    Re: Devil's Exodus - RPG

The four hunters and the old woman appeared at the battle. Dante noticed them and shouted "Feel free to join us but just don't steal my spotlight!". Gorrath rushed forward ramming a large amount of demons in the air. But it was the air that formed the real problem. An enormous flock of Gryphions, Abyss Goats and Blood Goyles was visible in the distance. Ares, Van Helsing and the angelic-like demon girl flew towards the flock. Gorrath generated a massive lightningstorm and sent it towards the flying demons. Van Helsing and the demon girl fired a huge rain of arrow-like feathers behind the wave of lightning. Van Helsing even added up with the automatic crossbow he carried with him. They didn't spare a single one of the flock.

After that Ares and the other two aimed at the battle on the ground.

    Re: Devil's Exodus - RPG

Van Helsing shifted back to his human form and pulled his two Colt Python's with silver bullets. Because of the effect of silver on demonic blood, every demon hit with one of these bullets started burning from the inside. Still being in his Alien-form, Gorrath sprayed a large amount of his acidic blood at the demons. The ones hit by it roared and screamed in pain and looked like they were being digested in an invisible stomach. Ares let his wings dissapear and swiped his chainblades at a couple of demon's bellies. This made their guts fall out. They eventually died of a huge loss of blood. The demon girl was also still in her demon form and was firing her arrow-feathers at the battle below. Matier even helped from a distance by hypnotising some of the demons, making them kill a few comrades before committing suicide. Dante was swiping fiercely around him with Rebellion. The eyes of the skull on the broadsword were burning crimson red. Lady and the soldiers bravely sticked hundreds of bullets and grenades up their enemies asses.

When all of the demons layed scattered all over the square, everyone was breathing heavily. Dante walked upon the four hunters and said with a grin:"You must've had a hard job holding back enough so I could get the most of them". Ares replied with "Instead of being so sure of yourself, you could at least say thanks, buddy!" before roaring into laughter. Ares pulled his pot of Gorgon-eyes and gave one to everyone that was badly wounded or poisoned. Gorrath sat down on a pile of wallbricks, checking his own wounds and taking a few gulps from somethhing that had the look of fresh snot in old coffee. Lady smelled the bottle and said with a look of pure disgust "Grose, how can you drink this sh*t?". "Well, it's about the only kind of food on this planet you can call healthy for me" the tall man replied with a big grin and an awfully stinking breath. Van Helsing walked upon Dante to get to know him: "The son of Sparda, we meet at last. The name's Gabriel Van Helsing". Dante jumped up ten feet in the air "NO WAY!!! I thought you were only a myth in one of the Books of Ancient Legends!". "As I recall, so was your father" Van Helsing replied calmly. The squad leader got his men together and said to Dante:"I think it is better that me and my men get back to our camp to get some rest. You guys look like you could use some too.

Dante replied "Yeah, we might just do that". He took the hunters to his shop. On their way there he recognised the demon girl as Lucia, the girl that helped him fight against the president of Oroboros Technologies, a madman that had the obsession of trying to get the power of the imprisoned demon lord Argosax. As they arrived, Dante got some improvised beds together and lend his own bed and his best sofas to the two girls and the old woman. He said to all of them "We'll discuss everything tomorrow after breakfast".

    Re: Devil's Exodus - RPG

the defence of the client's city seemed to be doing fine as the city was surprisingly peacefull. the city was very populated and it took a while for arucard to find the place as he took eight wrong turns. finally, as they reached the client.

"that took longer than i had expected." said the client crossly.

"you never mentioned him being guarded by demons or that the way back would be covered in them after i killed the b*******," retorted zeno.

"excuses might cost you," joked the client.

"i hope not. then i would have to kill you," said zeno with an odd smile. the client laughed with a hint of malice in his voice. arucard smiled as he adjusted his specs.

"lets get to the point," said the client as he walked towards them. as zeno removed the bug like creature from it's container, the bug bit him.

"yes, this is it," replied the client as he swallowed the bug whole.

"that can't be good for you," said arucard half laughing.

"on the contrary, it will make me stronger than you."

"when, in a million years?" joked arucard

"it doesn't take long for it to turn me into a demon," replied the man.

"as for the money," said zeno impatiently. zeno watched as the man went over to his desk and converted a large sum of money into zeno's hidden account.

"lets do business in the future." said zeno as he passed his client a card with the ace of spades and other writings on it.

"we-" the man collapsed. arucard checked his vital signs.

"he's fine," arucard replied. arucard then transferred a large sum of money into his account.

"don't screw with my clients," zeno protested.

"if you dont want him taking your money back then," answered arucard as he trashed the computer.

