as being "like he was" but no one knows who that "he" is just yet. Vergil didn't have an arm like that..and neither did Sparda.

However, Sanctus said Nero is a descendant of Sparda and carries his blood. Don't know how.

Nero also knew things he shouldn't have known. He knew that Sparda could love a human...no one told him this, right? Sanctus didn't know this, so its not part of the Order's teachings.

Perhaps Nero is a reincarnation of Sparda. Perhaps when NEro said "this time I will save you" to Kyrie, he was also meaning Eva. So perhaps Sparda's soul regrets not being able to save Eva, and is now more determined to save Kyrie.

He also was carrying the Sparda sword when he broke out of the Silver Giga. I instantly thought of Sparda himself in that scene.

We don't know though, nothing is certain and nothing is obvious. So please refrain from stating so.

Personally, I don't see where you guys are getting that Vergil is the one involved in the Orders experiments and creations. Maybe it is, maybe not, but I wouldn' t be assuming it is.

If you read the enemy descriptions of those with nelo in thier names, it says that Agnus took The remains of Nelo Angelo and used them to create his demons. which would also explain how they got yamato, since nelo is vergil they obviously got it when they found Nelos remains. as for how he died, I believe it was actually dante who killed him in the first game, which was after he was enslaved by Mundus.

i dont really understand why most of u guys are so obssesed with the fact that vergil is dead and also that neros arm is vergil.To me is totally absurd......i dont yet believe vergil is dead and even if he is....vergil is not that sort of person that jumps from vessel to vessl trying to get someone to inhabit or control especially not someone as human and weak as nero.Instead why did he not try to inhabit dante or some other powerful demon that he deems worthy.Like most of u have assumed"vergil is now a free soul" zooming around,,then if that is the case his mind and will should still be intact and 4rm my understanding of vergil in dmc3 he hates anything human or half breed.So the big question is why nero??

Well, in the history of DMC video, apparently it points to Vergil being dead, but you can never be sure, can you?

However, someone at IGN (I believe Project_Rebirth) said if Dante and Vergil's roles were reversed and Nero's Demonic aura was Red, and he resurrected a broken Rebellion and said "From that day forth, my arm changed. And a voice echoed "Parties...give me more crazy parties!" (or something to that effect) would we doubt it was Dante?

So we can't say he is, but we can't rule out that theory either.

If you have completed DMC4 then you unlock history of DMC which (if you watch all of it) confirms that the dark knight Dante faces in DMC1 is in fact the brain-washed soul of Virgil.He became that dark knight when he fell into Hell and was brain-washed by Mundas,he was then used as a pawn against Dante.

Guyz it hurts me 2 say this but Vergil is dead! Im a HUGE VERGIL FAN and i dont wanna believe it,but its true...at least 4 now. Hopefully they (capcom) bring him back.
