Ok, today I officially beat GOW 2. I know it took a while. It's not because it was hard but that I wanted to drag it out a bit. And I had other things and games to get done first. But I thought I would make it last. Especailly since the PS2 life span is dwindling down in a hurry. There won't be many good PS2 games left to play soon.

Ok, so lately I have been playing a lot of this game, in fact I have been playing it I think about 3 hours a night. Sometimes less, I have put this game off for an awful while now; and thought that this week I would finish it. To be honest - with this game I wasn't too much impressed. I just hate it when people Rank this to Devil May Cry, this is not even in Devil May Cry's league. They say that this is the best action game, which is clearly an over-estimate. The only reason this is getting ratings like this is because of a few twirly moves. I don't really see what is so great about the game. After months and months of putting this off, I just had to get through it, and though it was an improvement compared to the first game - it still didn't live up to my expectations. (A lot of you God of War fans are now thinking - How high can his expectations be?!) right? Well, they were certainly higher than this game, I mean the Story is not as gripping as I thought it would be, the combat system is a little too easy in my opinion. And the overall game is too easy in my opinion. I went into playing this expecting a very hard game, when it turned out to be easy. Even the bosses went down easily. And Zeus, well, he was one of the easiest in my opinion. The overall combat was flimsy, and the monsters too easy, even though I was playing it on Hard.

To be honest - I don't see the rush of it. I don't think it is one of the best games out, and it certainly isn't original. I preferred Shadow of the Colossus much more in terms of Gameplay than this. It had the same sort of aim - pitting you in a place of a man, and taking down these huge beasts that are like 100 times the mans size. Shadow of the Colossus was much better than this, and Kratos dialogue is much too Korny for this type of game, in my opinion it really does not fit in with the game. And that big deep voice of his, lol. Thats all I have to say. Overall, I wasn't very impressed.

I feel GoW1 was a bit better as far as the graphics style and stuff. The style for part 2 sucked. The first one was more 'mature' should I say? The shape of the blades was skinny near the handle and got bigger at the end, Kratos' body is physically brighter... Part 1, you couldn't even see his eyes in mid game, it was all just dark and shadowy. Much of 2 looks all cartoony.

Yes, Zeus is pretty fun to fight and he's easy as hell. Of COURSE you would prefer Shadow of the Colossus from GoW!