"... lets just leave," zeno sighed. sounds were now audible at the thirty-first floor which they were on. arucard looked down through the window.

"yeah.... theres a war going on down there," said arucard. they took the stairs down to avoid the cable of the elevator being cut with them inside it. they got outside to find their car missing and demons of all kinds stalking the streets. just then, a building neer them started to shudder as a demon, or the top half of a giant so to speak, emerged from it.

"awww, screw this!" said arucard as he began to retreat.

"yeah, no way that's gonna die," zeno agreed as he ran after him. by this time, the pair were surrounded by demons.

    Re: Devil's Exodus - RPG

Although the plane had good jet engines, Edward wanted to have a least 12 hours to prepare for landing in a new continent full of enemies and potential allies, he had never even left the Vatican before, let alone wandered into the skies, but thankfully, the auto-map and pilot systems took much of the strain away from him. He sat down and dialled at the map, looking at his exact position, almost there.

He got up and walked over to the passenger area, where he sorted through his bag and looked at all the equipment, there was his sword, firearms, and bullets tipped with holy water, along with a detailed GPS map of North America. He fiddled with its controls and zoomed in closer to the moving population of people, it looked like there was a great battle raging against vicious demons, but the humans had military technology to their advantage and were holding back the dark swarm. He frowned and put the map back in the bag, and checked through, he had food and water, as well as a compass. As if that was going to help.

He got out a copy of the Bible and began to read through it, over the years he had become disinterested in the religion and the institution he was helping to safeguard, only that he did it right. But realising that war was raging and the very survival of this world was hanging in the balance, he flicked through again. In frustration he could not find any passage that comforted him and threw the book onto the floor. He then heard a strange growling noise coming from outside the plane, which must have been very loud.

He ran back to the cockpit and looked at the map again, he was over America now, and the group was little over half-an-hour's plane travel. Edward looked up to see a bright light, and an angelic looking being with a glowing sword coming from it. It seemed to hover in front of the plane's nose, and he smiled, it was the most beautifiul creature he had ever seen.

But then it revealed it's true face, it was a horrible, large grotesque mouth. It was a fallen angel working for the dark powers.

Edward immediatly took control of the plane and dove downwards, but somehow the creature was still hovering over the front of the plane, and several other beings much like it flew past and surrounded the plane. Edward didn't know what to do so he grabbed his pistol and got ready for anything, but then the fallen in front threw it's sword onto the nose of the plane, piercing it, and staying there. The engine was beginning to fail, and it was only going to get worse when the sword started to glow. Edward knew it was bad and he sealed the cockpit from the other side, but not before seeing the sword explode and rip apart the pilot area. The plane began to dive rapidly.

Edward ran to find a parachute, and got his bag on, but before he could open the door and jump off another of the fallen beings had merged through the plane, and was attacking Edward. Their swords clashed again and again, as the rest of the plane headed straight towards the desert in a smoky dive, the screeching of which was becoming more intense.

The fallen had then knock Edward over and was ready to launch the killing blow when the shock of the plane crashed and scraped along the ground of a new land.

Edward knew he was unfamilar territory, and an enemy was set to kill him.

    Re: Devil's Exodus - RPG

    BANG! BANG! BANG!

The angel reeled from the attack. The shooter kept firing until the angel faded. He walked into the wreckage of the plane and spotted the man the angel was about to kill.

    "You okay, sir?" he asked.

"Fine, thank you," replied the man. "Who are you?"

"Sergeant Jack Miller, US Army. I'm on patrol with my platoon." He reloaded his pistol while he spoke. "All hell's broken loose around here, literally. These demon things are running amok. We have the firepower to stop them, but we've taken heavy casualties." He helped the man up onto his feet. "And you are?"

"My name is Edward. I have been sent here from the Vatican on a mission of great importance."

"I can imagine so," replied Sergeant Miller. "You fit to fight?"

"I think so," said Edward. "Where is the rest of your platoon?"

"They're spread out around the area, but there's been signs of heavy activity and recent battle to the east. Most of them will probably be around there." He checked his PDA for a moment, then put it away and loaded his pistol. "Come on. You'll never complete your mission stood there."

Edward gathered his equipment and followed Miller into the chaos.

    Re: Devil's Exodus - RPG

The sky was clouded. Everyone got up and went to the small dining room in Dante's shop for some breakfast. While they ate, not much was said. As everyone finished their meal, the plates and cups made place for a large world some pointing needles and some other stuff.

