Re: DMC movie based on the novel

well, I can already see you've got good taste

    lol

But you're right, that scene might need a little something. I'll look over it to be sure.

Since Dante remembers his mother, and even a bit  of his father, I figured he'd remember Yamato, too. So the sword remains the same, yet it is wrapped up in bandages to match Gilver's face. The reveal of his true identity to the audience is my favorite scene, its very moving to me.

I haven't gotten a chance to read the mangas, but if making them work independently ...well...doesn't work...then I can always bring the highlights into the beginning of Dante's awakening or add them to Blood Vengeance. My original plan was to make it in chronolgical order like this: DMC Blood Vengeance ( Dante is 17, it gives flshbacks in dreams) Sequel to blood vengeance, no title yet . It'd be the Mangas. Dante's awakening, then DMC1 ( Which I am already writing)

Its fun to write them, and it wouldn't kill me if I never got to make them. However, if they were made....As a fan who has been let down by some game-to-movie adaptions....I can say my movies wouldn't disappoint...

Re: DMC movie based on the novel

    Darn right

    Fans would make 'em better.

I was just watching Resident Evil: apocolypse last night and it had such potential...but failed to impress me. There were so many things in the movie that I don't want to have happen to DMC...

    Yes, there's a novel.

However, due to DMC3's storyline, it became non-canonical. Simply put, it doesn't fit with the story anymore.

    But!!

    There's hope!

I loved the novel's story so much that I fixed it up, so to speak, and reconciled it with DMC canon.

Thus, my script ( which is the topic of this thread) was born

    yay

    Well...umm...*ahem*...thanks...lol

anyways....I can go off topic on my thread if I want! HAHA! Resident evil is a great game series, but the movies were disappointing to me. Instead of using the characters to make a parallel storyline, they screwed with the canonology and that wasn't nice!

Believe me...I was just as shocked...lol

Yeah I got started on this project pretty early...I even started the script BEFORE I even read the book!! Luckily I was right on track. I'm up to over 15,000 words and 60-some-odd pages ( I think 67)  and I'm only in the middle of my second draft!!

anyways, you're right about the forum. Its nicer than some of the bigger ones

Re: DMC movie based on the novel

Re: DMC movie based on the novel

Only those that are in the books.....

except for the replacement for the monkey creature.....Its replacement is a dragon-like being. Its supposed to be the leader of the Shades (the shadow demons) and I figured I'd try a latin name...I think I may have found one, not sure though...though the name is never spoken. The corporeal creatures are called the Blood, simply because they bleed through their pores, making their skinless exterior realy nasty....

so I've got intersting demons ;)

yeah I remember you. I have no idea, is it really closed, or has no one posted on it? I DO seem to remember someone saying they will close it until James' return....I don't know why james is absent

unfortunately I can't offer you trailers like he can....but I CAN tell you I sent my copy of my script to my sister and she's going over it sometime soon....she's a film genius that one
