Vergil's Awakening Pt. 1
It is a time of great peril. Demonic forces have gained control of both Heaven and Earth, and have nearly wiped out all of humanity, with small settlements here and there. The great hero Sparda and his wife have been killed by an unknown demonic assassin, leaving behind 2 children, Dante and Vergil, both age 8. Their story begins now.....
Vergil, age 10, awoke in an ice cold sweat. He had been dreaming of his mother, about the day they had found her mutilated and scorched body after coming home from school. It was their 8th birthday, and they each had been given a half of their father's amulet. Vergil's half was gold, and Dante's silver. Their mother had said it wasn't much now, but it would be worth the world when they discovered what it could do.
2 years ago....
Later, after showing off the amulets at school, they returned home, and found their mother brutally murdered. Her beautiful face wasn't even recognizable, her body was mutilated, scorched black, and what remained was a mangled mess.
Dante broke down and cried, and Vergil remained silent. Both swore revenge.
Dante asked Vergil " What will we do without Mom?", to which Vergil replied " We go out on our own, and try to find out who did this." Vergil picked up his father's katana, Yamoto, and Dante decides he liked the broadsword, Rebellion.
7 years later....
Dante & Vergil, age 15
Dante and Vergil had grown further and further apart. Vergil had discovered that he had incredible speed capabilities, and had become extremely cold-hearted after the death of his mother. Dante had made 2 handguns after the blueprint his father had left behind before his death when they were infants. Dante didn't like the names " Luce & Ombre", so he decided to change them to "Ebony and Ivory". Both had learned the ways of the sword extremely well, but Vergil was obviously the superior of the 2, because he was more serious about the sword training.
When Vergil witnessed Dante using Ebony and Ivory, he chastised him for using a dishonorable weapon. He said that guns are the reason humans humans kill each other in such record-breaking numbers. Vergil said " You are no brother of mine. Get out of my sight!"
Dante angrily left, and they would not see each other until they turned 18.