Van Helsing was the first one to start speaking: "I have some spies all over America, they inform me whenever they even hear just a whisper that can lead to the human or entity that started this war". "I wouldn't be surprised if it's another wise guy that doesn't want to understand that the human body can't handle demonic energies, beleave me, I've seen enough examples" Dante replied. Suddenly a beeping sound could be heared from Gorrath's pocket. Gorrath took his cellphone out and answered it: "Hello?...Oh, it's you your eminence....Sent by archbischop Gregory?....Coming here?....Yes, your eminence, yes, I will keep that in mind, okay, bye!". Van Helsing asked "Was it the cardinal that sent you here?". "Yeah, he told me that archbischop Gregory sent a guy named Edward this way. Its one of the guardians of the secret libraries. The plane he used to come here crashed into a desert in this state. I should go to him to discuss some things with him. I'll ask for directions in the army camp nearby. Once I've got the location, I'll need a vehicle to go there". Lady answered to that with "You can use my jet-powered bike, I'm not going to need it for a while". "Thanks a lot!" replied Gorrath. Van Helsing continued with "In the mean time, I'll fly to the Aztec ruins of Montezuma, my spies spotted a large energy field deep inside the ruins there! I'll need someone to go with me, so...". "I'll go with you, I allways wanted to see Aztec ruins and besides, you are a good sparring partner!" Lucia replied spontaneously. Dante and the others crossed eyes with large grins. Matier said "If that's were you really want to go, then I must go back home, I must start gathering younglings to rebuild the Vie De Marli, I will take them with me afterwards to help in the last great battle". Ares offered "I could go with you for a while, ma'am, I've been waiting for a ong time to meet people I could pass my battle techniques onto!". Matier answered "That would be splendid".

Dante said "Lady and I will stay around this place to help the soldiers in this district fighting the demons. I think it would be best if we regather here again in about a month". Everyone answered positively. After that everyone went out. Van Helsing and Lucia transformed and started their journey to Montezuma. Gorrath jumped on Lady's bike and rode to the army camp. Matier used her magic to teleport herself and Ares back to the sinister island of the Vie de Marli. Dante and Lady waved everyone goodbye before actually going out for a bloody "walk".

    Re: Devil's Exodus - RPG

Arucard took out his knives and Zeno unshiethed his katanas. flash bombs exploded everywhere and blinded everyone temporarily. a figure with long white hair and a menicing scythe that shown platinum in the ivory moonlight. it was lLady Death, the true Queen of Spades, Piastol of Zeno's four known Angels of Death (including him). Arucard and Zeno smiled as the bloody dance began. Demons everywhere fell. Zeno caught a demon on the chin and sent it flying into the air. Arucard diced demons like they were pizza. Piastol did a misty flip, slicing three demons, and landed kicking another in the face. Arucard got out his gun and started using it like a quarter staff, breaking legs and heads wherever he swung. a demon tried to stab Zeno but was parried into another demon and Zeno reposted killing the other one. the three alone could not take on the legion that stood before them. just then, the defense force arrived and began battle with the demons. tanks rammed through the lines as machine gun fire mowed demons like a tracter. sins ghosted in and killed inhabitants of apc's and tanks. surviving tanks set off their machine guns as well as turrets. frosts and blades danced arround the machine guns and started taking out the troops. Arucard ran to an empty tank.

"we should get something faster" suggested Piastol.

"but this can go up to 70" replied Arucard

"an apc would be faster" zeno put in.

"let me spell it out for you. I-WANT-IT!" Arucard clarified.

"whatever" Piastol and Zeno both replied. they got into the tank and sped off. Arucard was driving (of course) on the sidewalks and over cars and demons.

"Grim has a job for us," reported piastol. Zeno and Arucard both frowned. nothing good comes from seeing Grim... EVER!

    Re: Devil's Exodus - RPG

It took Van Helsing and Lucia a week to get to Montezuma, even in their transformed state. It was early in the morning. Van Helsing got word from his spies that the source of the energy came from somewhere beneath the great pyramid. As they walked towards it, Van Helsing suddenly asked "Hey Lucia, back at Dante's office, when you called me a good sparring partner, what did you mean by that?". With sparkling eyes and a very girlish laugh she replied "That's something you want to know, huh? Well, I might tell you sometime!".

