    Devil's_Blade07:

    I'm stuck. Someone help plase?

I've reached the Ruins of Euryale and I can't figure out how to get past the gate with the double pressure pad lock. Can anyone shed some light on the situation?

Oh, I know what you're talking about. Okay, go to the left and jump over the barely closed spike blocker and break the wall. Then go opposite of the room and break the other breakable wall. You will see that the debree (or however you spell it) is flowing through the stream and going over to the other side of the room and through that stream. Where you can't get the dead body through.... So it is cycling from the left to the right and vice versa.... I'm sure that's a good enough hint.

    BTW: Inbox Blade.

I'm about to complete the game. I've defeated the Sisters of Fate and I'm about to look for my thread. Does anyone have tips for fighting Zeus?

I've had one upgrade to my health and magic, and I've maxed out everything apart from the Barbarian Hammer and the Spear of Destiny.

Actually all I did in Zeus was abusing the use of the FleceStick out tongue
And I had most to level max except for the Eyryales Head and the BowAngel

I never did master the Fleece. Most of the time, I deflect attacks by accident when trying to execute a special attack, normally Cyclone of Chaos. I haven't used Prometheus' Torment for ages.

And while we're on the subject of the Fleece, I watched a video of Zeus' death. Or, to be more precise, how the last part of the fight should look. And it pwns. As soon as I rent GoW2 again, I'm gonna jump straight on it and kick Zeus' godly ass all over Rhodes.

Zeus isn't gonna die in this game. But he will in GOW3. That's propably what the GOW-story is all about: "explaining" why the gods on the Olympus and all the other mythological creatures don't exist (anymore).

Because Kratos annihilated them all. But who'll annihilate Kratos?

Actually I don't really care how he will die (if he will die that is), but I do hope that Zeus gets an asskicking payback in the the GOW3 game he will never forget.

By the way, did anyone see the bonus feature in GOW1 about Kratos's brother? That guy just HAS to show up in the third game.

I also hope that the movie (if it's even gonna be more than just an idea that's worth making real) won't make Kratos look like crap

    Re: God of War 2

Dangit! The cat's out of the bag! (About Kratos fighting Zeus)

Well, my tip is this. When you are fighting Zeus in his huge form, it's best to just keep shooting him with the arrow. When the Siren chicks come then save enough Magic to use Atlas Quake and then press O whenever the toggle thingy comes up above their heads, it gives you a lot of Magic so then you can just keep shooting Zeus with the bow and arrow. And just keep repeating. Oh, and since you have the Blade of Olympus at the final fight, it is wise to hold L1 and press triangle to weaken the Sirens if you run out of Magic. It is a ranged attack and it is strong!

And for fighting him head on in the Gladiator-looking floating ring up in the sky. Be very careful at all times. He has a habit of just throwing lightning bolts at all of his problems. -__- So it takes some practice to block right before his first thunderbolt hits you and then you can deflect it with the golden fleece and throw it back at him. It yields magic and health...well, some. >.> If you deflect the first bolt then the second bolt will not hurt you. And after playing that game so much, you start to get sharp instincts on what he will do next. So if you feel he will not throw more "Zeus Magic" at you then you can do the L1 triangle thing and it hurts him alot. One more thing, after he kinda floats up and gold, blue, green orbs come out of him, it is okay for him to run up to you and take your sword. It is part of the game. You have to fight him again without the blade, after you weaken him enough, he will just go blind for a sec and start waving the sword around like crazy, so be careful of that. After that, press O on him (it will let you know when to do so) then repeatedly press O after you grab him. They give you maybe a milisecond to press O and if you don't he will take it away. But after you test each others strength, you will take the sword back and stab him and then fight him again with the sword. Then after you fight him the 2nd time with the Blade of Olympus, he takes the sword away from you once again and you have to fight him and repeat the same thing you did as the last time. Well...you can work your way through it after that. ;)

Aha! Just as I suspected. I wont even begin to read all of that Beo. Though I will say I've read enough to know what is going on. I might finish that game someday. But in GOW3, if Kratos starts talking with a lisp I wont play it anymore.

    Re: God of War 2

    lol Cobalt....lol

Ok, Titan mode is so....freaking...HARD! I'm at the savepoint right before I fight the Undead Barbarian and I already died 62 times! Both Thesius and Undead Barbarian are really hard. Just wait until I get to Eurayle, King Cerberus, that one hard part right after you get Atlas Quake...all of that. :'( I beat God mode (hardest) on GoW1 twice before I even played GoW2, and still I died many times when it was on Spartan (normal) mode on GoW2! I also beat it on God mode (hard) several times on GoW2 before I tried Titan mode. I thought I was ready to step up but now God mode is easy but Titan mode is hard. I mean, they give you alot less Red Orbs, harder enemies, and the magic and life orbs don't help as much, unlike anything in GoW1. Part 1, the mode was only effected by enemy difficulty and nothing else if I remember right.

Another thing.... you guys know that there was a different Chief Director (I think that was the title) in part 2 then there was in part 1? In part 1 it was David Jaffe, part 2 had Cory Barlog. And Cory really messed some things up. *Spoiler for the rest of the post* In the end of part 2 Kratos found out from Athena that his papa is Zeus himself... which was not the case for part 1. If you all beat Spartan mode in part 1 you would have gotten an extra video that says that Kratos -atop his throne as the new God of War- eventually sets out to find his mommy and she tells him that his father is Zeus. Which isn't the case for what really happens in part 2. If you look at the bonus disc for part 2 Cory talks about this incident and he just goes out with an "I don't care *rolls eyes*".... WTF man, you just screwed up Dave's plan! One more thing, in a vid in part 1, Kratos' wife looks different from part 2. Remember the video when she's like "how much is enough Kratos? When will it end!?"...and then in part 2 she looks way different.

So what do you think they should do? Do you think they should keep Barlog or Jaffe for making GoW3 (probably the last GoW title)? I think Jaffe did a lot better job for part 1. Part 2 Kratos looks shorter, his skin is alot brighter...facial expressions are cartoony. Some points in 2, the graphics are better...but I still like the more mature graphics of part 1 as far as the looks of character goes.

    Re: God of War 2

I don't know who is going to direct part 3, but I can most certainly say it's NOT goind to be Dave Jaffe. If i got it right, he got some sort of promotion after GOW1. He has a higher position in the production of videogames now.

    Re: God of War 2

Ok, today I officially beat GOW 2. I know it took a while. It's not because it was hard but that I wanted to drag it out a bit. And I had other things and games to get done first. But I thought I would make it last. Especailly since the PS2 life span is dwindling down in a hurry. There won't be many good PS2 games left to play soon.
