DOUBLE POST
You're right, that sucked
IT didn't jsut suck, it sucked ASS
excuse the language, but its the only way I can properly describe it
First, there's the cinematography. The camera angles are ok, but the quality just doesn't look professional to me. Its too dark at some points and its just plain bad
Audio...No audio...sucks. No voices, no sound effects, nothing. They weren't speaking another language! I could read thei rlips! So why cut out the sound? Music sucked and it felt really displaced. Intense scenes were done with not-intense music.
Story- Crap. Its like R.L. Scott is trying to add stupid stuff to DMC3. my little sister could have written a better plot.
Actors- They seemed a little hesitant, like you'd expect to see in a deleted scene. Or perhaps an unedited scene.
Action- Crap, he tried to turn it into a martial arts flick! There were no demons at all! The only good action sequence was with Dante and Lady and that was ruined by crappy music, no sound, and continuity goofs.
comparison to Canon- Dante's office was bland, Dante himself was wearing a shirt(lol) and a black jacket. the amulet was too small (but it was ok) Rebellion looked like they picked it up on Ebay. The new characters (such as the people they were fighting...ugh...and that new guy that gave rebellion to Dante) suck. Rebellion was given to Dante by his father. Ebony and Ivory are non-existant. Sparda died BEFORE Eva died...and I'm sure Eva wouldn't have had an ugly ass brother. And why would the guy need immortality? Sparda met Eva shortly before the twins were born! She wasn't immortal! How would he know if he was immortal if he hasn't been alive for hundreds of years?
Lady was messed up, sure she does rely on skills and firearms, but the actor looked nothing like her and she lacked the red/blue eyes.
Also, Dante's office is in a city without many really tall buildings, the DMC world doesn't have many sprawling metropolitan areas. You could tell from the areas in the shots that they are in modern areas. DMC should be shot in some place like The Narrows in Batman Begins. Just kinda old places, but not too old.
Overall-
It lacks imagination and it twists and turns DMC into something that isn't DMC anymore. Its a martial arts flick with DMC undertones.
If I went out got a really good camera, I could do a hundred times better.
I'd get a canon-compatible, if not actual canon, story. Proper...er props...good actors. Perhaps no demons, but I'd probably be shooting the parts with humanoids anyways.
Basically R.L. Scott sucks and he can't make a DMC movie. If I could make a film on no budget, and he can't on SOME budget...then he sucks...or I'm good, I can't decide which LOL
j/k