They entered the old, open pyramid and there was nothing but stones and sand. But, being both kinda inhuman, they were close enough to feel the energy vibrating through the entire place themselves. They started looking for secret buttons or any sort of sign that might lead to the source of energy. Suddenly, Van Helsing stepped on a well hidden stone. It opened an old hatch, but a few seconds before it opened Lucia stepped on it. She was launched into the air. As an act of reflex, Van Helsing rushed forward to catch Lucia. As she landed in his arms she said "Wow, Gabriel, such a gentleman". They entered the hole in the ground. Lucia lit a torch with her demon powers. First there was a long stairs and then a long corridor. The strange thing about the corridor was that the ceiling was full of glowing, snake-like runes. At the end of the corridor there was a huge cave with a big chock of ice in the middle of it. The energy seemed to come from it. As the stood close enough, they could see that inside the ice, a strange longsword was absorbing and sending away green energypulses. Suddenly the both of them heard a strong voice talking in their heads "Who is foolish enoug to be put to the test by me, Ragnarok, the living rage of the great dragons?". The chock of ice melted in an instant. The blade hovered in the air for a few seconds and stabbed Van Helsing right in the chest. He fell down to the ground. The blade's energy now coursed through Van Helsing, testing him. Lucia screamed in fear "Gabriel, NO, please don't die, please don't leave me here all alone!". While Ragnarok was still testing Van Helsing, an enormous, two-headed snake came slithering from a hole in the ceiling. Lucia pulled her Klyamoor-blades and transformed. She rushed towards the beast, but one of the heads bashed her into a wall. The creature pulled her out of the wall and startet strangling her, choking her to death. But suddenly Van Helsing dissappeared and in his placen there was a mighty black dragon with silver claws and fangs. "Van Dragon" ripped the skin off the heads of the beast. It let go of Lucia immediately. Only having lost the skin on it's heads, it still wasn't dead, so "Van Dragon" spitted an enormous green flame at the monstruosity to kill it succesfully.

Van Helsing shifted back to his human form and hurried up to Lucia. She was unconcious. He slapped her in the face a couple of times. She eventually woke up. She punched him in the face before saying "You're late!" and kissing him intensely. "Thank you for saving my life" she said afterwards. "D..d..don't mention it!" he replied while slightly sniggering. They stood up and happily walked to the exit. Some low-class demons showed up, but they were no match for Van Helsing's "new toy". They spent another week in the local area together before going back to Dante's place.

Vordan decided to stick around with Dante and Lady. He went out scouting for a while. He walked among the pandemonium, keeping an eye on the shadows and a hand on his sword at all times. He came across an army patrol. In the sky above them, he could see a pack of Bloodgoyles. He crouched among the rubble and picked up a rifle from a fallen soldier. Sorry, but I need it more than you do... He didn't have time to feel guilty. He loaded the rifle silently, took aim at one of the Bloodgoyles and fired. It solidified instantly, dropped to the ground and broke apart. The soldiers lifted their weapons instantly. "Guys, look out!" Vordan pointed to the sky. The Bloodgoyles dived, enraged at the demon who had taken one of them. Vordan unfurled his enormous wings and launched a volley of energy blasts at the pack. They didn't solidify when hit, they just exploded in a shower of dust and blood. Folding his wings, he nodded to the soldiers and strode onward. He finished his rounds and, satisfied that the soldiers were on top of the situation for now, returned to Devil May Cry.

    Re: Devil's Exodus - RPG

Edward ran after Miller, brandishing his sword in the process, he would have felt like a knight in the days of old, battling demonic forces had it not been for a US sergeant weilding modern weapons, but then again so was Edward. He ran to the top of the hill and began to overlook a large battlefield, surrounded by thousands of dead and living humans and demons, fighting for and against each other, it was quite so black and white as Edward had once thought. The army was winning the battle, but still taking heavy casualities to the east, Miller patted Edward on the shoulder and they headed on downwards.

On their way through they passed through some cavarns, which were small but an ideal spot for a skirmish to take place in, and surely enough, there was. These demons took on a grim reaper esque form, and walked slowly with their sythes towards Miller and Edward. Miller raised his rifle, an M16 from the looks of it, and began to fire, Edward did the same in the opposite direction with his rifle tipped with holy water on the bullets. The bullets burned right through the head of the first demon, and then the second, and so forth, but dozens were approaching on each side, and would soon overwhelm them.

"You wouldn't happen to have any holy hand-grenades on you by any chance would you!?" Miller shouted above the blasting rifle.

"No!" Edward shouted back, he saw that this fight would be lost unless they changed tactics. "Okay! This is what we'll do! We'll run for the exit together and blast our way through!" Miller looked back and nodded, and they both charged forward, Edward got out his sword and Miller kept shooting while running forward, carving their way through and narrowly dodging several attacks. They then reached the other side, and the slow demons were turned around and headed towards them.

"Now we have the upper hand, let's destory them." Edward said.

"No, we gotta help out the others." Miller said as he headed to the east, but noticed that Edward was just looking at the demons with his sword unsheathed.

"You want this army to keep going? You have to kill more of the enemy first." Edward said.

"Look godamnit, if we don't get there in time this battle may be lost!"

"THEN YOU GO!" Edward shouted before running back to the demons and attacking with his sword, quickly killing two by slicing their heads off. Miller shook his head and headed off, keeping his guard up as he headed off to help his friends. Edward then killed some more demons and lept on top of one that was right ahead of him, stabbing downwards, and jumped off, swinging his sword and cutting heads off other demons in the process. He then got out his rifle and switched to semi-automatic, and began to shoot bursts at the remaining demons, finishing the group off. He walked back in the direction of the battle. He then got into a jog, just in time to see Miller with several others, trying to fend off a large demon much like Pegasus, but instead the demon was weilding a large hammer, smashing into several of Miller's men, but Edward quickly ran forward, and climbed up the demon, and quickly started to stab it in the head, and the demon could not defend itself, so it helplessly collapsed and died.

"Okay, how the hell did you do that?" Miller asked.

"I was trained to do stuff like this, but it appears the U.S army doesn't know when to take intiative." Edward said before beginning to walk off.

"If we're in this battle, we're in it together Edward, whether you want it or not."

"Fine." Edward huffed. "But I'm not your damned babysitter, in fact, you're on your own in the battlefield, I'll happily kill the enemy, but I won't stop doing so in order to save you or your friends." As the group headed off in the intense silence, one of the soliders breathed deeply. They would soon reach the battle ground and finish the rest of this fight.

    Re: Devil's Exodus - RPG

Gorrath was following the deserted highway on Lady's jet-powered bike to the army camp where Edward's plane crashed nearby. He really liked riding this vehicle. His destination wasn't as far away from him as he feared. Even on the highway, he could see a glimpse of tents and portable barracks in the distance. it took him another half our to get there. As he finally reached his destination, the camp was deserted. He shouted "Yo, anybody home?". No response.

As he kept quiet for a few minutes, he could hear gunshots in the distance. He transformed in his intimidating Alien-form and rushed in the direction of the battle.

Edward and Sergeant Miller had a small group of demons cornered. One by one the demons fell under the guns of the two men. As they were finished with their targets, they found out that a larger group of demons got THEM cornered. Miller said "*** man, since whe did they show up?". "I dunno, but if we can't cut our way through them, we won't be able to cut our way through anything else anymore!" Edward replied, pulling his heavier rifle. Edward and Miller emptied barrel after barrel at their attackers but they kept showing up and got closer and closer. The other soldiers were either dead, unconcious or busy with their own demons. The situation seemed to be becoming worse, bit by bit.

Meanwhile, being still in his transformed state, Gorrath managed to get up to the rockface Edward an Miller were cornered into, whitout anyone noticing. When the situation got really out of hands, Gorrath sprayed Edward and Miller's besetters with a large amount of his acidic blood. The ones that got hit screamed in pain. Gorrath jumped down landing between the demons and their two victims. He shifted back to his human form, jumped up and threw a flurry of shurikens at the beasts. He killed the rest of them with his trusty axe. He turned to the two stunned men and with a big grin he said "Guess I got right on time, didn't I?". Edward asked "Who are you, stranger?". Gorrath replied " My name is Gorrath Algervon, I'm sent here by the Vatican to fight alongside the son of the Legendary Dark Knight Sparda and you must be Edward Hyperion, guardian of the Secret Libraries, sent by Archbisschop Gregory". Edward was stunned to hear that Gorrath knew so much about him even by their first meeting and asked how that was possible. "Well, the cardinal closest to pope Sebastian, the one who sent ME, gave me a picture of your face through internet, now you we 'd better finish off the rest of these bastardsand and then I want to know why I'm not the only Vatican Knight tha was sent here". Edward replied with "Whatever, man!". They ran towards the rest of the battle to finish it.

    Re: Devil's Exodus - RPG

Arashi glances around as she enters the city, her long sapphire blue hair braided down her back and her black wolf ears twitiching back and forth, listening for voices or sounds unusual to her. She slowly and quietly walks down the sidewalk, noticing much is in ruins and crumbling to the ground, also noticing signs of battle and struggle aswell. She quickly changes her appearence to make herself look like a normal human, changing her eye color from crimson red to a light apple green color.

Once she changes her appearence she continues to walk through the city, looking for any sign of life, or any survivors. She pats the sheath of the sword at her side, getting comfort from knowing its there if she may need it as well as double checking to see how many daggers she has left after the battle she just fought recently herself. After looking around the city a little more and exploring, she finds an emtpy and crumbling church and enters it to get some rest.
